The best air museum in the world! Massive attached hangers with a missile silo. Start your day walking through WW1 aviation and end it in modern day air and space technology. Great set ups. From a staged plane wreck or loading of a bomber to a heart turning Holocaust and POW educational walkthroughs. So much history captured in one place. Beautiful airplanes. Plenty of stories to read. A great way to spend a day off. A must see if you're in the Dayton area.

Took us roughly 5 hours to get through all 4 hangars. I feel we needed more time, due to the Presidential Gallery being more hands on and touring inside the planes! This was our second trip, and by far the best! The Valkyrie Cafe was good, but a touch pricey.
Overall, a great trip and the history behind every item makes it worth it!

This museum is amazing. It easily rivals, if not beats, the Smithsonian museums in Washington, DC. Plan to spend the entire day as they have four HUGE hangars packed FULL of aircraft. There s a great mix of modern and vintage aircraft. The best part is it s FREE! If you re passing through do yourself a favor and stop here!

The sheer size of this place is amazing. You could be here all day and still not read all of the information. We were here for 2 hours with kids. They had a special of D-day. It was a great way to spend memorial day. The gift shop had a lot of cool stuff, but there are also some cheap unbranded plane toys you could get for half the price at discount stores. So beware if you have kids, lol. The picture packages are really nice. And having free parking and admission makes it a great attraction especially for people not from the area, like us.

A must visit for everyone! The amount of history packed into this place is massive. The best museum that I have ever been to! There are water fountains and clean bathrooms between each area of the museum. There are staff everywhere to help answer questions.

What a great museum! The restored aircraft, the artifacts and the stories behind them are invaluable to the upcoming generations. Had a wonderful time with family and friends and it can be done in a few hours, or you could become a member and enjoy it over the course of many trips.

Planes, planes and more planes! Lots of historical information, well-designed galleries, planes to get into, planes to walk through, simulators of several kinds, etc. It's free, though some simulators do cost a bit. We particularly liked the space shuttle - amazing, and what kid doesn't want to see a space toilet? Free parking. The cafe and cafeteria are a bit pricey, but good. Be sure to check out the outside exhibits and garden, if you have energy! Also, no food or drinks allowed in.

Amazing collection of priceless aircraft, including the X15 that holds the record for the fastest flight of a manned, powered aircraft, set in 1967, the only XB-70 Valkyrie in existence, the B-29 that dropped Fat Man, a mercury era capsule, the Apollo 15 control module endeavour, and much much more. Impossible to see everything in one visit. Be prepared to walk, the aircraft are large and therefore quite spaced out. No food or drink allowed outside of the cafe. Totally worth it. No book, picture or documentary can do justice to the awe of seeing the scale of these engineering marvels in person. You'll wish you had more time to walk around.

There are some very old and unique planes from WWI & WWII there. A lot of history to look at and learn about. Admission is free and you can even go inside some of the planes that former US presidents used during their time in office.

Probably one of my favorite museums in the US. The docents are helpful and many are veterans that served in the armed forces and extremely knowledgeable. With the opening of the fourth hangar in recent years the exhibits go on for what feels like miles. It's easy to spend a whole day here, and I have on many occasions. The information that accompanies the aircraft is great, but don't miss the various asides with small history lessons.

We can't say enough good things about this museum. Easily the best I've visited and so massive that it's hard to see it all in one day. Plan for a long day or two shorter trips and see every exhibit!

I absolutely love this museum! Free to go in, I believe it is run by volunteers. They have so much on display and so much information. A few of the exhibits are relatively interactive and you can actually look inside the aircrafts. They also have a small piece of the Berlin Wall which I do not remember from visits when I was you get. They also added a new exhibit but unfortunately I did not have time to see it during my last visit. Will be returning soon!

This museum is absolutely massive. If you are interested in history or the military this is a great place to visit. Admission is free. Some good advice I received was to immediately walk to the back and work your way forward. Takes a long time to see everything.

Amazing Museum on par with the National Air And Space Museum.

The planes were absolutely amazing and the variety both in type and history was spectacular. besides just unique planes they also have famous planes like Boxcar the plane that dropped the bomb on Nagasaki and an array of previous Air Force One planes including the one that Johnson was sworn in on. this Museum is amazing and will be fun for old and young alike.
