An amazing experience! Was so neat to kayak down the Chicago River. Some recommendations would be to check the weather in advance & try to book a tour on a sunny day, search Groupon for offers, and wear clothes you don't mind getting wet. The tour was about two hours long and our tour guide was very funny with some interesting stories. This is definitely an experience I'll never forget :)

We had such a great time! We did the Chicago history and architectural tour and it was a lot of great information. Our guide was funny and kind, and it was so awesome to see the city from the River. It was definitely a unique experience and one I would definitely do again.

Very lame! Got a twilight guided tour and ended up paddling on my own. You basically make a little loop on the water not seeing anything. If you go, rent a kayak and just forget the "tour". Complete waste of money!

Such a fun experience kayaking with Urban Kayaks on Lake Michigan! It is so much fun that they have a puppy paddle where you can bring your dog (my dog LOVED it!) and part of the proceeds go to a dog rescue. The kayak guide was great and it was a great way to spend the day outside in Chicago! Would definitely come back.

For the first time being to this beautiful city I cannot think of a better way to see it than this. Urban Kayak offers an amazingly unique way of getting to see the city. The firework show at the end was perfect. Would recommend this to anyone wanting that perfect ending to a great day. Will definitely be back to do it again!!!

Loved it! Second time coming with one of my daughters (ages 13 and 25). Really fun and educational. Great bonding while being outdoors and active. Truly get a new perspective on the city.

Amazing kayaking experience. The guide, Frank, was very knowledgeable about different kayaking techniques and showed us a few tips and tricks while out on the lake. I haven t been to the river location yet, but I m sure it s just as fun and laid back as the Monroe Harbor spot. Highly recommend Urban Kayaks. My husband and I bought the summer pass so I m sure we ll be there every chance we get!

Took a friend for the historic kayak tour. It was a lot of fun and the guides made sure we all stayed safe out on the river. If it's a blazing hot day, definitely bring a bottle of water. And to hear the tour guide, make sure you get close because it is loud out on the water and you don't want to miss any of the cool history they share.

Adam was the best tour guide! We did the sunset tour and had the most incredible time. This was my first time kayaking and I felt totally safe and comfortable the entire time. The sights were impeccable and it was such an amazing way to see the city.

I showed up at opening with my 10 year old son who has kayaked as a beginner for years, they set us up with vests and a kayak so quickly after we watched the safety video. The video is hilarious but very educational at the same time. I would recommend Urban Kayaks based on safety, the friendliness of the staff, organization of the business and how easy it so to do with kids.

The sunset tour was amazing! Such a great way to explore the city. Matt was an exceptional tour guide, I highly recommended urban kayaking to anyone looking for a different kind of adventure in Chicago!

Friendly staff and very helpful. The kayaks are in good condition and kayaking along the Chicago River is a highly enjoyable experience. Can do tours or rent to go on your own. I recommend doing the tour first.

It was a great experience and all the staff was friendly. We accidentally stayed out later than intended and it was past the time they told us to be back. We felt bad but they were very understanding and polite about it. I ll be a repeat customer!
