Two Men and a Truck Review

Our movers were very proficient, and polite. They used care to wrap our furniture and move it out of our old house. They also were careful when moving our furniture into our new home, making sure woodwork, doors etc. were not nicked. Beds were assembled, and furniture was placed where we asked for it to be placed, even when we changed our minds a few times. A professional group who presented well!

A flawless experience! Starting with Jenna and scheduling the movers to moving day with Garrett and Austin. Definitely a 5 star experience!

Don t ever use Two Men and a Truck in Lansing, Michigan. I had Two Men and a Truck in Lansing Michigan move the contents out of my home and into a indoor, climate controlled storage facility. When I went to have my items moved out of the storage facility a year later, there were many things broken, scratched and just overall damaged. They stacked metal on wood, laid a baby grand piano on the cement floor and scratched it, stacked metal pieces on my refrigerator and washing machines. There were over 75 glasses, dishes broken, along with picture frames and other items. The moving company that moved my items out of the storage unit said it was the worst packing job they have seen in over 20 years of moving. I contacted Two Men and a Truck in the Lansing location that I used and they basically had me jump through some hoops and have not returned my latest emails or calls, even after I initially brought in photos of the horrible pack job and damaged items. The girl I showed them to agreed with me that it was a horrible job and couldn t believe it herself? This was, by far, the worst experience I have had with a company that I can remember. I will never use Two Men and a Truck again and I advise anyone to not use them. Their customer service and moving services are horrible! Made arrangements on short notice....very accommodating. My crew was courteous and conscientious. Nice job with the move.

Great job! Flexible on scheduling, I had to move the original date. Crew was careful and energetic and worked quickly and hard. Team leader advised me that I wouldn't be charged for downtime do to the lack of stair runners when they arrived. What could be sterssful was made comfortable and I would call on them again.

Will, DeMarco, and Nathan were professional and efficient and really made the moving process easy. They were very attentive to making sure our furniture was protected.

When the movers came, they were extremely professional, clean & courteous. HOWEVER, the problem I had was when I called and scheduled the move, I was NOT PUT on the schedule. When I called to ask where the movers were on the day of move, an hour and a half after their window, that is when I found out.
As it turns out, I was able to take ANOTHER day off work to get the move done before I had to close on the house that same day.
Again, I would like to compliment the gentleman that came for the move.

What a great group of guys to move us. Friendly, helpful and detail oriented. Everything went smoothly and was well planned from my first phone call through the follow up after we were done. I would trust them again for any type of move.

We have moved several times and have used various moving companies. This move was one of the most anxiety-free moves that we've made. The customer service was extraordinary, and the two movers were exceptionally professional and hard working. If in our new location (we're no longer in Michigan) we need to move again, we will call Two Men and a Truck first. Readers in the Lansing, MI, area who need to move would do well to call this company first, as well.

Amazing work from professional movers who don't just do the job, but go the extra mile to make it as enjoyable and seamless as possible. They even finished an hour and a half early saving me money! Would recommend to anyone!

Two Men and a Truck were fast, on-time and professional. I highly recommend them. It was a sub-zero day and it didn't seem to impact their moving....they unloaded our furniture carefully and with great speed.

I've used them several times, I've never had a problem. My moves have always been smooth and timely.

We have had a VERY disappointing experience with Two Men and A Truck.

We needed to move tools, shop equipment and materials located in our pole barn from our home in Mason, to our home in Traverse City. We were charged for a minimum of 6,900 pounds, although our things actually weighed around 2,000 pounds. (The movers weigh the truck before and after it is loaded.) However, that is not my major concern.

It took the company two days to come to our house, load the truck, drive to Traverse City and unload the truck. I was NOT told in advance that this move would take two days. There is nothing in the written materials that I was given nor did either of the two people I spoke with prior to the move, indicated to me that this would be the case.

I made it clear to the movers that my schedule did not permit me to stay overnight in Traverse City, and that I had made arrangements to meet someone at our Traverse City house at 1:30, assuming they would be there soon after that. They let me know that it was not likely that they would deliver our things that day, even though they knew that I left to drive and meet them there, while my husband stayed behind as they finished up loading our things.

I was angry and disappointed that I had to make arrangements for someone else to be at our house the next day when our things were delivered. Of course that person did not sign off that everything was delivered as expected and that there was no damage to any of our items, because that person would have no way of knowing what might be missing or damaged.

I spoke three times to office personnel after the move was completed. My last call was when I was sitting down to pay my Visa bill and had to again look at the fact that I spent more than $2,000.00 and that I was not a satisfied customer. I called to say that before I wrote this review, I wanted to give the company a chance to address my concerns. They assured me that there would be no compensation for overcharging me by 4,000 pounds and no notification prior to the move that it would take two days to complete - they were sorry for any inconvenience.....

Somehow I don't think this fits with Mary Ellen Sheets take on how she thinks this company is being run......

Workers were on time, polite, professional and efficient.

I would most definitely use Two Men and A Truck from Lansing Michigan!!! The movers were professional, polite, and thorough!! They set up and put my furniture pieces where I wanted them even if I needed a piece or two adjusted!! The cost was literally THOUSANDS of dollars less expensive than three other estimates!!! The mover Ronald Hall was extraordinary!!!
Two Men and A Truck is a no brainer!!!

Two Men and A Truck is an amazing company. The company and it's employees and management support local nonprofits in many ways: Financially, In Kind donation support (help with Christmas presents for foster kids and school supplies and Movers for Moms), and they provide moving services for no charge for events and other moving needs anytime they are asked! The movers are always friendly, professional and fast.

Child and Family Charities recommends Two Men and A Truck with great enthusiasm. The company is invaluable to our agency and we are "over the top" thankful for all that they do to help to fulfill our mission and vision in mid-Michigan!

If you were ever considering hiring overs... do yourself a favor and get TMAAT to help you! Much less costly than you think and will save you a ton of stress. 10/10 would recommend.

Mike and James were excellent. They were very careful, listened carefully to what I said, and followed my instructions exactly. They arrived on time and were very pleasant to talk with. I could not be more pleased.

I was very impressed with my experience with Two Men and a Truck, Lansing. The consultation was easy, and everyone I talked to in the office was kind, helpful, and professional. The movers themselves were wonderful. Jon and Granger were professional, cheerful, and careful with my stuff. I would absolutely recommend Two Men and a Truck for in-town or cross-country moves.

Nothing good to say at all. Probably the worst experience Ive ever had with a company. They have no regard for the customer. I say this after always being very happy but with other locations. Never used lansing before and it was God awful.

The move went off without a hitch. It couldn't have gone smoother. The crew arrived 10 minutes early & had everything loaded in just an hour. The move was abour 190 miles & their truck pulled in within 7 minutes of our cars. I can't speak enough about the greaat service from the guys. They were careful & all of our furniture arrived without a scratch. Great service & great Company to do business. We will certainly use them in the future.

The only fault with my entire experience with Two Men and a Truck is the survey you ask me to complete. There are not enough stars to amply describe my experience, The two gentlemen that came out were in my opinion beyond OUTSTANDING!!!!!! In other words I was extremely pleased with Two Men and a Truck.

The movers did all that they could to make our move as easy as possible. They also took precautions to make sure our items were shipped safely. We could not ask for more and will use Two Men and a Truck if needed again.

Every person at Two Men and a Truck with whom I interacted during my move was great. From the owner to the people in billing to the movers to other people I just happened to see at the offices, everyone was polite, friendly, and professional. I'm sure that their lives are as complicated as anyone's, but they sure don't bring their problems to work. Moving is stressful and it was difficult for me to leave my possessions in storage, but I'm confident that my stuff is safe with Two Men. This company has given me every reason to trust them. My only beef is with their storage system. Nobody explained to me the size of the storage crates nor the fact that I'll have to give at least 24 hours notice to get access to my belongings. I thought the storage site was the same as the office site. This could be because I misunderstood what I was told about storage or that by the time the packers/movers had loaded the truck, I was totally consumed with the conclusion that I am a hoarder in desperate need of professional help. Either way, I was bummed to learn that my stuff would be boxed and hauled away. This is a relatively minor concern.

Expertly, carefully & lovingly moved my piano at a very reasonable & competitive price -- couldn't have wished for more even from movers specializing in piano! Appreciate Two Men & A Truck's 2-hour arrival windows (vs. others' typical 4-hr. or 1/2 day estimates), their courteous, knowledgeable staff -&- professional communications both when making the reservation and during the move.

Two Men and a Truck partnered with my project Keys in the Cities to help us move 14 pianos four times each. Once from the resident/donors home to storage, from there to our artists locations and then onto city streets for anyone and everyone to play these now beautifully painted pianos. They will also be moving them off the public streets in the fall. I followed up with each location; asking the piano donors and the artists about their experience, everyone had a very positive response. Also, I was able to see our pianos in the Two Men and a Truck storage location, everything was very neat, clean and orderly. Some pianos were very large and heavy, (actually all were heavy and that why they moved them) but some were close to 800 pound monsters plus a baby grand. The guys are pro's, and I was very impressed!
I have had other companies move ours before, but after this experience I'll be calling Two Men and a Truck first every time.

I needed help to move furniture from my lower level to the upper level. The process of setting up the time for the move was simple and the price was reasonable. They showed up on time and moved the furniture without a problem. Great service!

After working with a team of movers from Two Men and a Truck in placing new furniture from a third party vendor in our student rental communities in East Lansing, I cannot begin to express my gratitude and satisfaction in working with these young adults these past few days. I wish I had gotten all of their names to mention each and every one of them in this review and am sorry that I did not. Carter, Mitch, Jacob and the rest of their team not only did an EXCELLENT job, especially considering how hot it was this week, but they did it with respect and professionalism. These young adults that I coordinated furniture placement with for two days were hard-working, caring, and respectful. Not once did I hear one of them complain about the fact that they had to remove large pieces of furniture from upper level apartments down multiple levels of stairs, then follow-up by carrying new sofas and chairs up the same stairs to the apartments. They accomplished removing and replacing fifty pieces of furniture in record time in one day with temperatures in the upper eighties. TRUE SUPERSTARS in my book! I can honestly say that I am looking forward to working with this company again in July when another shipment of furniture is scheduled for placement in our apartments. Keep up the awesome work, gals and guys! You are truly THE BEST!

I can not attest to their ability to move goods as I can not even get them to send me a quote. When I initially visited their web page I immediately received an email asking me to fill out an inventory list for a proper quote. It has been nearly three weeks at this point and I still have heard nothing back. I submitted a follow up message through their website yesterday and have not heard back from that either. I can't imagine trusting them with goods when they can't even return an email.

I had an excellent experience with Two Men and a Truck. I needed to hired out-of-state movers at the least minute, since my previous movers couldn't guarantee the delivery of my belongings for at least 7-10 days after pick-up. I called Two Men and a Truck, and one of the workers Zach was able to schedule an out-of-state move for me within a week! The movers Nick and Chris were amazing! They handled all of my items with care in terms of loading and unloading. In addition, they kept me updated on where they were on the road as we travelled from Michigan to Georgia. If you live near the Lansing area and are planning an in-state or out-of-state move, then I would highly recommend them.

Everything went perfect. The Packers did an excellent job and so did the movers. Everyone went the extra mile. Thank you.

I was CHARGED for 3 guys to come do the move when only 2 guys came!!!! THEN they did NOT have the right equipment to do the move so my gun safe was damaged in the process AND I HAD TO DO HALF OF THE WORK MYSELF in order to complete the job!!! This place is a joke, will NEVER use them again.
