The Twin Cities Gateway CVB is your go-to resource for all things related to this amazing destination. As the official tourism organization for the area, we are dedicated to promoting and enhancing the visitor experience in our communities. Our team of experts is passionate about showcasing all that this region has to offer, from its rich history and culture to its natural beauty and outdoor recreation opportunities.
One of the biggest draws of the Twin Cities Gateway is its proximity to Minneapolis and St. Paul. Located just minutes from these two major cities, our communities offer easy access to world-class museums, theaters, restaurants, shopping centers, sports venues, and more. But don't let our location fool you - there's plenty to see and do right here in our own backyard!
For history buffs, we recommend exploring Anoka County's historic sites such as The Fillebrown House or The Banfill-Locke Center for Arts & Creativity which was built in 1847 by James Fillebrown who was one of Minnesota’s first settlers.
If you're looking for outdoor adventure then look no further than Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park where you can hike along miles of scenic trails or rent kayaks/canoes on Coon Creek which flows through it.
For those who love shopping there are many options including Northtown Mall in Blaine with over 100 stores including Macy’s & JCPenney; Riverdale Village Shopping Center located in Coon Rapids with over 40 stores including Target & Kohl’s; Andover Station North with Walmart Supercenter as an anchor tenant; or even Downtown Anoka where unique boutiques line Main Street.
Foodies will be delighted by the diverse culinary scene in the Twin Cities Gateway. From classic American fare to international cuisine, there's something for every taste and budget. Some of our favorite restaurants include The Tavern Grill in Blaine, which offers a wide range of dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients; The Mad Hatter Restaurant & Tea House in Anoka which is known for its delicious breakfasts and afternoon teas; or even the famous Blue Door Pub located in St. Paul where you can try their famous Juicy Lucy burger.
For those who love sports, we have plenty of options too! Catch a Minnesota Twins baseball game at Target Field or cheer on the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium. If you prefer more active pursuits, check out one of our many golf courses or hit the trails for some biking or hiking.
