The rooms here are quite expensive in relation to what you get in return. This will partly be due to a lack of competition in the immediate vicinity. Outdated interior, both the restaurant and the rooms. Staff sometimes friendly, but also very rigid. (An ordered coffee that was once entered could not be changed immediately afterwards!)
Parking behind the hotel is not well signposted.
Noisy rooms at the front because of traffic, but also at the back because of the huge flock of crows in the trees.

Due to its location in relation to the traffic intersection, walking routes and large terrace, it will remain busy here. Nevertheless, the owner can sometimes freshen up and make it more atmospheric.

Reception was ok friendly but no more. Room I found wonderfully not very large but for me everything I need. The bed is a bit soft I personally like that. Had dinner at the restaurant in the evening, was very tasty and staff were friendly and kept a close eye on whether everything was satisfactory. Very satisfied!

Very friendly and extremely affordable. We got an upgrade of the room because we had had a tough trip and we encountered some setbacks with another overnight stay, which we canceled immediately. Glad we chose the Brinkhotel Zuidlaren. We will advise anyone who goes to this region to stay here!

Just hotel with friendly staff. Good beds and a spacious clean room with balcony. Neat bathroom with shower. Cozy brasserie with good menu and good food. Breakfast buffet with more than enough choice. The only downside was the coffee machine at the breakfast buffet. The taste of the coffee (cappuccino) was fine, it only came very lukewarm from the machine.

This hotel is definitely recommended.

The room was neat and clean and the gentleman at the desk was friendly. But that was also the only positive.
The staff were nothing short of unfriendly and curt.
The room was very warm and there was no window to open. Only the door to the communal patio, but that is not very convenient at night. So ventilation is practically impossible and that is important in this corona time. The mattresses have had their best time. Coffee and tea in the room is 1 cup p.p.Breakfast was reasonable but we were a bit disappointed

Good hotel. 3 * plus. Restaurant good too but not a la carte. Rooms clean and tidy. Too bad no fridge in the room this time. Nice walks and trips by bike or by car in the area. Assen and Groningen nearby. Assen do not do on Sundays. Simply extinct city center. Groningen is also pleasant on Sundays.

Nice hotel at the (horse) market in the middle of the village. Fine rooms, a bit noisy, but it never hurts to bring earplugs if you sleep elsewhere.
Nice large and sheltered terrace, shed that can be closed off for bicycles and not a large breakfast and that is too expensive at the hotel: the AH is around the corner.

In itself a good hotel but the parking is very bad. I still ask myself how I can drive on this terrain ... There is also no lighting so take my flashlight with me is my advice.
It is very good to eat! You will also be helped nicely.

Terrible Hotel!

Terrible Hotel!
Bad amenities, rooms smelly and for a night out you can even better go to the McDonnalds.

Great hotel, spacious room with good beds and nice bathroom. Breakfast is good as well as the restaurant. Staff is friendly and helpful. No air conditioning, but so often you don't need that in the Netherlands.

Excellent price / quality ratio. Upon arrival, kindly received by the reception, (almost) all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms excellent, clean bed and clean bathroom, and a "fantastic" breakfast!

The welcome was warm. The room not very big. The bathroom on the other hand was fine. The weather was very hot and we overlooked the courtyard. Fortunately, the window could open completely. But then you heard very loud, the extraction / cooling of the hotel. That was less pleasant to sleep with. The beds were fine and there was an extra pillow. Unfortunately there was smoking downstairs in the courtyard and that smoke came through the open window into the bedroom. I find that very unpleasant.

Nice old hotel, the beer tasted fine but unfortunately the waiters were too busy with setting tables for the evening so nobody came to take our lunch wish. Then not and on to another restaurant

Beautiful hotel, nice rooms with (small) TV. Also a second floor (with the large rooms) with 2 beds. The shower was also in the upstairs room and the toilet. There was also a sink and a bathtub. Not very big but provided in everything. The hotel itself was cozy, with a nice restaurant but expensive.

Some old-fashioned hotel with very friendly service. Neat, clean room. Excellent, very extensive breakfast. Zuidlaren is a pleasant village in a beautiful setting. Very suitable for cycling and walking.

Brinkhotel is located in one of the best places in Zuidlaren.
It has an authentic look.
As the name suggests you have a nice view of the green in Zuidlaren.
The hotel is crowded during the Zuidlaardermarkt.
The rest of the year it is fairly quiet there.

Booked hotel a few months ago. Nevertheless, in words from the staff, we received "the room that we actually only rent if there is no other room left". Room 221. A horrible room. Window could not stay open, so with 30 degrees outside terribly hot, because there was also no air conditioning. The bathroom was pre-war, the spiders were running in the corners and the roof was sloping, which prevented the shower from standing upright. In addition, the room was very small with a French bed as "double bed". The photos on booking.com are extremely misleading. Our room did not resemble this at all. This room should never be rented, even if no other room is available. It's ridiculous that we had to pay for this! The unhelpful staff did not improve the situation either. It will be clear, we will never return.
