Wonderful agency helping other agencies in their mission.

I could never thank these people enough. I was out of work and wasnt able to give my kids the christmas i wanted to give them. On christmas day i recieved a voucher to buy my kids toys. You can't tell me that my god isnt good. When i felt like there was no way he made a way. Thanks again united way

Since getting out of college back in the early 90s, I have worked for Non-for-Profit agencies that received funds from the United Way. My Head Start provider was one of the first agencies to offer the ASSET program. My counterparts and I were required to take the program before offering it to our families. At the time my finances were a mess: high debt, no saving, no emergency fund, and I would take out payday loans to get by. I have had a couple of unexpected emergencies the last two month. If the pandemic was not enough, a tree fell on my car and caused several thousand dollars in damages. My furnace went out and I spent several hundred to repair it. Taxes for my house and car are also due a the end of the month. I am thankful that I am able to meet all of those needs because of what I learned from the ASSET program (high debt annihilation 2021). I see what the United Way programs do for my community on a regular basis. I was impressed to share what it has done for me.

Basically they're here for show and to steal money from the community. They have never actually referred me to any community resources at all. All I get is a fake "I'm sorry" and " Have a good day"

If I could give them no star I would Im tired getting a run around when I call them Idk if they are same but I dont get no answers from them about shelters Im tired of them saying call the housing hotline.......THEN WHAT ARE YOU HERE FOR
