About USA Rice
USA Rice: The Global Advocate for the U.S. Rice Industry
USA Rice is a non-profit organization that serves as the voice of the U.S. rice industry, representing all segments of the industry from farmers to millers and exporters. With a mission to promote and protect the interests of rice farmers, millers, and allied businesses in the United States, USA Rice has been working tirelessly since its inception to ensure that American-grown rice remains competitive in both domestic and international markets.
The organization was founded in 1997 as an amalgamation of three separate entities: The USA Rice Council, The USA Rice Federation, and The USA Rice Producers' Group. Today, it is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia with regional offices across six states including Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi Missouri and Texas.
USA Rice's primary objective is to increase demand for U.S.-grown rice by promoting its nutritional value and versatility through various marketing campaigns aimed at consumers worldwide. This includes partnering with food bloggers and influencers on social media platforms like Instagram or Facebook to showcase recipes featuring American-grown rice.
In addition to promoting consumption domestically and internationally through marketing efforts such as advertising campaigns or trade shows participation; USA Rice also works closely with government agencies like USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) or FDA (Food & Drug Administration) on regulatory issues affecting growers' ability to produce high-quality crops while maintaining environmental sustainability standards.
One key area where USA Rice has made significant strides is in advocating for fair trade policies that benefit American farmers while ensuring access to foreign markets for their products. This includes lobbying Congress on issues related to trade agreements such as NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement), TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership), or WTO (World Trade Organization).
Another important aspect of USA Rice's work involves research into new technologies that can help improve crop yields while reducing environmental impact. For example; they have invested heavily in developing new varieties of rice seeds resistant against pests & diseases which can reduce reliance on pesticides & herbicides usage thus improving soil health over time.
Overall; it's clear that USA RICE plays a vital role not only within America but globally too by advocating for fair trade policies benefiting US growers while ensuring access abroad markets remain open so they can continue producing high-quality crops sustainably without compromising our environment's health long-term future generations' benefits!
