Twin Lakes Camp & Conference Center Review

My daughter is 10 years old and referred to her counselor as "glum and serious". To top it off part of the counselor's testimony was about how she thought about suicide in middle school. I do not feel this is appropriate content for 10-11 year olds. I emailed the office and it took me over a week to get a response from Jon Beight who told me he disagreed with my assertion that suicide prevent shouldn't be taught to middle schoolers and that my daughters counselor was getting sick. My daughter is just now entering her 5th grade year of school which means she is still in elementary school. She is too young for that content and it should have been disclosed to me that it would have been talked about BEFORE I had signed her up for camp! I am disappointed that my daughters first camp experience was tarnished by Twin Lakes and their lack of communication and their "sick" counselor. I doubt my daughter will ever be willing to go to another summer camp after this terrible experience!

My family has made so many great memories here. TLC&C offers year-round camps, and my family has particularly enjoyed the family camps held each summer. Think summer camp for your kids, but for the entire family. Prices are incredibly affordable for what you receive. I would give TLC&C 10 stars if I could, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a way to spend some time together as a family.

This place is an amazing place to learn about Jesus Christ. They teach you it in fun ways including challenges, and fun camp activities. The food they serve is delicious and everyone there is so nice. They have activities like paintball, ziplines, 2 lakes (hence the names) where you can fish, swim, and go boating. Other amazing activities here are Big Event where you play a game with everyone in your age group (seperated by high school, middle school, and elementary school), and it all boils down to a lesson from the Bible. Overall an amazing camp, with an amazing purpose.

This camp is a gift of God to our youth. Praise Him for the work done in the lives of 2nd - 12th graders. Worth every penny. Amazing Biblical teaching, incredible outdoor activity, delicious food and the best staff ever.

Twin Lakes is a wonderful facility with top notch personnel! I used the Carlson Center for a personal retreat week with my wife. A terrific perq for pastors!
