As Mark Cuban once said "If your college is building buildings your college is f*****". Don't know where I was going with that, I just thought it was a funny quote. Great school so far though, it definitely deserves that 4.0, nothing better and not anything worse.

Great experience. One of the last few true college towns. Large campus but plenty of ways to connect. Great food, great professors and a great opportunity. Highly recommend you do the dorms your first year.

UC Davis is a great school. I have been doing research on it for a couple of years now and have come as far as to interview people in my family that have either visited the school or went there

All the food is super spicy. And it was all free!!!!!

The campus is HUGE and has probably gotten bigger since i left! Beautiful campus! Even if you don't go to school there, it is so nice and relaxing (when classes aren't in session) that you can treat it like a park sorta. Great place to just ride a bike (again when classes aren't in session, coz bike traffic can get crazy!!!)

Perhaps I was attending the nearby special education facility while thinking I was at the UC? Certainly felt like that at more than a few points in my undergrad studies there.

Something about the whole atmosphere was off (even if the swastika graffiti and "burn the witch" adult population are taken out of the equation), and I felt it from day one.

I chose to ignore it in favor of what I thought was better judgement -- this was easily one of the ten worst mistakes of my life.

American flag offensive? I hope the students that are offended aren't getting any federal funding. You can take government money, but the American flag offends you? Where do you all come up with your logic?!

Great school! Kind of need a bike to travel around however.

Go Overall a great undergraduate experience- students must stay vigilant, however, and like the artwork outside of the administrative building, Keep an Eye on Mrak.

After the disastrous tenure of the corrupt Linda Katehi, look for this campus to continue to do great things for the student experience and the Land Grant mission under new leadership.

I went here for a school competition and I loved the experience, I plan on going here after high school.

Great place with amazing environmentally friendly dispositions; animals, water ways, grape fields, old and new architectures, parks. Truly a great learning environment to be.

Visited the college and it seemed hopeful. When I chatted with the students and faculty there, I was grosstly mistaken. I knew about the protesting incident and I wanted to know what, if anything, has changed to promote a more healthy atmosphere for students. Instead I found myself disappointed by the faculty, feeling sorry for the students who were denied the right to protest, and an officer pull next to me asked me did I belong on that campus. I felt so welcome at UC Davis (sarcasm)

I got into my dream school (UC Davis) and I absolutely love it. It s eco-friendly, the professors are passionate about their subject-matter, and the students are extremely kind. I couldn t have asked for a better university than this.

I am very pleased with the education I received here. Back in 2004, I was accepted to Berkeley, and UCLA but chose Davis over these schools because they offered better financial aid, had a ton of majors to choose from, and had top notch opportunities for research and internships (its right next to the state capitol so its the UC school to choose if you want to get into politics). Ultimately, I owe UC Davis for inspiring my career in research, my acceptance to Ivy league graduate schools, and being able to graduate college debt free. What a great deal!

Nice experience nice two years life nice university

Having taught here for more than 26 years, I really love my colleagues, the campus, and my bright and hard-working students. I can't think of a place where I would rather teach than the University of California at Davis.

Some pretty hateful people attend this University, especially if your beliefs differ from theirs. I encourage everyone to find a more open minded and less divisive institution.

"Rule to display U.S flag is 'outdated'"? Then shouldn't these hypocrites stop taking ALL federal funding? Hmmm... oh yeah, but that would require GROWN UPS, with even just a modicum of integrity, instead of the mentally-crippled, whiny, snowflake college JACKASSES that currently infest American colleges.

Great University to get your education from, especially in the sciences.

As a UC to UC transfer to Davis, I can guarantee that the school in general has a very welcoming vibe. It's very spacious and relaxing, while the sea of park bikes will certainly be a new experience. The educational standards here are top caliber and there are a wide variety of rec opportunities.

If I'm being totally honest, I was a bit dissapointed. I had high expectation when transfering from my community college, my time in Davis gave me an even greater appreciation for Saddleback College. I did enjoy my time here, Davis is a wonderful town, unless you really need that city life. The school feels a bit old and over crowded with a couple stand out new buildings that you might be lucky enough to have one class in. In animal science, it's always a struggle to get the classes you want, and they're usually packed with students. TA's do most of the grading, and while some were amazing and will be remembered for the rest of my life, many were apathetic and I seriously questioned their knowledgeability on subject matter or proper writing techniques. The majority of professors were great teachers and warm people, if you could push through the hoard to make an introduction. If you're too shy, you'll be lost in the crowd, choose to stand out. I'm still grateful for the time I spent here, UCD set me up to follow my dream, and I learned from some of the best animal scientists. I'm looking forward to starting veterinary school this fall.

It's hard to survive in UC Davis. What I mean is about academics. If you only listen to lecture and do your homework, you still won't do well on test or exam since professors went so fast (damn quarter system) that it too hard to catch up unless you already know the concept before. You may find tutor to help you, but you don't have much time. The only thing you can do is ask help from friends.

My alma mater. Things are changing but the changes are very nice. The dorms look much improved as does the Coffee House.

Super cool campus! It's has a bunch of trees and also feels modern and new! It seems they have been doing a lot of construction lately so it will look even better in the near future! Great School.

4.12 stars. Loved my visit to campus, but too many of the students identified as being pretensious, so I gave it just over 4 stars instead of 5 stars. I would go back.

I imagine the school is pretty good despite the large number cows we saw around campus.

This is your typical college town. Everything is designed for students and life in Davis seems to revolve around UC Davis and bicycles.

I would avoid Greek life if you enjoy having a high GPA.

Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Excellent patient, and human parent care. We trusted the staff thoroughly.

To those who are not local, UC Davis is a unknown school. It's a high-quality place, tucked away in a city that is envious of Berkeley. Most parents would be happier to send their kids to Davis than to Berkeley, for safety reasons.

The arboretum is such a terrific resource. Great place for a family picnic with birds, bugs, trails, trees, and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves.

I went to school here and it was great! The weather is four season The football team rules. The campus is perfectly planed out; And the administration and staff seem to really care here. I earned my bachelors here, and would do it all over again. It was a great education.

Provided water for the Davis Turkey Trot! It was such a wonderful day filled with runs for all ages and even furry pets. So glad that we got to share clean oollee water to all the participants! Thank you UC Davis !

Walking the arboridum early in the morning is very beautiful and peaceful. Parking is currently free due to covid. The only concern is everyone walking through the gardens are no longer wearing masks. Why? This included the elderly to young individuals and a photographer.This is very unusual so walkers beware.

I earned a Doctorate in Molecular Genetics from the UC Davis and I had the pleasure of working with a World Class faculty in Life Sciences. My career has been one adventure after another and I continue to work in Academia as a professor with a fine group of people; the few, the proud, the scientists!

Hi I'm Gitali I'm in 8th grade I know that my dream of coming here might be like everyone else's but this school is all I have ever wanted. Since I was 2 I have wanted to become a vet. I want to open my own hospital. I love all animals. I adore them.My life has revolved on animals. Due to my indian parents I have to keep my grades up as high as possible. I really dont mind it though. University of California, Davis is all that I wish for I would do anything to be in this school and accomplish my dream. If I do get in this school I promise to work hard and never give up.

UC Davis spent at least $175000 on online reputation management to try and cover up campus police pepper spraying non-violent students. This school spent over 5 million on "strategic communication" in 2016. That's equivalent to 354 full scholarships. Question this school's goals.
