Opening night was delightful for all my friends I brought from Florida
They loved it.
Some dialogue was muddled and lost but not enough to lessen the experience.

Beautiful and captivating performance of early Ohio history.

Loved the feeling of an outdoor drama, meeting all the cast afterward, and the set

I would have gave it a 5 star except the ol batal axe during intermission was going on and on about people looking at there phones during intermission and how if they got caught with phone on during the show she would have them thrown out. Felt like we were being talked to like people are spoken to in prison.

Shocked and appalled to discover this theatre's use of brown face in their productions. Blatant disrespect and racism to Native Americans and POC.

Very fascinating story. Cast and crew are outstanding. At this amphitheater you do other shows also. Last night Trumpet of the land tonight they are doing the Wizard of Oz and I have tickets for that. Planning on coming back in October for Dracula

Disappointed and appalled by the yearly tradition of painting your actors brown to depict them as another race that has suffered enough in this country. It is not wise to give your actors the tools to be harmful, ignorant blatantly disrespectful. Steer clear of minstrel work.

Amazing outdoor theatre experience! Beautifully written script. Fun to see every couple of years as the cast changes from summer to summer. Gift shop and concession stand on property. There is a small hill to walk up from the parking lot and handicapped parking is available. The backstage tour adds a lot to the experience.

Trumpet in the Land is absolutely amazing! You can clearly see and hear the actors. The actors themselves are extremely good! I totally forgot myself at this performance! It is superb.

Good shows, could use better seats, can be uncomfortable.

Very entertaining and historically accurate as well. The gunfire (blanks, of course) is VERY LOUD! Might be upsetting to small children.

Voices need to be amplified. No horse scenes as advertised. Overall, could not understand over 75% of dialog. Acting was also just so so . Good seating but would not recommend. We were really looking forward to this - sorry!

The price was fair, the plot and acting was not as strong as tecumseh. I will say that others really enjoyed the performance but it was more of a musical so was not of major interest to me.

Third show this year I've attended. Such a wonderful theater and so much talent!

This is great, family entertainment. It tells the story of pacifistic Moravians settling the Tuscarawas River Valley in Ohio during the Revolutionary war and the conflict that arises when they won't take sides.

The production is well done. Performances by many of the actors were strong and the harmonies of the music were well attuned, particularly the hymns.

Saw the Dracula play, was ok, only saw a little over half due to a rain out... hopefully it gets better after that. What we saw of it was nowhere near as good as Trumpet in the Land.

Racists who encourage the usage of blackface on white people to get around the fact they can t properly cast actors of color to depict characters of their own race. Deeply disappointing venue.

Went and saw Dracula. Great experience loved being in the outdoor amphitheater.

What a an amazing production! The friends that took us have been going yearly for 45 years and never tire of it. It lasted about 2 and a half hours. What a story and what rich history that gives us pause and a reminder that God was indeed there at the inception of our country.

Wonderful outdoor amphitheatre producing many shows during the summer season. Historical drama at it's best

It's a beautiful production of a tragic story. What a great way to keep Ohio's history alive.

Enjoyed learning about this part of history. People need to realize that it would be difficult to gather enough Native American actors to play the parts that the white actors perform. This has not been for just entertainment and that makes the difference. It would be wrong if it was just for the purpose of making fun of that race.

This theatre hires white actors and costumes them in brown face to portray Native American roles. This is racist and should never be considered an acceptable practice in the theatre.

Trumpet in the Land s repeated usage of white actors in red face during their annual production of Trumpet in the Land is unacceptable and needs to be shut down immediately. There is no place for minstrelsy in the modern American theatre. This kind of blatant racism will not be tolerated.

Such a great outdoor theater with a phenomenal headlining show. Trumpet in the Land tells the tragic story of the original Ohio settlement of Schoenbrunn and the Delaware Indian tribe who converted to the Moravian Church. The cast and crew do a fantastic job year after year.

The backstage tour is also a good learning experience on the different aspects of the production.

Excellent outdoor drama! A must see when in the area!
