I had a lovely lunch here with my parents who were visiting from another country, beautiful views, food was good, wine was great and service in the restaurant area was really lovely. The only thing that really ruined our experience was when we went to buy a few bottles of wine in the shop, the lady serving quite rudely told us to move aside for the small tour bus that had just arrived and then began serving them. We left without the wine.

Friendly service at the cellar door, with beautiful range of delicious wines to taste. Taking home a box of great wine. We decided to have a coffee in the restaurant, this led to ordering a platter with some of the most delicious food. Highly recommend this place for quality wine and a beautiful setting to enjoy coffee or a delicious meal.

Booked a group tasting at Upper Reach Winery (around 18 people). Was told a few bottles would be provided for the group to share instead of the typical tasting, however had the impression that the group would be able to taste a few varieties in addition to the bottles provided. For 18 people and $10 pp, 4 bottles were provided, which is expensive compared to other wineries. Wine tasting for small groups would be nice, however for larger groups, this winery is not recommended.

Over the past year, Upper Reach has become a place and a time we always seem to be attracted to go celebrate special moments. We have never been left down. We always felt part of the experience, either attending a wine tasting class, sharing a glass of wine on the lawn, or a meal at the restaurant or discovering a new vintage. Laura, Derek, Indie (woof!) and their little team have made us welcome and allowed us to discover little gems of Western Australian wines.

Love Upper Reach. Surprisingly dog friendly for such a classy place, the restaurant has lovely views over the vines and a small lake, very pretty. In terms of food, the share platters for 2 are fantastic value and totally delicious. Easily substantial enough for a couple. Loads of people just had a coffee/wine and cheese/snacks it's a lovely place to spend the afternoon. Service was friendly and very supportive of the pup....local winery dog was a big golden friendly fellow. Nice options for strolls afterwards to work off the feast....highly recommended.

Lovely location and friendly staffs. My friends took the wine sampling before settled on a bottle of red. The counter staff was patience and guided my friends on the differences in their wines. Did not try their food as were still full from our big breakfast. Took a stroll to the river just right behind their vineyard, beautiful!

We had wine tasting yesterday and bought 6 bottles of reserve Shiraz which showed as 2015 on the menu. However, we found that it is 2016 when we went back to hotel. We called back the winery and they said 2015 was out of stock for couple of weeks and the one we tasted is actually 2016. The wine itself tasted good but it is better if the server told us this earlier instead of having us figured it out later on.

Great small family owned winery - delicious wines - a good range to taste and choose from (just had to take some home) - the resturant is a wonderful place to have a meal - the food is excellent and the view is wonderful - green, huge trees and so much bird life - a breath of real, fresh air. The resturant staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Indy was another highlight for us - she is adorable and the best meet and greet we could ever hope for. Will be back again very soon - may try out the cabin for a real slice of paradise and some more of that peace and fresh air. Thank you Upper Reach Winery - a great experience all round.

My wife and i visited yesterday what a lovely place even on a rainy wet day, 1st had lunch in the restaurant i loved the decor and open fire , the sharing platter is outstanding and massive we had to take some home, the lady who runs it is lovely and very attentive. letting us know about events that happen there in the summer months, after lunch we did some wine tastings, again the lady was lovely and very attentive, very knowledgeable on the different wines and more than generous with the tastings even on the most expensive wines, and to top it off was a FREO fan!! Tick there. We have tried a few different places in the valley over the past few months, this is by far one of the best, its small and friendly unlike the bigger wineries, which makes for a more personal touch. Bought a few bottles and joined the wine members club too which offers discounts on the wines and is free to join. We will be re-visiting again no question. Thank you for a lovely visit.

This winery is lovely. You can tell it is family run and operated. The wine is great value, and Laura was a great hostess. She spoke about the wine with passion but not it a pretentious way. We bought a case and I cannot wait to enjoy a bottle at home.

We visited Upper Reach winery in Early February for some wine tasting and enjoyed their wine so decided to take some home with us.The lady owner Laura who served us said if we bought 1 case of wine we would get 3 bottles free or if we bought 2 cases we would get 1 case free so we went for the 1 case free offer. After paying by card the invoice was emailed later in the day and after getting home we checked the invoice and was charged for 3 cases. We sent an email the next day asking for an explanation and after a week the email was not replied to so my wife called the winery and the gentleman who answered was told all this and he explained the bottles were discounted ,My wife asked him if he knew the difference between discount & Free" which we was sold the wine as FREE.He then apologised and agreed to refund us for the 1 case asking for our card details and saying he would refund us. Later on we received another email asking if we wanted a refund where we again said yes then we received 2 more emails from Laura trying to justify the costs of the bottles and discount. That was more than 2 weeks ago and no refund. Please beware when purchasing wine as they clearly don t know the difference between discount & FREE They should take a look at the way they operate their sales tactics. We felt cheated by the deal and further cheated by being told we would get a refund and this has not happened.

These guys are born winemakers. The selection is remarkable and the passion that Laura, Derek and Stephen have for the vineyard can be tasted in every drop. Plus, Indie the winery dog is the cherry on top of every visit. Definitely drop in for a chat and a glass of the best wines in the Swan Valley.

What a place. As soon as you walk in, the view is the first thing you see. A massive beautiful tree overlooking a vast field of vines. We sat down, and looked at the menu. The pricing looked a little much for just a lunch, but we bared through it. Once we got our meals, the opinion of proce changed. I had the Caribbean Chicken Hot Pot, and may I say, that dish was amazing. The flavours, and the finesse that go into this dish. Just great. And there was also I lot of food. Definitely worth the price. Will definitely come back, and will definitely recommend.

We had the pleasure of taking a winery tour of Upper Reach today, followed by a delicious lunch. Laura was fantastic and her passion is obvious. Both my wife and I learnt a great deal about the wines and the winery. Lunch was a delicious platter and dessert. The wines are great value and superb quality. The grounds are fantastic, and it is so good to have something so close to home. We will be back for sure.

Me along with some friends stumbled upon this winery yesterday and decided to go in as it looked nice from the outside. The female staff member was reluctant to let us taste any wine and gave us all very small measures in our glasses much like a teaspoon which was to small to even wet our mouths. She was quite rude and to be honest the prices they were asking for a bottle was astronomical compared with most well known wine manufacturers in WA. Definitely would not go back.

I love visiting Upper Reach Winery in the Swan Valley! Not only do they produce great wines but they have a stunning location and the customer service is always top notch. We have visited the cellar door numerous times for wine tastings alongside visiting the restaurant and attending many events held by Upper Reach. I'd highly recommend visiting this Swan Valley winery if you're in or around Perth :)

During my recent visit to the Swan Valley from the East Coast, my daughter took me to the Upper Reach for lunch. What a pleasurable experience! Excellent food, outstanding wine, and the service was first class. I would highly recommend a visit to this winery and suggest you try the 2010 Reserve Shiraz. I came home with one bottle on the plane, but will be ordering a case (if still in stock). In fact, a mixed dozen might be the go. You Westerners have a great deal of which to be proud.
