University of detroit mercy Review

It's a decent campus with nice people. It's a small private college so don't expect to be in awe but it's nice to be.

Had a great experience here for Engineering undergrad and am excited to start grad school in the fall here too! 4 stars because it would always be nice to get more variety of professors and like any school, there are room for improvements. I do think the cost of attendance is very high, however, it's recognized as a great school for it's many programs and success rates for post-graduate employment!

The University of Detroit Mercy is an excellent university for your college education. The academics are top notch. I and two other family members graduated from three of their schools, Architecture, Engineering, and Liberal Arts. Each of us was well prepared for our careers.

Requiring a covid vaccine or mandating tests is wrong, especially for those who have already been infected and have natural immunity.

This campus is phenomenal! The professors are very proactive in their teaching/ learning approach. Classes have moved mostly online so there is a great deal of technological navigation, but the school makes it as accessible as possible within the time of covid. It's only my first week and I've had nothing but positive experiences this far

Security doesn t enforce mask wearing...
They approached me, as I stood outside, for a long period the Dental area, and I m 100% happy with that.

But the reasons I was standing outside, was because the woman at the front desk kept griping about her kids, MASK OFF so her co workers could here her.

That wasn t the worst part....
As I stood in the hallway, I witnessed a hand full of individuals who were doing the chinstrap thing.
- including a woman who was literally face to face with Security asking where the men s bathroom was!

Doubt me? Check Security cameras at 11:15 on January 12 would prove me right (that s when I bailed back to the car, I didn t want any part of it... )

This is a tough review for me, they approached me, for being in one place for a long time...
But we re dismissive of anyone who passed BY ME, not wearing a mask, obviously not enforced by DCM/UDM

Absolutely terrible university. Made up of leftover unwanted professors. Completely lacking in any character whatsoever. Very liberal in ideology and will look down on you if you contrast in any way (hmmm sounds like a bit of a contradiction). Through my attendance I can name only two professors worth anything here (both in engineering). Department Dean is intolerable. Unless you are on welfare, come from a poor family, or of an ethnic decent other than "white", they are completely unwilling to work with you in any regard. Bottom line..... complete and entire waste of time and money.
