The staff at Vail Ski Tech is always courteous and helpful. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I'm not crazy about the shoe storage bins but it is efficient.

Terrific service. Demoed, 2 pair of boots and then bought the ones I preferred. Later they helped make a few adjustments. Very friendly, not pushy.

I have used vst two time in 2021. Great service. The techs work extra hard to make sure everything fits correctly. They supply local knowledge and expertise. I ended up buying a pair of boots from them this go around. They had me try of several pairs to ensure proper fit. I also tried two different pairs before the purchase.

Terrible service. They insisted i had to use the boots They gave me, even though they felt small. In the end i just got injured. Poor quality in all their equipment and high prices. Go elsewhere

My husband and I only needed to rent snow pants. This is the only place that I found that rent the snow clothing. We got them for $9 each.

The place was right on with what they set me up on ! Great dogs, people and process. They worked with everybody with a smile. When I go back to Vail I will rent here again.

Awesome group of people. Lost a crucial binding screw two weeks ago, and while other Vail shops could not (or did not want to) help me, the guys at Vail Ski Tech took time out of their busy day to find me a screw that fit and install it with a touch of Loctite to ensure it stayed. I went on to race at Nationals the following week with the screw. THANK YOU for being rad. And having three awesome dogs in the shop.

Very nice people, great customer service, reasonable prices. They also sell accessories from goggles to gloves to camelbacks. They also have adorable dogs in the store :)

Called to ask about ski repair and asked for a location since I had seen some in the area. Nick gave a terse "try them" and hung up. Done, I will absolutely go to your competitor.

I had an appalling experience after being a more than 10 years customer. I was MISTREATED and ABUSED by the manager. The first day I was very satisfied with the service as the equipment they rented me out in their demo package was pretty good. Amazed by the boots I asked if it was possible to buy them. At first I was told I could buy them for 350 dlrs, which I thought was excessive for a pair of used boots. The next day I asked again, where another price was given to me 195 dlrs plus the already rented out days -250 dlrs in total. I thought it was strange, was that staff member trying to make some extra money for their pocket? I really liked the boots so I went ahead and bought them for 195 dlrs. However, I made the mistake of leaving them overnight, (I had been leaving them overnight as rented boots) The next day, I realised the boots looked different, older, greyer, with more marks, they fit very differently, I looked at the pictures I had taken of the boots I bought and they looked extremely different. THEY CHANGED THEM!!! As I came back to speak to the manager, he mistreated me, he spoke to me very rudely, raised his voice and said I was wrong. However, strangely offered to give me my money back asap. They stole my boots. That was theft. So sad to see a store trying to rip off their customers and steal their gear. There are lovely people working there, however be careful as a customer as you might get rip off or mistreated by other members of staff.

We rented bikes and when we returned at about 5:58 (2 minutes before closing) they acted out out that we used our rentals up until closing. Not impressed. Go to the shop to the west by the north face (wheel something).

Wife loved the friendly dogs. I love my new skis and bindings, cheaper than Double Diamond and nicer people. Also they did not bad mouth Double Diamond after my complaints about them.

Very friendly service! Asked to tune boots and Keith worked with us to improve fitting, no attempt to sell new boots. Great and honest approach to customer.

Good prices, okay services. Some workers are very nice others are very rude.

Good prices but you do get a bit of an attitude from some of the staff. They are one of the cheaper options so they manage a high volume and it feels like a production line. So if you want more of a personalized service then look elsewhere. If you are OK being part of the line then this place is fine. It was nice to see that they were the only ones offering an option for storing shoes during covid.

Showed up at Lions Head shop on 02/15/2019 3:15 pm. The place was empty and we proceeded to filled out the computer form For 3 rentals. As we approached the desk a young lady asked us to return at 5:00pm because was about to get busy. We requested the help at that time because some of us were very tire and trying to get back to Sun Vail. I find this policy unfair and unreasonable. We walked few steps to Charter Sports and received prompt, professional and excellent service.

I like this shop. Rented skis for kids and demo'd some for myself. We visited over the Christmas Holiday when everything is crazy busy but Vail Ski Tech had enough staff so to provide attention to everyone despite the volume of people in the shop. The manager gave me his time to talk about skis I might like to demo and steered me to my next new ski which I will buy from them. Good shop, located in Lionshead top of escalator to the right.

Great place for renting not only ski gear but also clothes. You can also buy other items.

I rent from these guys every year. Every time it's a great experience. Last year they finally got me in a good fitting boot that I ended up buying. Fitter said it was going to be tight but I needed to size down, I listened to his advice and while brutal on my feet for the first few days, after a few days of skiing it, it broke in and fit perfect. Very happy with the service here and look forward to seeing them in a few weeks for our guys ski trip. By far best prices in Vail too. Rent demo package and you'll get top of the line stuff. Put me on a Rossi Soul 7 for a few powder days last year and man was it perfect. Plus for a little extra they'll put your boots on heaters so you have warm dry boots the next day.

I have been going to Vail in the Summer and Winter for over 30 years. Year after year this group of guys and gals get right. Not the biggest but dam sure the best! Go USA!

My husband and I both purchased full sets of skis here after renting from them and bringing our friends to rent there for the past 2 years. We were going to return to Vaul in 7 days and asked the manager if they could store One pair of the brand new skis for us until we returned in 7 days. He said no, not without paying a $4 per day storage fee! I asked to speak to the manager and explained that we had just spent over $1,600 with them so why wouldn't they wave the $28 fee to store the skis we just bought!? He said that's their policy and they didn't have room to score skis for everyone who bought them. I said we could have waited to purchase the skis until next week and you would have still had the skis in inventory for another week, and he said "You should have done that"! So I said, "so you are telling me that you are willing to forgo our future business forever over $28, and he said yes. Oh well, that is not a company I would want to do business with again!

I have gone to Vail once or twice a winter for more than 10 years, and this is the only place I would rent skis from. Keith always hooks me and any guests I bring up. I have bought skis and boots that I love based on theri suggestions. Based on knowledge of equipment, price, friendliness, and expedience of service, cannot be beat. Right by the Lionshead Gondola.

Been to vail before, never had used ski tech. They were the only ones that had equipment due to New Years high volume. Started off the week by ski tech telling me they gave away my demo rental. Ended off telling me that it s a good thing I had the insurance because i screwed up their brand new board. You re better off going to SkiBase or Buzz s Board Shop. Others in our group had nothing but good things to say about the other ski shops. The service at ski tech was absolute garbage, none of us could ask for any help, staff was rude to my friends who had never been skiing before,, equipment was inferior, every other rental place has better equipment and is at least $10-$15 cheaper. I will never use ski tech again, and will steer everyone going to vail away from there.
