Town Hall Seattle Review

I called to ask if I could return one of the two tickets that I had bought for an event. The person on the phone told me that someone would call me back later. The next day I got a message saying that both of my tickets had been refunded. When I called back they gave me a ticket for free. So, I came away pretty happy.

Great event space with helpful staff who are available! Rumor has it they will be remodeling soon.

Was here for a concert. Wonderful location. Large venue, yet it felt intimate. Didnt see parking.

One of the best things about living in Seattle is being able to attend the great programming at Town Hall. A treasure.

The newly renovated hall is beautiful. The acoustics are quite good. We just attended the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra's first concert in the reopened Town Hall. They were great.

Lots of great events that are free! Gorgeous space that seeks to build and help the community.

Nice venue keeps things intimate in this former church. There are a lot of obstructed views in the theater though.

Fabulous night with Ijioma Oluwo at Town Hall. Unity event put on by rhe Office of Civil Rights. Awards for 3 community leaders. Super chill event, wonderful appetizers before performances by Josephine Howell and others. Super chill inclusive and welcoming environment...and it was noticeably different as I have been to many events there. Remodel looks great too. Still ongoing construction on the outside so parking was a bit of a challenge.

Good place to be on top of nowadays situations in the community or choose your are of interest from many presentations and event they have there. Parking may be an issue as anywhere else in Seattle. Arrive earlier if the event is scheduled during the busy hours.

Venue for lectures and meetings. Newly refurbished improved acoustics and sound system.

Accessibility is great except for uneven lighting and heavy doors. It's got a chair lift for interior stairs. Scheduling interpreters for an event was a breeze. Coffee counter is wheelchair accessible.

lovely venue with a variety of educational events from across disciplines. I love the "feel" of it, with it's wooden church pews and well let stage, which fits perfectly with any of these events. typically beer wine coffee and snacks are available for a reasonable price

Newly remodeled, it's beautiful and stylish. The parking west of building is still under construction.

The preparation for Kathryn Bouton's presentation on September 15 was an embarrassment to the presenters, Ms. Bouton and Mike James and to the audience. If the intent had been a real time demonstration of the difficulties hearing impaired people endure, the presentation was a great success. Why would you put Ms. Bouton, who is profoundly deaf, on stage to answer questions with no provision for her to hear the questions?
By the very nature of the topic, the audience was largely hearing impaired folks so it was especially important that the presenters receive a bit of instruction on proper use of the microphones. The instructions on proper use of the microphones came from one of the questioners.
The Town Hall acoustics are terrible even for folks of "normal" hearing and presenters proper use of microphones is thus important for all of the audience.
As a Town Hall member, we all owe Ms. Bouton an apology; her frustration was palpable and as our guest we owed her graciousness.
Town Hall and its mission is an outstanding venue and the staff can do much better.

Great venue. Beautiful stained glass windows. Was perfect for seeing Lore podcast live. My only real criticism is pews for seating, very uncomfortable.

Great place for community events. All-gender bathrooms, good sound system, and set-up with drinks.

What a gorgeous new building. The sound carries, the seats are comfortable and cozy, and the stained glass dome is remarkable.

Had a wonderful time at the KIRO radio theater presentation of "Sorry, Wrong Number"

A friend and myself viewed a documentary on Maria Tallchief a Native American ballerina to be a prima ballerina. It was a full house. You can see some videos of her on youtube. The producers are trying to educate the public on well known female Native American women other than Pocahantas and Sacajawea, which are told inaccurately. This facility allowed this film to be shown there.

Good programming, the venue is mediocre. I never feel safe walking back to my car after attending a talk there.

The place feels a little run down but it's still a good place to visit for performances.

Wow! The remodel is amazing! The entire venue is even more spectacular than before.

Not a bad start in the house. Good acoustics. Inexpensive. They bring in the people you want to hear speak! Nice large part to park lot next door too.

The new renovation is beautiful. Town Hall staff are terrific hosts and the opportunities there are imperative and a high value to Seattle.

Nice concert hall and performance was awesome. Price was affordable and seating was nice. I would definitely come back for the next show.

Not that Town Hall was bad before, but with the remodel it s absolutely gorgeous. Town Hall also has a killer season this year that everyone should check out.
