I give them 5 stars for the excellent customer service and the general atmosphere in the store. Is a mixed media artist I'm able to find a lot of different options between paint canvas and other materials in order to create. They also host free weekly mini events for kids.

Great art store with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. My wife was buying some materials as I was walking around staring at stuff. Got bored and started coloring myself with colored pencils. By the time we left I had colored all my fingernails different colors, mostly in a dark goth look. Anyways, as a non artist I couldn't tell what the heck I was looking at most of the time. Seemed like a great selection for artists.

Good inventory with friendly customer service. Sometimes the line gets long because of all the students from the plentiful art schools in the area...but overall it's a great store

Staff was helpful right away in guiding me to what I needed without me even asking. I was in and out.

They have a lot of variety in term of materials but it's too crowded. They should find a better way to manage the line that usually goes all around the store. And in terms of prices, it's affordable but they have more variety in brands in their 6th Ave store, with cheaper options.

Blick is s great spot for art supplies. They give good discountas for students and have some pretty good deals on canvases. The staff will usually help you with any questions you might have. I come here for drafting supplies often.

Best art store chain in NYC. Finally, you can go to almost any part of New York City & find a solid art store, aka the Home Depot of art stores.

It is a little Block so not everything is there but it a life saver we it comes to last minute issue like (broken needle, ruler etc.) And is it so close to Parsons! By the way every student have the right to 10% student discount.

This is one of the bigger Blick stores, so they generally have what you're looking for (without having to have it tranfered in from another location). Friendly and helpful staff. This is the one I go to the most, even though it's a little more out of the way for me.

Everything you need next door to Pratt. N.Y.U art students, this is literally down the block from housing. Everything you need at student discounts. Fairly priced and upbeat staff.

A store for serious artists. If you're trying to find your next hobby, this may not be the right place but if you have a passion of knowledge of an art you want to pursue such as sculpting, oil or acrylic painting etc., you'll find everything you need here for it!

Excellent and helpful, pleasant staff. Good selection of materials and the store is labeled so you can find what you need quickly. However, if you still cannot find what you need, staff will gladly assist you and talk to you about it and offer alternatives.

They say they match web price but in reality not really, and I mean their own web site. I'd be ok with different prices online and retail but don't make such claims every time you visit then. Other than that stuff is always great

Art materials here are pretty pricey but, the in-store employees are pretty helpful once asked.

They have most of the things I need but you can order online and pick up. Also if you're a blickmemeber they do web price match discounts.

Polite and knowledgeable
I found everything I needed and received help without asking for assistance. I was pionted in the right direction. No one was rude or impatient. I shopped for the item I was looking for and they had the item and the right price.

Very helpful staff. Huge selection of everything you need. I love the pricing. Right off of Union square.

Sold me a defective embroidery hoop--there's no nut to tighten it, so it's completely useless. People in New York are busy and don't have time to go back to retailers to exchange defective products. I am especially annoyed that the packaging covered up this detail.

Block offers price match and the manager did not want to honor it.
