It's an amazing place to work with many eateries around, including a roof top restaurant that serves delicious delicacies from various cuisines. The education experience the university provides is an exemplary model of which has made the university the ONLY private university to be ranked twice in a row.
To be frank this university is quite good but something can be change
Many students here don't care to wear face mask properly. Such a stupid mentality.
Charged carpark on convocation day with only one autopay in the block, imagine the queue, imagine the traffic. University will go bankrupt without collecting parking fee for a day I guess.
Ucsi block G 12th floor Sky bar lounge , having a 2019 countdown which is nice and perfect. Have a great moment with people among the sky bar. Is and countdown event, The buffet food is very nice and delicious. The drinks served is superb happy new year 2019.
One of the top private universities in Malaysia and South East Asia. Strong in the fields of Sciences, Business & Music.
if you want to be a failure and stressed go and study here because this university is expensive for nothing the library looks like an apartment and the labs are like from the 80,s. And most of the lectures need an IELTS exam.
The environment in UCSI is very nice. The staff are very friendly and I will definitely to recommend my friend to study here.
UCSI University, One of the Concern of UCSI Education Group. They having number of Educational Unit & BOS (Blue Oceans Strategy) Research Centre, Which is really Famous on the Ground of Business Sector.
Student & Facilities, its both are there. But need to ensure your requirement & the service points. Day by day it's developing with many other sectors. Besides Education Institutions (University, College & School), having Hospital, Hotels & Treatment Centers.
As an Academic Coordinator, I suggest applicant, to visit this campus & Official to get back real information for there further higher education.
I enjoy most of my days become part of UCSI University. Totally recommended
Arrogant Dean want to resume physical studies during covid19 pandemic
and this school is cold hearted towards money
Stupid registra and finance office staff always don't settle problems seriously, they keep students take tickets going back to queue and queue with the same problems, half day waste for queue ing .. Rate themselves with fully satisfied.. I wonder is it the method to keep themselves look busy. The only efficient work they did is to make you pay money, I am involved in a case that lack of one credit hour, head of department did email me to do a assignment to fulfil that, during the time others student went to talk was free for course fee. I need to add in the subject in system although I already did the assignment (Video assignment only without attend any class or tutorial , own knowledge can did that). The Finance Office ask me to pay Rm1400 for the course fee, although I get supported by faculty to waive it. I think the finance officer dont even read my documents that support me to waive the fee. (Few seconds come back to me said me need to pay the course fee).
So, if you are rich and a lot of time you can go UCSI, their "awesome" services can serve you.
UCSI University is a comprehensive university in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is Malaysia's best private university in the 2019 QS World University Rankings. In the rankings, UCSI is ranked 481, standing out as the only private university in Malaysia to make the top 500. UCSI also made the top 70 in the 2019 QS Top 50 under 50 list that ranks the world s best young universities under 50 years old.
UCSI has great facility for lecturers and students for teaching and learning. They provide various facilities and gadgets at staff's convenience to facilitate smooth teaching and learning process.
This is a very good university. The Faculty of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts provide good customer service and easy to approach. Thank you all the lecturers.
They just want money if u want to choose this school, i suggest your better change to another university like APU, UTAR or TARC
One of the best decision I ever made to study here. Truly the best private uni in South East Asia
Scam university which scam a lot of money from students, very bad management and bad facilities, no enough hostel to accommodate students, never return back your deposits also. Dont study here, this is my sincere advice.
Well for a private institution and as a student, all I can say it is quite nice and fun to study in UCSI University. Some people do comment badly to the University however In my opinion it is still depend on how you perceive the matter. I did found that UCSI suit me the most. With the best and high quality of education and not forget the lecturers in my faculty were all passionate to facilitate us as a student.
I have been working here for 3++ years. So far so good. Very decent place and organized. Good bonus. Flexible.
Hi boss, customer care sucks. Please improve, not the biggest fan of being transfered to nothing from the nowhere department.
5 star rated given :)
Here is the reason
---------------------------------------
1. Short distance walk to reach place to makan like restaurant, cafe, hawker stall.
2. The price of most of the thing quite okay also (compare to PJ haha).
3. As a motor rider, it's very convenient, effective.
4. I can go to eko cheras or leisure mall after class, why?? for food larh. haha
5. Night life not bad larh... few places nearby allow me to chill drink. The sky lounge in the campus not bad too, very very chill tho.
6. TBH, playing sports in cheras no need worry much one, save money ma .
You probably don't see any reason that is related to the studies. Well, every course every syllabus every syllabus is just the same for me. Haha. Cheras area indeed a very chill place compare to PJ (my hometown)
I am a UCSI graduate, and I can tell you it is absolutely a piece of shiy university I wasted my time and money, they simply dont help dont assist dont care about the students and they are not a bit friendly.
I hate this place even looking at pictures makes me sick. Dont even consider going there.
Impressed. The shops around the campus are very interesting and like the campus environment.
No student rights. Poor lecturer and bad plus forceful attendance rules.
UCSI University is famous for engineering, pharmacy, actuarial science, architecture, biotechnology, food science & nutrition, logistics, music and finance programmes. It is quite affordable for the facilities that you get. Also located strategically near restaurants, banks, and 10 minutes away from KL city.
One of the fastest growing private university in Malaysia.
Parking space is limited. Building not well maintained.
This is a "Just Fine" University for me. Not too boring, Not too luxury, Got food here like cafe, mamak, fast food, etc. Talking about the course... well... "Just Fine", meaning that it is sufficient. I'm a sport person, and it's actually a great place for me to play sport. Anyway, it's very chill here
Nice University with one of the top facilities and services (UCSI). But need to improve on the handicapped friendly.
If knowing how to steal money from various financial loopholes, annoying foreign students, showing indirect racism, acting in the most unprofessional way possible and least interested teachers is the way to go, then I rate UCSI a whooping 5 stars
One of Prestigious Academics Point in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Some Program are Unique for Local & International Student's
Poor administrative and academic services. No formal and helpful attitude of administrative staffs and faculties are not compassionate with students. Teachers do follow their own preference rules while grading. To me I feel like always I am isolated among others.
Visa processing unit behaves harshly and misguide students. Specially Ms Zaliha she will treat you with her bossy attitude. You aren't allowed to ask any questions she can scold you with loud words. Other officers sitting there including (Ms Rita Ms Saori) in VPU noone has proper knowledge about documentation. They hassled me so much for my dependent pass application. However they even don't know that for dependent application the dependent needs to have a sticker single entry visa and my application is denied due to this my money and time both is wasted. So you have to run inside a maze while you will be dealing with them. Employer needs to groom it's employees on professional manner and how to talk with post graduate students.
I also felt like there's a big communication gap within student and university. Since when I started studying here I saw no university administrative personnel seriously deals with phone calls and emails enquiries.
Proper guidance is missing for PhD or DBA students. Only students with scholarships get the priority. Students are highly disappointed with university teaching experience.
Library is not much resourcefull. Lack of space for research related students work is also seen.
Poor looking campus it looks very commercial.
My overall experience from this university is I made a wrong decision to come here but I am badly trapped now. I feel like university seems like a money eater rather than a education server. This is for sure I am not going to recommend this university to anyone from my side.
We recruited students for internship. The quality of students showed that the university has a good teaching and learning system
Top private university in Malaysia based on QS World Uni Rankings 2019, and 2020
I regretted that my son spent a year at this university. If the profs test in IELTS they will score less then 5.0 .Their English is horrible.
Nice experience at the University.
Very strategic place. Looking forward to more developments
Not the number 1 university. Can't handle students properly
The Malaysia best private university and the best management
The Engineering Faculty s strength composed of highly qualified academicians with industrial exposures in respective discipline. The academic staffs delivering high standards of teaching and learning for students at Engineering Faculty, which is in line with our vision is to be an intellectually resilient praxis university renowned for its leadership in academic pursuits and engagement with the industry and the community.
My time was good at the University. They can improve the admission process by setting up "one-stop service" area during the admission season. Besides, the peoples involve in the admission process need to be more pro-active and empathetic to the new intake and their parents. So that the first impression as well as the experience could be awesome. Thanks.
The environment here is good and parking spot is efficient.
It is an established private university which emphasizes on quality and students' career opportunity, aligned with its vision to engage with the community and industry. It's a young yet keep souring high local university in Malaysia.
Event though i have to climb so many stairs everyday, it feels good to be back here
A little above average in terms of management, qualification, campus, fees, resources, lecturers, students etc. But they are very efficient in collecting fees tho.
But be VERY CAREFUL if anyone decides to visit UCSI block C, the lift doors are famed for closing without warning, putting anyone crushed by it to utter embarrassment especially during peak hours.
Putting own students safety behind but profit as their first and always priority. Forcing student having final exam on 17th April 2020 when the Movement Control Order just end on 14th April 2020.
Variety choice of programme, various food delights around, and mosquitoes.
UCSI campus in Cheras is the best, among many private universities in Malaysia. I can assess all the essential things for everyday usage near the campus. TBS terminal is not far away from our campus and we can enjoy the many kinds of food near it.
This university will only leave u with meantal issues loss of money and uneducated.
Customer care is below poor level. We came to enrol into a course and enrolment representative was like discouraging the whole time. Like doing a BSC in Physchology can only lead u to a day care centre and etc. Why the hell would i pay almost 100k and waste almost 4 years to work at a daycare. No disrespect to the profession. Nobel. But the way they guide sucks.!
UCSI University is now fully operating on dual-mode learning where students can attend the class physically or online for every program. This provide borderless and continuous teaching and learning experience
Hey guys, let me guide you with some reviews on this university. Has been a student for 4 years, some of the lecturers are pretty good (Thus, deserving another star), in terms of education, it's not too bad. Why is it 2 stars? University system. Total rubbish. Finance and Registrar plays an important roles in the university. Yes, one might say there's good and bad in all the universities, it's all the same, well, I couldn't agree more on the statement, but let me just tell you through my experience in the Finance and Registrar Office (Only this 2 departments causing so much trouble).
Before I entered the university, they treated us VERY greatly (Yes, of course it's business, I know that, but was expecting a moderate treatment rather than extremely bad treatment), but once I registered to the university, on the first day ITSELF, I was disrespected from the staff from the Finance Department. My dad and I went to make payment for my first semester, and of course, receipt must be checked before signature to be signed in the paper, yet the staff was saying things like "Why need to check, no need check one lah, your son want study then good enough". What the heck was that? Very professional from the Finance department. 4 years have passed, not much improvement or difference unfortunately.
Now, it's about Registrar office. There's some good, some bad, some RUDE. I fully understand sometime the staff do get little frustrated as there are only 1-2 people working at that time. But, heck, why the hell the management team only placing 1-2 people working when there are SO MANY students that needs to be served. I still see some just sitting and chatting in the office inside. Shameful, really. Kudos to those kind hearted staff that, though having a tough time yet still give a full commitment on serving the student (It's hard to find those staff, you're lucky, you get it, percentage to get remains at 13.36667%), meanwhile those RUDE staffs are unbearable, they speak loudly, intervene your explanation and refuse to hear any explanation to be made from the student. (Remember, the students are clients for God sake!) It's not first time I encountered. I face it many times, terrible.
I see you've made this far. Thanks for reading this far. To summarise this post, I'd say the lecturers and the teaching are not too bad (There's some good, some bad, as usual) and certain facilities worked pretty well, but unlike other universities, the lab of this university is EXTREMELY lacking. The only main concern about this university is the FINANCE and REGISTRAR Office, it's the hell of the university. You'll definitely have to deal with them a lot, good luck for that. If you can, I would advise to go to INTI, or some similar institution. Think twice before joining this university. I didn't mention you MUST NOT join, rather just giving my opinions. Best of luck for the choices you make.
Best regards,
David Choi Y.S
(Booyah, I graduated!)
Hated the university. Poor quality equipment, poor quality lecturers and terrible academic and administrative governance structure. High fees.
I echo all the comments which is pointing out areas of improvement from this rating comments. The thing about this school is that it is highly commercial, not academic. Peter Ng's children are educated overseas which proves he doesn't believe in Malaysian education. But looks like he is shown as the pioneer to the local educational system copying the western educational model. Just go out and challenge yourself from colleges overseas, unless you are ok to donate lump sum to Ng family.
UCSI University has contributed to the development of its nation Malaysia and also to many other nations all around the world. Glad to be part of its community which each one of us can contribute to the nation's development.
Come and be part of its community.
For a private college I think the physical environment is OK. Not sure about the quality of lectrees and administration.
In short, this university is a labyrinth of memory making and happiness. The atmosphere of the university is perfect. The place is surrounded with a lot of beautiful people and food. The lecturers were amazing, kind and have helped me achieve the best version of myself. The only thing I am not satisfied is the fact that there are not many books in the library, well there are..but most of them are of the same title and author. Overall, I love this university, thank you UCSI University.
its quit enough to take your attention that the responsible staff doesn't replay on the urgent email
I tried to sign up, but the counselor was unfriendly and the English grammar was not decent. Others may be different, but it's unlikely that someone like that is doing any counseling.
Malaysia No.1 Private University (saw the banners everywhere).
UCSI has two wings : South Wing and North Wing. ( North wing mainly for foundation and A level).

All lectures in the university are very experienced. I can easily understand what the lecturers are teaching. I like their teaching approach especially Dr Crendy. She teaches us patiently and she is willing to spend extra times to guide and supervise us.
As a current student, I have the right to voice out my opinions. For whoever that is considering to enroll, please DO NOT ENROLL. UCSI has the worse management I've ever encountered in a private university and they have very unprofessional lecturers. You will regret coming here, trust me :)
Putting own students safety behind but profit as their first and always priority. Forcing student having final exam on 17th April 2020 when the Movement Control Order just end on 14th April 2020.
This university wasted my 1 year. The worst university i have ever been to. They will take tuition fee last 2 semester even after you pay them the whole year fee. I will never recommend this uni to anyone.
Truely not the best place to study cause they are a money grabbing, soul sucking enterprise that have the least of concern for the students but alot of the people over there are good and hard working but don't get wht they deserve.
Good university for students that really want to work. They have several campuses and accommodation near them.
A good place to work and study. Community is from diverse cultures and backgrounds, working together towards a common goal - to provide the best education in a modern environment.
do not waste your money, life and mental health if you take this advise seriously from a graduated international student or others feed back.
The University s academic staff are at the forefront of their disciplines and their views are highly sought after on major issues; from business to political science. Many of UCSI academics have extensive experience working overseas and some play advisory roles in public bodies and various committees. By bringing their experiences into the classroom, UCSI academics cater to an exhilarating learning environment and learners will thrive as they balance academic mastery with industrial application.
RUDE STUFFS. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY

Many international staffs and students in UCSI, and it is good and wonderful experience to share many things with them.
BECAUSE NO-UPDATE INFO, LAST MINUTE CANCELLED CLASS, LAST MINUTES ON CLASS. NO SYSTEM AT ALL. NO HOLIDAY SCHEDULE. SOME OF LECTURER NO VERY GOOD.
