Not so very good experience with this place.. Do you know that when you put a preventative mask on at this hospital, they which is furnished by them you become a person of interest. I will never step foot in this place again. As of 02/19/2020 I once again returned to the ER. It is in total shambles.
Typically I would not give this hospital that many stars. However, I did have a throat procedure there yesterday and all the nurses, anesthesiologist as well as my doctor was fantastic! They all deserve 5-stars for yesterday's well-deserved job. The doctor was Dr. Lawrence Crist, a cardiothoracic surgeon and countless anesthesiologists as well as nurses in the pre-OP, OR and post-OP
I never leave reviews for anything.But I just had to this time. I used to rave about this hospital, but so much has gone downhill since my last visit, about a year ago. The nurses are still good, the nurses assistant s are non existent. You have to beg for ice water. Also with your meals you have to beg for any seasoning or condiments. The other night I couldn't breathe .I told the NA .She then stopped to talk with the patient in the next bed.When I said I needed the nurse she gave me a dirty look. I'll never come here again.
My girlfriend has been here for almost a week and she still has no answers all they do is say oh tomorrow or the next day
Went in for flu and irregular heart beat. They were great. Treated me with respect and made sure I was ok before I left. Food was not Ruth Chris, but it's better than I expected.
This is the absolute worst emergency room to ever go to and most unprofessional staff I have ever come across. I have spinal stenosis and came in with further injury and the dr literally accused me of wanting pain medicine when I already have it !!! Denied me of treatment and said have a good evening. What a joke !!!!! Don't use this hospital. This woman needs fired. Md Tracy Moore. Pathetic excuse of a so called "dr". I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place
Very professional, educated, compassionate and attentive staff. Can easily see why this hospital is ranked one of the best hospitals in the United States. Also easy and very affordable parking for guests and family visiting. Can absolutely recommend!

Just left the hospital after being an impatient for 3 days. The ER staff, cardiac Cath lab staff, doctors and nurses were great. Very professional and courteous. A special shoutout to staff on 9E cardiac monitoring unit. Very friendly, helpful, and caring. They bent over backwards to ensure my care, many thanks.
Been waiting here in the CDU with a family member for over 5 hours and seen a nurse exactly one time. I would never come to this hospital personally
Great staff and nurses at Emily Copeland s ENT s office, Very nice hospital and full of great people that do their best for you. Can t go wrong with the UPMC hospitals.....Your in good hands with UPMC.
I got here at 10 am with appendicitis they told me I don't need surgery for another 6 to 8 weeks but they are keeping me for a night or two. But I've been waiting in the emergency room for 10 hours, then waited at least a half hour for someone to help me to my room.
Compassionate employees. Usually receive very good service.
Would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely terrible care. Zero communication with family. Seems like employees can t be bothered to answer any questions. We came here from a small hospital and were shocked at how poor the customer service is here at a prestigious hospital. Never again.
The nurses here do not care about the patients. My mother was hospitalized for a week and none of the nurses would even bring her a glass of water when asked. A nurse started complaining that she does not get paid enough in front of my mother. Would rate this hospital a zero if I could.
I delivered my baby at Mercy in March 2016, and I had an amazing experience. The doctors and staff were fantastic and took great care of me and my baby. Staff was very attentive and helpful. I always say that I wish I could do the whole thing over again bcs of how wonderful the expierence was!!! Wish I could've done more than just say "thank you"'. I'll always recommend this hospital for expecting mothers, and deliver all my babies here!!

My cousin was a patient. He was in critcal stage with burns and in life threating . i just want to thank everyone that helped my cousin out in the time that he couldn't do anything by himself. Thank you for caring for him. Keeping us updated of everything that was happening to him.

Very unprofessional staff, attitudes are horrible they make you afraid to leave your loved one unattended, I feel bad for the patients who CANT speak up for them selves , I would rather suffer at home then to go here . Worst experience More

from ED to discharge the care was, horrible. should be ashamed of yourselves . letters with specifics to follow. i'd gobe the hospital a defecincy in all areas
The emergency department waiting area is filthy! Do they ever clean the waste baskets? I dont mean change the trash bags, I mean the containers themselfs. Too many homeless come into e.r. to sleep! Is this a mission or a hospitol??? If your not sick enough when you come here, you will be when you leave! Do something besides vaccume & mop. When was the last time the walls got scrubbed, and disinfected? Im not posting this to be mean, but it is a hospitol isnt it?
Nice hospital, there is a doctor for 24 hours in emergency ward. This is first time I was hospitalized in emergency. Doctors and other staff member took care of me. They treated me as a celebrity.Thank you guys to help me in mean time.
Mercy Hospital icu I can't say enough good about these people. They are absolutely fabulous!
Charged me $400 for one set of X-rays. No uninsured discount. Makes their financial assistance program impossible. UPMC and their non-profit status is laughable.
Horrible birthing experience, horrible medical treatment. Was brought in after being roofied & they did NO BLOOD WORK. Thanks to them, I cannot prosecute my attacker.
