Being a salesperson myself for years I was a bit disappointed of the approach and down attitude of the salesperson but I did purchase a bike because I wanted it , don't know If I will go back there , but they should give a good sales formation to their staff it would help a lot and smile , be at least interested in the buyer's purchase and smile , if you don't like the job , there is other things to do . High five to Norco for my great bike but I'm going back to polo velo for maintenance

Be careful when you take your cheap bike for small repair amounts, the owner doesn't t like that and may try to break other parts of your bike to convince buying one from his store. I would recommend to go to Canadian Tire for repair if your bike not from his store. If you re spending a lot of $ in his store, I m sure his service would be good

Amazing service. Marc-Antoine and his team went beyond my expectations when buying my fat bike to make sure I was completely satisfied. I highly recommend going there. I have been going for several years to buy various pieces and I have never been disappointed.

Really helpful and knowledgable. Even when they had low stock of the Bike I wanted, they worked really had to get me that bike.

Personalized delivery and friendly manner was really appreciated.

Absolutely the worst. Bought 2 lights and 1 is defective (thats not why im unsatisfied) the other is the EXACT opposite of what i asked for. I wanted 1 front mountable flashlight and 1 rear red light not 2 rear lights! Also got my biked tuned to have my brakes fastened, when they returned my bike my rear brakes were unlatched and loosed nearly causing me to collide into a parked car.

Nice people but that doesn't make up for poor quality.

Check equipment and service before leaving store, dont take their word for anything!

I've been to this bike shop 3 times. First time was to have my rim trued. They told me it was impossible and I needed to buy a rim(special order). 2nd time I bring the rim and ask for a spoke wrench they sell me the wrong one. At the same time the owner/manager says he's gonna sell me his truing stand and shows me a $195 stand(Ts-8) and offers it for $90 so I say I'll be back the next day. I look into it and it's an older model(ts-7m) worth $88 brand new and was discontinued in 2005. I call him back and offer $50 seemed pretty fair. He says it's not worth it to him at that price. So clearly was just trying to sell his junk at a ridiculous price. I ended up truing the rim myself with a wrench from Canadian tire. Avoid this place if you can. Lots of less shady places.

Have gone there a few times but after today I will never go back. Went in to change a flat, the guy recommended changing my wheel as well (ok, I bike a lot), get home and the wheel is too big for my bike. Third visit I go to pick up my tires and the guy at the cash is beyond rude to me - I m 100% sure I was too anglophone for him. Then tries to overcharge me for my tires, then tell me they change tires all the time, it probably wasn t their error . Literally I asked for the same size tire and you put on a bigger one. At least I know where not to go for my bike!

If you like it to feel like you're bothering the staff when you need help, come here! If you are looking for a face of beef that welcomes you coldly at the opening of the store, come here! Really you will not find better if you love being uncomfortable because the bearded man in his thirties is more concerned about his baldness than to give you good service. Smiles and politeness are extra at Velozophie, but making you feel like an achalant client is free. I invite you to read the other reviews and see for yourself that I am not alone in identifying the same employee / manager who "is stupid" with his clients. Go to Bicycle Hull instead.

Edit: In response to my criticism, thank you for justifying what I meant. I never lamented that I received no service, but the lack of politeness and courtesy. I understand very well that it is possible to be busy and to have no other commitment time that has priority, but this is not a reason to be rude and tactless. All you need to demonstrate is that you are able to learn from your mistakes and take responsibility for your actions by excusing yourself instead of offering excuses for your lack of civility. So again, thank you for proving my point.

Excellent customer service, great mecanics, great people and some sickass deals on bikes and gear. These guys are my favorite for many reasons. They just make your mtb problems so much easier, they're the best, period.

Best bike shop in Gatineau if not the entire National Capital region. Always helpful to find parts, install and to take on new challenges. Prices are fair and upfront.

I drive a fat bike and they have parts!

I dropped off my bike for a quick job: tightening the chain and replacing a tire tube while they re at it. Upon dropping my bike I did not get an expected repair date, I was just told I would get a call back.

A week later, I called and was told the bike was ready. I installed the bike rack on the car and drove to pick it up. Upon inspection, the tire tube was fixed but the chain wasn t. Mechanics available at the time did not know how to fix it (nexus derailleur), and asked me to leave it for an extra day so another guy who was not there at the time could look at it.

Another week later, I hadn t received any news so I called back and was told the bike was ready. (Gee thanks for telling me...).

I installed the bike rack on the car and here I go to pick it up again. Surprise surprise, when I showed up the chain hadn t been fixed and they started scrambling to try to fix it. After a few minutes it became clear that it was going to be a rushed job. So I decided to ask them for my bike and I took it away.

Next time do yourself a favour. Drive the extra distance, and get yourself the client service you deserve. They will even do it with a smile.

Terrible. Went in for a brake change, chain replacement and fork installation . . Quoted $150, they demanded $250 at pick-up because of all the 'trouble' they had. My bike has never been the same since. Rear wheel squeaking constantly, forks are loose, the tire was even deflated when I got it back because they had the wrong washer stack up above the fender. Never gone back, should have demanded my money refunded - wrote this review instead. Do not shop here, these aren't mechanics, they're just making it up as they go.

I bought my Mountain Bike here about a month ago. I took it for an adjustment to the rear derailleur. It turns out the hanger was bent. They fixed it on the spot, and adjusted my brake lever position for me too. Great service!

Went there on a Friday night to purchase a bike, picked one but was told it was in a box and it would be ready the next day. Went back on Saturday afternoon and after waiting 20 mins, was told they had assembled the wrong bike. Asked if the right one could be ready for Sunday and was told that it would. Went back on Sunday afternoon only to be shown a scratched bike.. The guy told me that since it's a 2018 model that there was nothin he could do and it's sold as is. So i went to Bushtukah and spent my money there instead. Thanks for wasting my time.

Purchased Road Bike - They forgot to give me the peddles.
Called them 3 times. When I did get a hold of an employee, they told me they would look into it and call me back..I never heard from them again.

Went out and purchased new peddles.. I will never shop there again.

This is a small business with the owner working his axx off in the shop 7 days a week, I usually wait for less busy time in the day and prefer to deal with Marc Antoine himself unless I'm just buying nic-nacs...

For good advice, good repair and good bikes, this is a good place to shop. By cons, they are very disorganized. Make sure to keep the paper on which you are their estimated because it does not really method to organize their papers .... you will see. All of the employees with whom I dealt were very competent, but one really has difficulty to smile and make guests feel comfortable. That's why I will not return.

Super staff, nice and helpful EXCEPT the bald dude with a pale brown beard (you have to recognize yourself) I have rarely seen a beast look like, they are looking for the world everywhere if you do not like your job the friend .... It was not my first unpleasant experience with him but it was clearly my last visit to Velozophie !!! Too bad, the rest of the staff you are super cool but it ruins the customer experience ...

Good luck
