Portland State was and is a stellar place for Education. Highly reccommend having highschoolers go through PCC if they are interested in Education. That way they can get an Early Childhood Degree at one of a few colleges that are Nationally Accredited with the National Association of Early Young Children. Then transferring to Portland State to do the Child and Family Studies Program. You can work in Early Ed while you get your degree!

Boston and Bay Area offer great schools but my most enjoyable academic experience was right here at PSU. A fine school in a marvelous city in a fabulous state. It doesn't get better than this.

Lazy, horrible customer service at every level. Counselors regularly give out wrong information. One counselors told me I needed 4 credits to graduate when I needed 8 and had to delay my graduation. Instructors are just plain lazy. One accidentally gave me a 0 on an assignment despite turning it and receiving an A (only once I noticed did they fix it). Another professor had scheduled a study session before a final only to not show up without any notice, wasting my time as I wait around for them to never show up. These are just a few of many examples. Save yourself the headache and avoid this school at all costs.
