I'm disappointed by the services and support provided by LCC. The acceptance rate of UAL seems strange to me because I believe there are more students than UAL can provide services for. There were over 100 students in my class compared to a class of 30 on a painting course at Camberwell. 100 LCC students (over 3 year groups) had to share one studio space, meanwhile Camberwell students had their own dedicated spaces in their studio. During the lockdown the tutor contact period was ridiculous- 5 minutes of 1 to 1 tutor time per week for a third year student was all we had. Not to mention the fact that we didn't have access to the university itself. If you go to LCC, don't be surprised if you find yourself doing your whole degree alone. I'm only writing a review because my course friends are too jaded by the situation to do so

Some style, some substance... not a lot of both.

Some style, some substance... not a lot of both.
A lot of people attend here and come out very disillusioned by both higher education and the fashion industry. Sadly teaching on fashion managment courses is inconsistent; some is very good and makes you think you made the right choice, many are poor and the lack of strong consistent teaching can affect not only standard of education (not a course you can fully self-teach through literature) but severely impact student satisfaction. Believe the low student satisfaction ratings! Staff are also very political and it is clear to students that many actions are only for strategic gain.

On the upside it is a creative environment based in a wonderful city

Took their make up short course in summer. The university's management is poor and staff are not well trained and under qualified. Good teachers are few and don't stay long. Do not recommend if you are looking for a good quality of teaching. Some of their instructors are high school dropouts or graduates who have done/assisted in art work for few years then come here to teach. You may have ill mannered "professionals" teaching you. Very low standard recruitment of instructors. Tuition is very high.
