I've been using this cleaners for over 7 years. They always do a good job and are sweet. I've never been rude or abrasive to them so I can't relate to the other reviews. They've gotten countless wine stains, blood, ink, and oil out of my ysl dresses, celine blazers, and jeans. I trust them with my best stuff and they've always been honest if something just isn't going to come out. They even removed red wine from a month ago out of a white crepe dress. I was fully convinced it was the end of the dress and they managed to salvage it. My bf always uses them for his black label suits, ysl shirts, and gucci jeans and they continue to impress us. I've used other cleaners in the area and my clothes came back with a chemical smell. Here they always come back fresh. They only accept cash and prices are competitive. When it comes to dry cleaning they are the best in my book.
Best dry cleaning in Albany. I've been to so many other places in Albany and Towne is by far the best. I had a stick of gum that was melted inside of my back pocket and they were able to get it out. Shirts come out nice and crispy and smell great. They really go the extra mile here. My suits and shirts come out absolutely perfect. I will be using them for years to come.
I came into this dry cleaner last week days before an important trip I was making. My clothes came out lovely! The customer service was stellar, and my clothes were clean and crisp. Thank you so much!
I've had only great experiences here! I plan to drop something off really soon actually
I have been using Towne Cleaners for a little over five years now. Truthfully, I ve had nothing but a positive experience. They do an exceptional job and their prices are very reasonable.
A bunch of racist white folks who get intimidated by the pressence of minorities. Went to check their prices and services since they fail to provide that over the phone and we were met with ann who was very nasty with us and kept telling us of the varies cameras around the room. We were allowed by ann to stay in the room for a while longer to wait for our uber (it was cold out) since their services didnt suit us and her co-worker proceeds to yell at us to get out. We we re very calm and tried to explain to him that his co-worker let us stay and he proceeded to yell and be rude as we were CALMLY leaving and said that OUR people needed to learn some manners. Pathetic and racist. Wish i could give them no stars.
They are somehow connected with the laundromat next door which is a disgusting business that treats people with no respect and like criminals. The actual dry cleaner service was awful as the suit did not come out fresh as expected and the clothing was the same as I first submitted it
Small family business. Friendly service. I was very satisfied and will be taking all my future business here. Only drawback was that they are cash only.
Been using this dry cleaners for nearly 10 years. They are always honest and upfront about the work they can do. I m so messy and I always have stains on my clothes haha and 90% of the time they are able to help me out. They even got red wine out of a white crepe ysl dress which I thought was destroyed. Prices are competitive but the clothes come out beautiful and they never have that gross dry cleaning smell which I m told means the cleaning solvent is dirty. They use eco friendly machines here and the manager norm has been with the store for nearly 30 years. He will tell you straight if you out of luck on a stained garment or if he thinks he can work magic. They also do fluff and fold laundry services. Overall great place, consistent and so friendly.
If you want bad customer service, this is the place to go. Don t bother trying to figure out when you need to pick up your dry cleaners because the man will tell you to speak as if you re a dog. The woman behind the counter lacks the manners that parents would teach their children. I m not entirely sure what side they woke up on the bed, but they were the most rude people I ve ever encountered. Now, if I was aggravated and impolite then yes, their reactions are necessary, but it wasn t. I m not entirely sure how they are still in business.
Great place! Always super clean and they do great work! Best in Albany! :)
Super nice people and great price for drop off laundry service. She always tells me how many pounds my stuff is when I drop off and calls me when clothes is ready. Thanks to a mishap I once had 93 pounds of clothes mostly covered in cat pee, and they took care of it!
Dismissed me immediately when they told me they don t do sewing, they had an attitude and I wouldn t recommend. Bad customer service. They seem racist
I absolutely love this cleaners. I have dropped my laundry off here and it was weighed ahead of time and it was a really good price and my clothes were folded neatly and for being in a bag they were not wrinkled at all. I always bring my items that I want dry cleaned there and they r very prompt and again the price is very reasonable. The owners are extremely nice and I am gonna continue to do business with them. The laundromat that they own next door is the cleanest laundromat that I have ever been in and every machine works. The plus side is there is no one just hanging out in there. They really take pride in there business.
For drop off laundry, they don t tell you the weight before you are billed. When you pick it up, they told me my order was 30 pounds when it was clearly a LOT less. Rip off and scam.
Also they have a sign telling you to give them 5 stars to get 5 dollars off, clearly they need to earn the stars the honest way. Shady business.
Used this place a few times over the last three years. Recently they shrunk one of favorite shirts beyond the point where it could be worn again. Did not respond in a friendly way when I pointed this out!
Expect high prices that are not posted online. This place would have a difficult time competing outside of Albany.
I went in to drop off several suits for dry cleaning and to do laundry at the laundromat that they own next door. I carried an arm full of suits to the dry cleaning desk and had a decent interaction with the woman there, although the price she quoted was higher than the ones listed on the wall. For the record, it was about $100 in services for my dry cleaning alone.
Before I went to get the rest of my laundry from my car, I entered the laundromat to get quarters for the laundry I was about to do. As I left, I was greeted by the front desk woman from next door who proceeded to accuse me of stealing from them for taking quarters and leaving. While, I can understand while this would be an issue for a small business, should wouldn't consider any other explanation other than I was a thief.
At that point I was offended by her accusation and I told her I would like my dry cleaning back and will take it somewhere else.
Back next door, the owner who had sent her over to talk to me also proceeded to call me a liar and a thief for stealing from his customers. Apparently they don't consider people using their dry cleaning services as customers nor do they understand what stealing means, as I had used a change machine to exchange dollar bills for quarters.
This I was my first (and last) experience with Towne. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if this is how their "customers" are treated.
