I wanted to give them a better rating. I came to work for them in 2015 knowing nothing of the utility business. They trained me. Provided a vehicle. And opportunity to grow. Was happy doing the job and the freedom it provided. URG provided me the chance to gain a reputation in the field of utility locating. I was approached to come work for one of their clients. I was told by management that it was a great honor. But in the time I've left I've found out others in the company weren't doing the work load I was and getting paid a lot more than I. Also URG refuses to pay me $1000 in unused PTO that I earned (after 5 years it's 100% payout per the URG Handbook) and doesn't answer emails anymore. There is plenty of room to grow at URG but each step upward is less time with your family. URG is only useful as a stepping stone.

LIES LIES LIES!!!! All the way from the top to the bottom. OWNERS INCLUDED! My bf worked there and it was the most stressful job he's ever had. And actually he is still laid off from them. They haven't even contacted him or several other people to tell them if they have job or not. He wasn't notified about the lay off until the week of. Up until then they were told no lay offs. Hid advice..... use this company to gain experience in the field then MOVE ON!!

Good place to work if you have motivation, and are willing to put in the work to better yourself. There is a lot of potential for growth.

Came on to my property unannounced and argued with us when we asked who they were and what they were doing - tracing the gas line I think? Come and ask permission dude, don't get testy when I get annoyed that you're suddenly here messing with my meter.

No respect. Alway lying to you. Constantly degraded by my manager and boss did nothing about it. Tried to get me and 8 other people fired. Insult you at little mistakes. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU! Numbers are all that matters. 90% of management doesn't know what they are doing. DONT WORK HERE! Not worth the anxiety and depression. Save yourself and work somewhere else

This company has taken over staking for Consumer's Energy. Had a water break at my home Easter Morning. Water has to wait for staking by this company. Been well over 3 hours since this company was notified. Meanwhile on Easter Day families are without water because this company isn't prepared to do its job.

I love to talk so I will be brief. I will explain it this way.

My 4 years here at URG has been very exciting.

URG is growing and going places no one has gone before.

Urg lied about pretty much everything that mattered... Hey thanks for the layoff and never hearing from you again!... Was told we weren't even getting layed off!!! Didn't know untill a few days before!! My advice use them because they are using you!!!

One of the worst places to work for. All they do is lie and make promises they can t keep. Do not waste your time with these people.
