Easy to make an appointment. Took time making sure glasses fit and lens were correct before we left. Dr Alice took especially good care of my husband who has Parkinson s and Dementia and has a hard time getting his thoughts across. Will definitely come back to her for any vision problems.
Dr. Unger, Tina, and his staff have been amazing. After years of being told that my son was just not focusing and doing as well in school because he was a boy turned out to be so much more. Thanks to all of your assistance and listening when this momma needed answers! Not only is he reading at grade level but he now asks for books and is starting to enjoy what was once quite a chore for him....Much appreciated...

I have been a patient at Unger Eye Care for years, and I completely trust them with all of my eye care needs. Dr. Tom is my doctor, and he is thorough and patient. Here s one example: Recently, I got new lenses for working on the computer. I have specific distance needs based on my current workspace set up and the type of work I do, which is not a typical laptop distance. I should have communicated this up front, but I simply didn t think about it during the appointment. The new lenses did not work for me, and after explaining the issues I was experiencing, Dr. Tom asked me more questions, spent extra time with me, and had the lenses remade at no extra charge. The new lenses are perfect! This is just one example of the kind of care and commitment you can expect to receive at Unger Eye Care.
I've been seeing Dr Tom since I was a teenager. (A long time ago!) He is the most caring, compassionate doctor I have ever seen. The staff are friendly and kind. I have multiple chronic conditions that involve my eyes, and I am so grateful to have such a capable and caring doctor overseeing my eye health. I count my vision as my most essential sense - everything I love to do involves sight - and I feel that Dr Tom has a genuine interest in doing everything we can to maintain my vision. I don't know what I'd do without him.
My 3 year old woke up with swollen eye and complaining of pain and light sensitivity! We are new to town and a quick google search lead us to Unger eye care! They got us in fast and they were so caring and so sweet with her! It was her first eye dr visit and it definitely made a good impression. She tells everyone about it and wants to be an eye dr! From the time I walked into the building to the time I walked out they were soooo nice. They greet you as if they love their jobs. They answer all questions to the best of their ability, in a respectful manner. I highly recommend Unger Eye Care at the Troy IL location. Literally every staff member was exceptional.
