I ve volunteered here and the staff is quite nice. I cannot speak on long term experiences, or experiences as a person in the program, but from what I ve seen it is a pretty pleasant environment and it feels like the overall goal is to help the community. I have noticed that the facility seems to be Christian centric(which is fine) and the website description as to who it helps is pretty gendered. With that said, I have some questions for the president/admin that is replying to these reviews. Would you accept a person into the program who is in need, but also openly non-religious, and accept them even if they made it clear there was no changing their mind? If it was mealtime, and that person didn t feel comfortable praying, would you still serve them food? If a person was non-binary, would you still allow them into your program and consider their identity valid? Since volunteering, I ve been curious as to the team s response to these hypothetical scenarios, and would love to hear how y all would handle them. Thank you.
