These guys go above and beyond. The girls like to go during summer for their free lunch because they really love the staff. When we have money to go eat someplace else they fight to eat here instead of someplace else.

They do have good staff and there servises are so great,even to children

Staff not always charming. If you in need of pantry food or the restyle used clothing and need some slightly used jeans or dresses its great . as for the eat in experience it can vary . sometimes clients fight . police come. Then u get food to go. As the ones who fight inside ruin it for others. And if u judge people for cleanliness or being homeless. Then this is not a place for you. Judgement free zone. Ok. People are not all so lucky as others. Unity house helps people in need. They are great at doing so. As the above experiences i mentioned earlier are as a result of clients who dont follow the rules. And staff get a little on edge to gaurd against repeated offences. U will be prosecuted by law if u decide to go here to be negative or start fights. I go here at times and am thankful for them helping . amen

Unity House has impacted so many lives in a positive manner. Their programs have changed people's mindsets about their how people treat them and how to advocate for themselves. The diversity of programs is tremendous and is a continuing asset to our community.

They helped me and my children a lot and thanks to them and their social workers today I have my home

Great place for women with children and single women.

The lunch is good. Great food. But the staff can be very inconsiderate, insensitive and triggering. I honestly think they should have sensitivity training especially if they're feeding the community. There are people that may have mental disabilities.

They had a wonderful thrift shop befor the prices went up. It is now the price of goodwill. This store is to help poor find clothing and it has been doing the opposite with its prices. Now you have a better chance at Wal-Mart or TJmax. They have now changed it to everything a dollar except shoes dresses and jackets. Now I give the shop a 1 star now a 5 star. Also, Unity house, offer various help. From food to psychology. Your children can work part time also. Give free books to all genras my kids got thier music books here and found a book i needed for my college and hamlet which i also needed, so thank the donators for helping me pass another semester. They have a good pantry and soup kitchen. Last but not least a boxing class for youth to adult at night. If your stressed do not know where to turn and your a troy resident, go on down. If they can not find a way they will have referrals. You will not be disappointed. Very kind staff. ALSO THERE IS A BOXING SCHOOL MONDAYS, THURSDAY'S AND SOME FRIDAYS FOR CHILDREN 7- ADULT. IT IS FREE OF COST AND STARTS AT 5PM-6:45. But if you can give donations it would be nice because they love to take the kids on trips and this is coming out thier pockets to rent the space. THEY BRING THE CHILDREN TO FIELD TRIPS SOME TIMES, WATCH MOVIES AND GET YOUR CHILDREN ENVOLVED. ALTHOUGH THE LADY WHO IS IDK IS VERY RUDE TO THE CHILDREN (KEVIN NIECE), SHE SHOULD NOT BE APART OF IT, ESPECIALLY THAT IT IS AGAINST BULLYING. SHE TOLD A STUDENT TO SHUT UP! SHE IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL I PERSONALLY FEEL IF YOUR GOING TO HAVE THE KIDS DO EXERCISES THEN YOU SHOULD BE FIT TO DO THEM WITH THEM. SHE LIKES TO DEMAND ORDERS AND NOT SHOW A EXAMPLE. IF YOUR GOING TO teach CHILDREN YOU MUST BE AND SHOW AS A EXAMPLE FROM SELF. BUT, KEVIN AND THE 2 RETIRED PROFESSIONAL BOXERS ARE GREAT WITH ALL CHILDREN, EVEN MY AUTISIC SON, DAUGHTER AND INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY SON. THEY ARE CALLED THE "SPEAK PROGRAM" AND IS A ORGANIZATION AGAINST BULLYING. THEY GIVE A OUTLET AND RAISE SELF ESTEEM AND MAKE A FAMILY WHITHEN THIER BOXING CLASSMATES. I SUGGEST COME CHECK IT OUT. DESPITE THE LADY IT IS A GREAT PROGRAM. I tried putting my kids in to try it out with the lady again and I will not return until she is gone. She sits and demand kids to do this do that and she has not once even do excersise she demand of them. If they do not do it or complain, she brings them out the room and I don't know what she tells them. They need a more qualified person for her position who is not a adult bully and may also join in the excersise with the children. So basically they go from bullies at school or home and go to a bigger bully who teaches bullying but bullies little kids. I would just tell both Kevin's you want you child(ren) there but not the niece.

Great place they offer so much help to all not just selectively picking people like R.C.D.S.S. THEY ARE A JOKE. HELP THOSE WHO DONT WANT TO WORK OR DRUG DEALERS ADDICTS ETC. NOT PEOPLE WHO WANT THE HELP AND ARE HELPING THEIR SELVES. SHAME ON THE COUNTY SERVICES AT R.C.D.S.S

I love going to their little thrift shop and buying clothes I think I bought more clothes from that Thrift Shop than I have it any other place and the staff are very friendly except this one skinny white female she was very rude to me and I wanted to slap her but I didn't because I know better the Unity House help me get food I need it food so they got me some emergency help they got me on food stamps and I'm also looking into more programs to help me get out of the hotel that I'm in that I'm actually paying to stay in no one else is DSS is not it's just me paying to say

If I had known that their shelter services would only be so i had a place to live and not to help me get on my feet, I would've stayed with my abuser. I'm grateful for the Angel's in the community that helped me more than these shelter programs.

They help ppl who need help better than DSS and the ppl thT work there are the best

They do a lot for the community, there's no denying that, but 90% of the housing counselors think they're better than everyone else. They look at you like you're beneath them. I've never needed their services, but for those who do, it is what it is.

They have been assisting the under served for some time. Wonderful organization with a heart!

Oh yeah Unity house itself does many great things in the community I dont deny that. However if your neighbor has a caseworker with them and theres an issue the caseworkers are useless! They dont do a damn thing. I guess when my family gets hurt due to the caseworkers negligence we'll see ya in court.

What an amazing place! Free housing, food, and medical clinic! What don t they have?! Lol

The many different types of services offered here are a great help to many. Their staff are always friendly and helpful. If only it was an easier to get to location - make sure to NEVER park in the parking lot across the street from the front of their building. They have a small lot in the rear.

Love this place. So helpful and loved the second hand store..

This place is ok if you need anything other than housing and rental assistance. The people are nice and they will refer you to other places. But if you're homeless, getting evicted, or need any other housing and living assistance they will gas you up and not help you. Basically if DSS wont help you, no one will.

Restyle is a second hand clothing store not reopen yet but can't wait 1$ can buy you 50$ pair jeans new with tags just have to look.

An excellent not for profit making a difference in Troy.

They are supposed to be a charitable organizations that help people but like so many other charitable organizations, they just help themselves. And moreover waste your time.
