The instructors don't even teach. Most of them don't do lectures or anything and just expect you to read and learn on your own. What am I paying the school for then?

Just graduated(AKA Finally had commencement). Love that they still were able to include the class of 2020!
I love the TMCC campus, it's a little hard to navigate where I'm going but I'm going to try hard to remember where everything is.
Always kind and helpful. The college is a true reflection of what education is about for the students.
It was awful 18 years ago. Nobody ever knew anything, couldn't or wouldn't help, hurry up and wait for something that never gets done and constant changing of criteria to make sure you always grasp, but never reach the desired goal. I really loved how they said, "You took this 2 years ago, I see you did very well, but you have to take the class, again even though you got an "A" it doesn't count." It's such a scam. I wanted to see if anything changed..... NOPE. I only called for simple answers, last month, numerous attempts time and time again for communication, same vicious cycle. I was considering a class. I have no faith in this school. I deterred my kids and will advise others to do the same. Good luck in finding something much better.
TMCC gave me an opportunity to prove myself after being a terrible student in high school and not being able to get into any 4 year university. I worked hard to get good grades and figure out what I wanted, and transferred credits to UNLV after two years. Fast forward 15 years and I have since completed my BS at UNLV and MBA at a top 30 university. Not everyone has the resources to succeed, and while TMCC isn't fancy, it set me on the right path to make the most of my life and exceed my greatest expectations at a time when no one else was willing to give me a shot. For this I am grateful, and I enjoyed my experience here.
TMCC is a great option for people who can't afford UNR. There are some amazing teachers here, and there is much I can say positively about this school. I would just avoid doing student jobs here in some spheres, there is an emphasis on politics and they don't encourage students to grow.
I got an email address associated with TMCC when I attended back in 2011. I was told then it was free and I could keep it. Yesterday without notice, they disabled it. I have used that email for 8 years and have important info on that account. When I asked if I could transfer it over to my Google account, they told me only if I applied and was accepted as a student at TMCC again. I am done with school and I dont need to go back. Now I'm unable to contact anyone to get this resolved. All lines of communication have fallen silent!
