We were disappointed that the vessel stayed in one small area, circling around rather than heading out into the open ocean as we had hoped. The captain was friendly and outgoing, but his strategy for dolphin sightings was frustrating. He seemed overly focused on showing the dolphins on the port side, immediately turning the boat whenever dolphins appeared there, even if they were visible on the starboard side. This meant we missed out on filming them from our angle, a tactic other passengers on the Tripshock tour also noticed and found disappointing. Despite our best efforts to enjoy the moment, we probably wouldn’t book this specific excursion again.

Since there are so many spots with that name, it’s easy to make a mistake, but we got stuck with it. We called customer support to see if we could switch the voucher to the location where we actually were, but the reps were curt and unhelpful, refusing to make the change. In the end, we lost the $30 we paid for the voucher and still had to pay out of pocket to join the tour we were on.
