U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District Reviews

The Army Corps of Engineers closed all boat ramps and resevoirs during the Corna pandemic. People have been fired from jobs and not received any unemployment or stimulus and now we cant fish for our food. I have spoken with a couple people saying I would get a call back, etc.. they have been nice and as helpful as possible but unfortunately doesnt feed families.

probably the only place i liked to work in Oregon
people where nice friendly and smart
the environment is great and its the only thing i loved in Portland

OUR TAXES PAY THESE ENGINEERS TO DO THEIR JOB. I HOPE THEY PULL THEIR HEAD OUT AND MANAGE THE RIVER LEVELS PROPERLY IN THE FUTURE. FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS THEY DID NOT AND THE LOWER COLUMBIA RIVER BASIN HAS REACHED FLOOD LEVELS FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN A LACK OF INTELLIGENCE. HOW HARD IS IT TO FORESEE THE MELTING SNOW IN THE SPRING AND RELEASE WATER BEFORE THAT HAPPENS??? EVIDENTLY THESE PEOPLE HAVE NOT LEARNED THAT YET. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE THEY WILL THIS YEAR. I DOUBT IT, BUT WE CAN ALWAYS HOPE...LOL.!!!!! IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN IF THEIR HOUSE WAS ON THE FLOOD PLAIN. PATHETIC...

I have to write this review because I entered the front desk and wasn t greeted or even looked up for about 3 mins.
