Ucsf benioff children's hospital oakland Reviews

Everyone was nice but we waited for 3 hours and nobody came to attend us.

I would highly recommend taking your child anywhere but UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital - Oakland !!
The nurses have no communication skills whatsoever with each other or the patience. A few of the doctors are downright rude and HIPAA LAWS are being broken left and right you can here from the nurses station what there saying and some of the things are ungodly!!
Not only are they breaking the HIPAA LAWS at the nurses station but they are also breaking HIPAA LAWS talking about other patients in other patients rooms.
They also want parents to leave!! RED FLAGS RIGHT THERE!!
They do not like when you ask a lot of questions, and some of the staff will even tell you it is not there job to answer your questions and thats being said by doctors and nurses.
And the security at the hospital is ridiculously rude.

We have been taking our special needs children to Oakland since my son was 2 1/2 and diagnosed witg seizures. He is 12 now. We have never had a bad experience here! Everyone is always so nice and accommodating to us!

We were transferred here twice with our 4 month old son. We were so fortunate as our son received THE BEST care possible. Not only did they help our son, but they helped us with a place to stay at the family house and many other services. We all received wonderful care! I cannot say enough great things about this hospital. They truly care not only for the patient but the families too!

What an amazing set of people! Restored my faith in humanity. Thank you to all those who make this place tick. I don't have much to donate but this is a place ill be happy to give to. Thank you to all the staff!

I would like to say that all the staff were very very kind,helpful and heart warming,except a nurse by the name of Monique in the icu. She grabs the baby's and moves them around like they're toys. If your having a bad day don't go to work. These baby's are defenseless,and to treat them the way she does is a crime because that's child endangerment. With that kind of attitude she should work in a prison or somewhere else but not with these beautiful babies. So please,please if you go there stay with your child. You might end up with her tossing your baby around like toys

The staff here truly care about helping people. No matter what department you're in they are there for you. I feel so comfortable everytime I go because I know they are there for me and my child.

Horrible horrible horrible, take my advice and take your children else where.

My 15 year old grandson was flown to this hospital in critical condition. Sadly in spite of the best medical care possible, he passed 2 days later. The Drs., SWs, Nurses, Clergy was so wonderful to all of us. The 2-3 days we waited there, meals were provided by Ronald McDonald to anybody in the waiting room who was hungry. His passing was so spiritual and gentle and respectful. I will always remember that.

I felt as if my son was well taken care of. I cannot remember the last RN who we had but he was a traveling nurse and he was amazing. I wish they were all like him. They were good but he went above and beyond.
