I don't work here I'm a spouse from someone who works at this place friendly people even in the office yes you work hard like any other place he comes home with a smile as long as you do your job and stop talking then your doing a good job great benefits great pay if your there to work and not play kid games this is a great place to work thank you US marble for everything you have done for my family
I am a contractor that has been doing business with US Marble for years. They have some fairly good products but their customer service has really been poor lately. I just ordered a small replacement piece for one of my jobs that I was told couldn't be rushed and the quickest would be four weeks which I was a little disappointed but accepted. It took almost 6 weeks and we had to drive to go get it or it would have been a week later because it didn't pass quality inspection. I had three emails and two phone calls with no responses. When we got to the plant to pick up our piece it wasn't even done yet. It literary took them 10 min to make it while we waited. For as much business we have given them over the years I would have expected them to work with us and be more flexible. This is one of many stories latley with this company. Very disappointing.
I was warned about this place before working here but I came in with an open mind wanting to prove all the nasty opinions wrong....The place is a joke. It literally felt like high school all over again while working there. It didn't matter what knowledge or work ethic you brought to the table it was either you were well liked by all the old ladies there or you were nothing. Hope the owner reads this someday and contacts me, I'd love to tell him ALL about how his business is ran while he's gone.
They parked their huge truck right out in front of a hotel they are staying at. There is plenty of parking behind the hotel for oversized vehicles, yet they ignored this and decided it was a good idea to take up five spaces reserved for normal sized vehicles. So, other people are having to park really far away because US Marble feels entitled to five spaces. After reading the other reviews, this seems to affirm their lack of respect for others.
Ordered a vanity top from US Marble through Lowes on Oct 28th. Lowes calls after a couple of weeks and says US Marble does not have the material to make the vanity top. The material is Cueva Quartz. I call Cueva and they say they have plenty of material but that US Marble buys in bulk for their vanities. Lowes calls again and says US Marble will not have the Cueva until mid-December and I will not have my vanity top until January. What would a customer focused company do? They would get the material as a special order from Cueva and fulfill their back orders rather than waiting two months for their regular material order to come in. That's not US Marble however. I called them and basically they told me there was nothing they could do. Looks like that is par for the course for them. I hope I get my vanity top someday, I guess we will see. I will revise my review based upon the results. UPDATE: I got my vanity earlier than expected but the quality was not great. One end was 5/16ths+ wider than the other. No big deal except the side splash was too long because the problem. The backsplash itself was the correct length but the cut was so poorly you could rock it - it did not lay flush. Also the height of the side splash was about 1/8 shorter than the backsplash. I called US Marble and they responded nicely and quickly that they would get me a new backsplash and side splash through Lowes. So I have the new backsplash and it is correct in every way and lays flat. WooHoo! The sidesplash is now a matching height but about 1/2" too long. Rather than get another made I will try to cut it with a wet saw, I now have a couple of pieces I can test before I cut the final one. So A+ for post sales customer services but a D on overall quality. Price was reasonable but I cannot see myself buying another product from them.
I will never work for this place again. So many bad incidents has happened there. I seen someone stick up for their whole team there because the "upper" management was doing them wrong. Well they got suspended for threatening someone's name title because he's the plant supervisior. Once again Rick covered for his family that works there just like he did his cousin Jack. I took my job very seriously unlike alot of people there, I came in every day never late. I wanted to learn it all but some upper management don't want to teach the employees under them so they can learn it all. I had to teach myself pretty much how to do my job. Like the other posts there is alot of drama like high school yes I can get over that and I was, but when my boss' plant supervisor disappear for a half hr to do drugs and come back all tweeked out. So when you ever have a problem or concern in that place and you want to keep a job make sure you keep your mouth shut about anything bad that goes on in there. Or you'll be FIRED! I'm not the first to see this happen or to quit because of it. Question is how many times you gonna see your good employees leave and your place go down hill because of it all? There's a reason it was so bad and it will continue until those people are out.
