It's an amazing place to work with many eateries around, including a roof top restaurant that serves delicious delicacies from various cuisines. The education experience the university provides is an exemplary model of which has made the university the ONLY private university to be ranked twice in a row.

Stupid registra and finance office staff always do...

Stupid registra and finance office staff always don't settle problems seriously, they keep students take tickets going back to queue and queue with the same problems, half day waste for queue ing .. Rate themselves with fully satisfied.. I wonder is it the method to keep themselves look busy. The only efficient work they did is to make you pay money, I am involved in a case that lack of one credit hour, head of department did email me to do a assignment to fulfil that, during the time others student went to talk was free for course fee. I need to add in the subject in system although I already did the assignment (Video assignment only without attend any class or tutorial , own knowledge can did that). The Finance Office ask me to pay Rm1400 for the course fee, although I get supported by faculty to waive it. I think the finance officer dont even read my documents that support me to waive the fee. (Few seconds come back to me said me need to pay the course fee).
So, if you are rich and a lot of time you can go UCSI, their "awesome" services can serve you.

Some people do comment badly to the University however In my opinion it is still depend on how you perceive the matter. I did found that UCSI suit me the most. With the best and high quality of education and not forget the lecturers in my faculty were all passionate to facilitate us as a student.

5 star rated given :)

5 star rated given :)
Here is the reason
---------------------------------------
1. Short distance walk to reach place to makan like restaurant, cafe, hawker stall.
2. The price of most of the thing quite okay also (compare to PJ haha).
3. As a motor rider, it's very convenient, effective.
4. I can go to eko cheras or leisure mall after class, why?? for food larh. haha
5. Night life not bad larh... few places nearby allow me to chill drink. The sky lounge in the campus not bad too, very very chill tho.
6. TBH, playing sports in cheras no need worry much one, save money ma .
You probably don't see any reason that is related to the studies. Well, every course every syllabus every syllabus is just the same for me. Haha. Cheras area indeed a very chill place compare to PJ (my hometown)

If knowing how to steal money from various financial loopholes, annoying foreign students, showing indirect racism, acting in the most unprofessional way possible and least interested teachers is the way to go, then I rate UCSI a whooping 5 stars

Poor administrative and academic services. No form...

Poor administrative and academic services. No formal and helpful attitude of administrative staffs and faculties are not compassionate with students. Teachers do follow their own preference rules while grading. To me I feel like always I am isolated among others.

Visa processing unit behaves harshly and misguide students. Specially Ms Zaliha she will treat you with her bossy attitude. You aren't allowed to ask any questions she can scold you with loud words. Other officers sitting there including (Ms Rita Ms Saori) in VPU noone has proper knowledge about documentation. They hassled me so much for my dependent pass application. However they even don't know that for dependent application the dependent needs to have a sticker single entry visa and my application is denied due to this my money and time both is wasted. So you have to run inside a maze while you will be dealing with them. Employer needs to groom it's employees on professional manner and how to talk with post graduate students.

I also felt like there's a big communication gap within student and university. Since when I started studying here I saw no university administrative personnel seriously deals with phone calls and emails enquiries.

Proper guidance is missing for PhD or DBA students. Only students with scholarships get the priority. Students are highly disappointed with university teaching experience.

Library is not much resourcefull. Lack of space for research related students work is also seen.

Poor looking campus it looks very commercial.

My overall experience from this university is I made a wrong decision to come here but I am badly trapped now. I feel like university seems like a money eater rather than a education server. This is for sure I am not going to recommend this university to anyone from my side.

My time was good at the University. They can improve the admission process by setting up "one-stop service" area during the admission season. Besides, the peoples involve in the admission process need to be more pro-active and empathetic to the new intake and their parents. So that the first impression as well as the experience could be awesome. Thanks.

A little above average in terms of management, qualification, campus, fees, resources, lecturers, students etc. But they are very efficient in collecting fees tho.

But be VERY CAREFUL if anyone decides to visit UCSI block C, the lift doors are famed for closing without warning, putting anyone crushed by it to utter embarrassment especially during peak hours.

Customer care is below poor level. We came to enrol into a course and enrolment representative was like discouraging the whole time. Like doing a BSC in Physchology can only lead u to a day care centre and etc. Why the hell would i pay almost 100k and waste almost 4 years to work at a daycare. No disrespect to the profession. Nobel. But the way they guide sucks.!

Hey guys, let me guide you with some reviews on th...

Hey guys, let me guide you with some reviews on this university. Has been a student for 4 years, some of the lecturers are pretty good (Thus, deserving another star), in terms of education, it's not too bad. Why is it 2 stars? University system. Total rubbish. Finance and Registrar plays an important roles in the university. Yes, one might say there's good and bad in all the universities, it's all the same, well, I couldn't agree more on the statement, but let me just tell you through my experience in the Finance and Registrar Office (Only this 2 departments causing so much trouble).

Before I entered the university, they treated us VERY greatly (Yes, of course it's business, I know that, but was expecting a moderate treatment rather than extremely bad treatment), but once I registered to the university, on the first day ITSELF, I was disrespected from the staff from the Finance Department. My dad and I went to make payment for my first semester, and of course, receipt must be checked before signature to be signed in the paper, yet the staff was saying things like "Why need to check, no need check one lah, your son want study then good enough". What the heck was that? Very professional from the Finance department. 4 years have passed, not much improvement or difference unfortunately.

Now, it's about Registrar office. There's some good, some bad, some RUDE. I fully understand sometime the staff do get little frustrated as there are only 1-2 people working at that time. But, heck, why the hell the management team only placing 1-2 people working when there are SO MANY students that needs to be served. I still see some just sitting and chatting in the office inside. Shameful, really. Kudos to those kind hearted staff that, though having a tough time yet still give a full commitment on serving the student (It's hard to find those staff, you're lucky, you get it, percentage to get remains at 13.36667%), meanwhile those RUDE staffs are unbearable, they speak loudly, intervene your explanation and refuse to hear any explanation to be made from the student. (Remember, the students are clients for God sake!) It's not first time I encountered. I face it many times, terrible.

I see you've made this far. Thanks for reading this far. To summarise this post, I'd say the lecturers and the teaching are not too bad (There's some good, some bad, as usual) and certain facilities worked pretty well, but unlike other universities, the lab of this university is EXTREMELY lacking. The only main concern about this university is the FINANCE and REGISTRAR Office, it's the hell of the university. You'll definitely have to deal with them a lot, good luck for that. If you can, I would advise to go to INTI, or some similar institution. Think twice before joining this university. I didn't mention you MUST NOT join, rather just giving my opinions. Best of luck for the choices you make.

Best regards,
David Choi Y.S
(Booyah, I graduated!)

I echo all the comments which is pointing out areas of improvement from this rating comments. The thing about this school is that it is highly commercial, not academic. Peter Ng's children are educated overseas which proves he doesn't believe in Malaysian education. But looks like he is shown as the pioneer to the local educational system copying the western educational model. Just go out and challenge yourself from colleges overseas, unless you are ok to donate lump sum to Ng family.

In short, this university is a labyrinth of memory making and happiness. The atmosphere of the university is perfect. The place is surrounded with a lot of beautiful people and food. The lecturers were amazing, kind and have helped me achieve the best version of myself. The only thing I am not satisfied is the fact that there are not many books in the library, well there are..but most of them are of the same title and author. Overall, I love this university, thank you UCSI University.
