With over 180,000 members and more than $3 billion in assets, UFCU is one of the largest credit unions in the United States. Our History
Founded in 1949 by a group of employees from Whirlpool Corporation in Benton Harbor Michigan as Whirlpool Employees Federal Credit Union (WEFCU), United Federal Credit Union has grown significantly over the years through mergers with other credit unions across the country.
In 2002 WEFCU changed its name to United FCU after merging with St Joseph Valley Community FCU based out of South Bend Indiana. In 2014 they merged with Griffith Savings Bank which allowed them to expand into Arkansas where they now have several branches.
Today UFCU serves communities across six states: Arkansas, Indiana Michigan Nevada North Carolina Ohio.
