The tech showed up on time. Completed the work to my satisfaction.

The service technician from United Air Temp was polite, cheerful, pleasant, punctual (a few minutes early) and most importantly competent. He performed the winter service check and reported no problems found. We reviewed the HVAC, humidifier and H2O heater status. He was able to answer all of my questions and we opted to continue our annual coverage for another year. We have used United Air Temp for many years and have come to expect and receive high quality service.

We have been customers of United Air Temp for over 15 years. We've purchased furnace and AC systems from them and have been very satisfied. They use quality American manufacturers. Their prices are very reasonable. Installation is fast and efficient. Routine maintenance is very good too. Highly recommend!

Mostly happy with the service to my HVAC from United Air Temp. They kept me waiting for my appointment but when the tech finally did show up, they pinpointed the issue I was having and got my system working again without going in to a big sales pitch for a new system.

I had a call two weeks ago 5/29/2020 in Accokeek Maryland and found out my coil had an whole. Chris was in the process of fixing it when it exploded. He told me this has never happen before and he put a rush order on it and that it will cost $980.00 for freon. The expectation was for it to be here within the next week. Well when I call the next business week they said it was on order. When I called again and spoke with the manager Dillian who I left several messages I was told it was just put on order because Chris didn't have authorization to order it. So meanwhile my wife and I who have sleep apena were sleeping on the couch. I waited for the following week and Dillian sent someone out with the coil tonight at 6:30 only to find out that Chris took the drip pan so there was no way to fix it tonight. They are booked tomorrow but an order was put in for the drip pan. I was told the original manager was a guy named Mike and was given his number. I called him and left a message about what I said earlier. He hasn't returned my call as though it's not his problem. I know this company hasn't been in business 89 years for this type of service. When I asked to speak to someone in authority I am told there is no one. UNSAT!

I've been eith Unitrd Air Temp, on contrsct, for about 3 or 4 years now. After my last service call i realized how much United Air Temp has changed and grown. It started with scheduling to arrival. United Air Temp were so efficent and proactive; I'm a complainer, but, the growth in United Air Temp left me no room for complaints. I just sat down and let the professionals do their jobs: From customer service over the phone, scheduling and the arrival and performance of the Tech., very professional, consumer friendly....job well done

Horrible company to work with. They installed an HVAC system a few years ago and forgot to connect flood sensors. The system backed up and overflowed through my living room and when they realized it was their error, they didn t pay for the damaged ceiling.

Now they are saying my heat pump is broken and want $1680 for R-22 gas to be refilled. I don t want the 407-C gas as it s less efficient and causes more electricity to be used and my other two systems already use R-22 gas.

Additionally, they won t allow me to make monthly payments and now I m out of heat for the winter. Watch out, they will ensure you re helpless during a time of need.

Update: they ask me to call (see below) and then when I do, they transfer me to voicemail. A perfect example of no concern for their customers. Buyer beware!!

United Air Temp came to my home to perform an AC check-up. The technician Kenneth Duhaney was very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. He did an excellent job! I would definitely recommend him and also request him for my future AC projects.

The Service Representative was very informative and clear about the cooling and heating equipment and water heater. The different purchasing options were also well explained.

BOTH MEN HAD TO BE TOLD TO PUT ON FACE MASK. ONE KEPT IT ON BUT THE OTHER DID NOT! IN LIGHT OF COVID-19 IT IS DANGEROUS DUE MY AGE AND HEALTH CONDITIONS...

Quick service, reliable workmanship, and overall very please with the effort and quality of their work. My air conditioner condensation drainage was blocked, they were up in my attic for nearly 2 hours clearing all the lines and adding a new water sensor. I would highly recommend their company for your HVAC needs.

Juan was so helpful and willing to explain everything to me. He worked late to finish the job. My home warranty company was the worst, but Juan was really helpful in getting my plumbing fixed.

The technician was very knowledgeable, resolved the issue in a timely manner. They were also very quick to give us an appointment to come resolve the issue.

Somehow birds got into my heating system and died. The tech removed the birds. What I do not like is that he didn't clean up and he lied. When asked if he was leaving with the birds he said yes. In fact he left the birds in my basement. For $350.00 you better have taken the birds with you.

Our issue was resolved the same day. Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable.

Will definitely use them again.

My former home warranty company assigned United Air to repair my furnace. The technicians were punctual and polite but, they lacked the skills necessary to perform the repairs. Each time they were out, a new technician would come and I would need to re-explain what was going on. The final time was recently when their previous repair begun to make a squealing noise. The new technician came out, observed the loud noise, disassembled the unit, put it back together and it continued to make the same noise. He was on the phone with his manager and they wanted to slow the fan speed. The fan speed was the same speed it had been for as long as I lived in the home. This was not the issue. Then, he told me that the unit was "just old" and nothing could be done. All of this was unacceptable and it was obvious that they did not know how to or want to correct the issue. The manager did offer to replace the blower again but, I decided against allowing them to further work on my unit. Since then, I've had a more qualified company come out and inspect and diagnose the issue. I cancelled my contract with American Home Shield. The quality of their vendors (including United Air) has drastically gone down hill over the years. I would not recommend using United Air or any company that AHS sends to you.

Spend more energy trying to sell you a warranty service then actually fixing the problem. Even after saying no multiple times they continued to persist. They actually bribed me with a temporary fix to the AC in return to sign up for their services. Took 4 days to fix the AC.

Walter was courteous and not bothered by the late hour, he worked very hard and did a great job and got our AC running again, We truly appreciate the great service we received .

If you look up the word quality or professional or responsive in the dictionary you will see a picture of a United Air Temp technician, as that is the fastest and most accurate means to paint the meaning of those words. They don't TALK, -- they DO what they say they will do. Integrity, great service with EXCELLENCE in all they do!

United Air Temp made a couple of visits before honing in on the problem. They kept me apprised of their assessments and placed a rush on the parts that needed replacement. The tech was very professional and did an outstanding job in completing the repair. I ve been with United Air Temp for quite a few years and will continue to use them without hesitation fir my HVAC needs.

There is no doubt that the technician knew what he was done and I feel like I got good quality service. However, I had the technician come out because I currently have a contract affording me a free furnace and ac check. However, my free visit turned into a $300 bill. I felt like I was at a car repair shop in for an oil change and all of a sudden the $50 oil change ballooned to a much higher bill. I felt like the goal was to just get in my home and then sell me as many things as they could (i.e. you know you should replace this water heater, you know you should clean your dryer vent, you know you should sign up for another contract so you can get this service twice a year, you know that when you had your furnace and ac replaced they did not get everything up to code and we can do that, etc.). It made me feel a little yucky at the end as I felt like I was being taken advantage of, but understand that maybe these are things that need to be done. I am trusting the expert, but like car mechanics, I feel like I am not always being treated fairly. I would do business with them again though.

Mr Awan the plumbing manager came to my house 2 hours late. He told me that I needed a new hot water tank however he said the warranty company won t spend the money to address it. He said if it leaks again call him again. My hot water tank has various problem he changed one part but didn t address the main issue of the tank rusting out. He was rude! He never left me a receipt of his work he perform, he at first didn t even want to give me his business card.

Good and quick service as usual, but charged me more than once on different credit cards...did get it resolved later...

Our experience was less than satisfactory. The representative spent most of the time in the truck with his boss. If constant consultation with someone else is requires they sent the wrong person. The final verdict of ripping out my entire kitchen as the only way to find a pipe leak was nonsense. We got a second, more rational, opinion fairly quickly that did not include months and tens of thousands of dollars in construction costs.

Received tech Jean Luc on a call out via my home warranty paid for by the sellers last year, for my 15 hear old HVAC system. He diagnosed all the components and explained thoroughly my options. I chose not to fix because it is too old a system but I felt totally comfortable with my decision because of his expert diagnosis and willingness to explain it all at my level. Very professional.

Great service quickly diagnosed the issue and repaired it, would definitely recommend!

And after all that, they sent a response to call the same 1800 number to speak to the manager.

Don't be fooled.. there is no Manager, it goes back to customer service and some Brad person's Voice Message, where you leave a message that no one ever bothers to respond.

Learn from my story... do not trust the services of Unite Air Temp VA. they are out to fleece you. Lousy customer service and even worse trust worthy.

If i could give a review of -5 i would do it. These guys are so clueless, its strange they are still open for business.
We were provided them by American home shield, United air temp came looked at our attic fan and said it was broken, and that was not covered by AHS, charged us a $680 to fix it... they came back, on the day they scheduled. the guy said the roof was too high up, he needs another person to help him. another schedule. he came with another person 10 days later after we called to ask him to schedule.. then they came and said the roof was too steep and they cant fix it... and now for the last 2 months i've been asking them to process a refund and they are totally unresponsive. I hope i could get some consumer board to ask a few questions on quality and service.

I have worked with United Air Temp for a few years and they are always courteous and professional. They are true craftsmen in their fields. The most recent service was for repairs to my toilet. The technician Jordan Murphy responded and did a great job! He arrived on time, assessed the situation, and quickly repaired the issues. He explained all that he needed to do before proceeding and took the time to educate me on the system components he needed to remove and replace. Excellent job - highly recommend United Air Temp!

The technician who came to my home was wonderful! I had an 'on-call' appointment from 9a - Midnight yesterday. Not knowing what to expect, I thought they will not get to me until around dinner or later, its busy season for them. They called me at 12:30p and said they would arrive at 1p, they were right on time. Almost 2 hours later, they had replaced the AC Motor, fixed a few things and checked the cooling line. The technician was wonderful, wore shoe covers and was very professional and polite. Would definitely use them again, if I needed anything! THANK YOU!

Very prompt and accommodating. My appointment was set for a Thursday and I immediately got a call that a cancellation occurred and they could fit me in a day earlier. They arrived on time and provided several recommendations before repairs.

Do not use this company! Constant service calls for our brand new AC system that they installed. We are always waiting and waiting for services, parts, and there seems to always be a different issue with our Brand new $8,000 unit. I m tired of getting the runaround with this company. We just had another issue that required an ordered part, but we were told that they could temporarily patch the unit until the part comes in. We were told that we would be able to run our system for about a week, so no worries. Well, surprise..... they now tell me that they can t do anything until Monday. It s Thanksgiving and most stores are closed to even go try to buy a portable unit. So, here we are on Thanksgiving day with no AC, family soon to arrive, and it s going to be miserable.

Over the 25+ years I've used United Air Temp for my HVAC and plumbing services, I have been completely satisfied with their technical expertise, availability, quality of work, and customer relations. I trust them! On the infrequent occasions when I've had a concern, it's always been promptly resolved.

I was very pleased and satisfied with my recent United Air Temp service. Zach was punctual, professional, very thorough in performing the services and explaining what he did. He quickly got my A/C running and stayed to check and clean the system as well as the dust vent. He's very friendly and considerate, and I look forward to receiving services from him in the future.

The Technican (Mike) who serviced my Resident was: Professional, Knowledgeable, Friendly and talked with me about his services performed. He was very engaging and took extreme pride that I asked questions. I have over 39 years providing Customer Service and Mike should be commended and is overall delivery of services should be used for training purposes.

Really, I would rate my experience a 2.5. The service work was fine. But the technician was WAY too pushy trying to get me to buy a new furnace, AC unit, refrigerant, filter, and everything else that could be sold to me. It was really aggressive and aggravating. I agreed to allow for an appt for a free estimate. An appt was set up and nobody ever showed and I didn t get a phone call.

I will say that I had used UAT some years ago and had a pleasant experience. This time not so much and for more reasons than stated in this review.

United Air Temp has been my heating and air conditioning service provider since I purchased my home in the mid-1990's. They provide dependable, reliable service. On a recent visit for my annual plumbing service, there were several drains that required serious snaking. My technician Samer did an excellent job clearing my pipes so the water drained freely. He took his time and he cleaned up the bathroom areas that became soiled as he removed the guck from my clogged drains. I also appreciated the service and advice provided by my HVAC technician Sean when he performed my annual maintenance servicing and plumbing check. This level of service makes me appreciate the value of my annual maintenance plumbing and HVAC maintenance contracts.

Not very happy with the replacement of our garbage disposal. The technician informed me that he had a unit that costs $300 and it was a very good unit. He then informed me he could let me have it for $125. I asked him to proceed and after looking up the price of the one he put in, discovered it was only $85. I should have purchased my own garbage disposal and had it installed.

The representative was very professional in his work as well as how he spoke and presented himself. He was on time and worked until he resolved the problem.

United Air temp has left our family, including a young child, without air conditioning for over two weeks with no resolution date in site. In this day and age, no one can tell us when the parts will arrive and subsequently when, our air conditioning will ever be repaired. Furthermore, one of the parts we are waiting for is the blower fan, which means we also have a nonworking heating system. We are completely disappointed and upset with United Air Temp, a company that has apparently chosen to provide us with a low level of service. We would never recommend United Air Temp to anyone after this experience.

I was very pleased with my service. Francisco was on time, was very pleasant and courteous and was efficient in checking out the furnace and air conditioner. He also mentioned additional equipment or service options but didn t push me to do them at this time.

They came my house through American home shield for kitchen sink drain & bathroom faucet .came several times but technician was very unprofessional even he don t know how to use snake didn t fix drain also faucet don t have proper tool for that faucet need special tool and they saying missing apart actually missing nothing don t have tool so both issues still there waste two weeks .suggest never use them unprofessional.

Was very comfortable with United. As expected they were efficient & very courteous. My second major home equipment purchase from United. Will continue to work with United for all my home equipment needs. These guys never stopped moving, yet found time to discuss the install & operation of this new equipment as well as light social commentary. very nice.

Dennis Fuentes called me at home to let me know he would arrive in 20 minutes--which was very thoughtful, since I didn't know exactly when the service of our A/C would take place within the 12;30 to 3:30 pm window.

Dennis arrived exactly 20 minutes later, as he had indicated on the phone.
He removed the blower assembly and other parts and cleaned them (and sanitized ) He also cleaned the interior compartment and inspected the fan motor , blades and wiring, etc.
After re-assembly, he checked out the entire system for proper operation

Dennis worked efficiently and confidently and explained to me various things he had cleaned and checked. He was very courteous and clear in his explanations and I felt he was a very skilled and competent technician. -Jeffrey Binckes

They were dispatched using my hone warranty. I had plumbing issues in my new home. Thank God they sent Antoine out to service all of it- he was stellar!! Courteous, professional and timely- he explained everything to me as he went along and didn t mind my dog ! Everything works GREAT now- I highly recommend this company and Antoine!

Came home from Valentine's Day vacay to find my 6 month old American Standard 5 ton heat pump was not working. Facing a long weekend without AC, I called United Air Temp on a Saturday to report the problem and within a couple of hours, Daniel, an outstanding technician, got right to the source of the problem - a defective Refrigerant Low Level switch, and had it fixed within 20 minutes. Daniel didn't leave until he was 100% sure the problem was fixed, and is my hero. United Air Temp really stands behind their warranty, even on short notice on weekends.

They did not have a ladder to get to my attic where the AC fan is. They wanted me to supply them with the tools to do their job. The tech was very friendly, but I don't trust a company that doesn't bring their own tools to a job.

The service was fast and thorough; the technician was outstanding. Had my air conditioning back to full power same day. Thank you!

Tech came over found unit has leak, didn't even attempt to find temp solution to problem, just said unit was old and refrigerant is r 22 feron which is very expensive. tried to sell me new unit for 8600. No help at all.

My technician, Tyler, arrived 5 minutes EARLY for his appointed time. He was friendly, professional, informative and respectful. He was efficient and cleaned up after himself. He had to replace two leaking shut off valves in complicated, tight spaces. his work was great. I have never been impressed with plumbing services before. I will use these guys again.

UAT provided exemplary service when my AC/Heat recently failed. Within an hour, a service technician was onsite, on a saturday!. He promptly identified the issue, and had a repair performed quickly.
I'm thoroughly impressed with the speed and quality of response by UAT and would highly recommend them to any in a similar circumstance

United Air Temp is a reliable, courteous and thorough company who has serviced my heating, air conditioning and plumbing needs for many years. They notify me in advance of regular servicing needs, professionally and efficiently identify system problems and always follow through in a timely and helpful manner. Their employees are dedicated and experienced. My contracts with them give me peace of mind and I intend to annually renew them in future years.

The service was efficient and professional. I would only ask that next time the scheduled appointment time be honored as the technician arrived 1-1/2 hours early (2pm instead of between 3:30-5:30pm), when I was still working.

I was please with the service provided by UAT. I thought 3 stars was appropriate because there was nothing wrong with my stove, just a button was pushed that inadvertently turned off the burned.
I'd also like to mention that the technician did wear PPE without me having to ask...I've had problems with other technicians who came to my home that needed to be asked.

Unite Air Temp was great! They showed up same day, diagnosed and fixed my problem so we could have our heat back on. Tough staying in a house at 58 degrees! They got me up and running in no time.

Zero stars if I could. Our work was done out of the Chantilly office. The AC unit has stopped working three times this summer - all because of low freon. Last repair was in May and now it's July - low again. They were supposed to have fixed everything the last time. Not so much. The tech arrived and my son (adult) was there to meet him. I had given my son the Landlord's number for the tech to call for payment. The tech said he doesn't get in the middle of tenant/landlord disputes and refused to call. There was no dispute - the Landlord wanted to pay for it directly. Instead I had to waste my time talking to the guy on the phone to assure him if he would JUST CALL HER he would get paid. Apparently after I hung up with him he told my son all sorts of pleasant things about me and threatened to do damage to the AC unit so that we'd have to pay for more repairs. The other techs never had a problem with this setup - they always called the landlord and were paid right then. I called to complain to the tech's supervisor who was less than receptive to my complaint and assured me that the tech would never say anything disrespectful or rude. Much like parents who say, "My little Susie would never bully your kid." I'll be escalating this issue up the corporate ladder.

Cecil was the person who provided the service to my furnace. He was polite and presented himself well. I asked what happened to the gentleman who provided my contract service in previous years. Cecil did not know but explained that he was new to the job. I cannot judge how well he did the job, but usually previous service providers gave me a written explanation of what they did on a multi-copy form that I sign and I get a copy. This did not occur on this visit. I like getting a copy of the work that was done to have as a record in case any problems should occur with the furnace during the cold season. I recommend that you resume your previous practice. Cecil asked if I would renew my maintenance contract for my furnace and air conditioner. The cost of the contract is $249.00. As a fully retired senior citizen now, that is an expensive contract. I have your customer for many years as my records should show and I would like to continue, but I will need to find out if I can find a similar contract for less that will fit my budget better. Do you offer a discount for retired senior citizens?

I was able to get a good time scheduled rather than wait on a long window . The technician called prior to coming , and he arrived earlier than scheduled and I let him know the issues with my system. I showed him to the thermostat and let him know where my heat pump and access was located. He set the temp and got to work while I got some cleaning done. In about 30 minutes he notified me that he was done and he had to change out a compacitor. System was humming all through the night. Fast and professional service. Good technician!

Your technicians are excellent. I would have given you five stars, however, there was a hiccup with the special filter. Overall, I am extremely pleased with United Air Temp.

RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, INEXPERIENCED, AND CROOKS !!!!

I have a service contract with United Air Temperature. They came to service my heat & A/C unit last year for the yearly maintenance. When they were at my house they told me that I need a new unit because I have a gas leak and it was going to cost me around $6,000.00. I was VERY SHOCKED!!! With the overwhelming news, I called two other companies for a second opinion along with Washington Gas. All three companies said there was nothing wrong with my unit.
When United Air Temperature came to my house this year for the yearly maintenance, they said I have a crack and the unit needs to be replaced. The technician told me it was going to cost $1,675.00 for the unit plus the service contract about $244.95 and $156.00 for the permit, however, the technician told its better to talk to his manager David and he is on his way to my house. When the manager arrived he told me the same thing that it was going to cost me around $6,000.00. When I told him I was going to get a second opinion that is when he became rude, loud, and started harassing me. He said he was going to call the county on me and shut my business down. I asked him to leave my home while he was still continuing to harass me and threaten me and my business in my own home.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!! THEY ARE CROOKS !!!
