Twins Community Fund: Empowering Communities through Charitable Giving
Twins Community Fund is the charitable arm of the Minnesota Twins, a Major League Baseball team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Established in 1991, Twins Community Fund has been dedicated to improving the lives of children and families throughout Twins Territory by supporting local organizations that focus on education, health and wellness, and youth baseball and softball.
At Twins Community Fund, we believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed. We understand that many children face challenges such as poverty, illness or lack of access to quality education. That's why we partner with organizations that share our vision of empowering communities through charitable giving.
Our mission is simple: to enrich local communities by providing resources and support for those who need it most. We do this by investing in programs that promote education and literacy, encourage healthy lifestyles through physical activity and nutrition initiatives, provide access to medical care for underserved populations, and foster a love for baseball among young people.
Education is one of our top priorities at Twins Community Fund. We believe that every child should have access to quality education regardless of their background or circumstances. That's why we support programs like Reading & Rookies which encourages literacy among young students by providing books and other educational resources.
We also recognize the importance of physical activity in maintaining good health. Through our Play Ball! Minnesota program we provide opportunities for kids across the state to participate in organized baseball or softball leagues regardless of their ability level or financial situation.
In addition to promoting healthy lifestyles through sports participation we also invest in initiatives aimed at improving overall health outcomes for underserved populations. Our Hope Week program partners with local hospitals to bring joy into the lives of patients battling serious illnesses while also raising awareness about important healthcare issues affecting these individuals.
Finally, as an organization rooted in baseball culture we are committed to fostering a love for America's pastime among young people throughout Twins Territory. Our Junior TC Bear program provides opportunities for kids to meet the team mascot and learn about the game of baseball while also promoting teamwork, sportsmanship and other important life skills.
