It's all in the name...dividing children from their families. The staff seem to be unaware that they are drunk on power, thus very addicted. If you find yourself there may God be with you.

Won't help with the real problems they just stringing you on can't trust them

By far one of the most unorganized state agency are family has ever worked with ,the case workers are very rude and unprofessional ,they are not about the child it's about getting everything wrapped up in a fast amount of time,I think they need to allow more time for transitions for the child .also they need to give care givers more time for the transition from one home to another also pay attention to the child emotional and mental well-being, more support to the care givers and foster familys.they also need to provide resources to familys who need them like drug treatment , housing ,jobs ect.some people are not education with finding resources and dcfs need to help individuals with resources so they can become more self-sufficient so they can have a higher chance of getting there children back, also DCFS should not allow any kind of verbal or mental abuse towards parties during family meetings .I feel the system is broken, there not for the child ,they definitely need to make improvements especially for being a state agency!!!!

The lack of communication is an absolute disgrace. Even during regular business hours!! If you can't answer your phone when a child is in the emergency room then you should find a new line of work. People's lives don't stop just because it's inconvenient for you.

My car was stolen, and this is where the thieves left it. It was a great location to find my stolen car. 10/10 would do it again just to visit DCFS!

Terrible organization. They care more about not getting sued by the defense than protecting children's well-being. Absolute proof father is abusing son and DCFS testified to continue allowing visitation. If this turns into another Susan Powell case and if anything happens to the children and/or mother, we are suing!! DO YOUR JOB!!! Protect the children and train caseworkers better than you have done so far!!!

This division and the juvenile court system operates with impunity. They re accountable to no one. DCFS receives federal subsidies for finalizing X-number of adoptions and without any means of checks and balances they become advocates for their own policies and is a tremendous conflict of interest. This creates an atmosphere of contradictions. Renunciation of a family can only occur after it has been broken. This break is facilitated by DCFS policies and procedures. This system is as broken as many other of our government idiocracies. This entire system is racially and economically bias. Something can only be fixed if it is broken and this division is in dire need of a complete overhaul!!

Not quality and caring individuals for family or the greater good.
