Everyone is super nice! At the shelter they take time with you to help you pick out which cat or dog is the best fit for you. They also treat their animals very well and it's really heartwarming to see. They microchip, vaccinate, and spay/neuter all of the animals with the funds that get donated to them. I highly recommend checking them out :)

I just adopted a kitten from this agency and want to leave a review to let others know that this place is awesome! They responded to my inquiry about one of their kittens within one day. They gave me copies of my pet's complete medical history and this included some information that may have deterred some from following through. The details given to me before adopting were transparent and comprehensive. I spent weeks looking for a kitten and didn't get a fraction of the information that this rescue provided. They also explained in detail their process and polices and sent me the details electronically. I knew that I found the best source for adoption. The appointment for pickup went extremely well. Everything exactly on the mark. I brought my kitten home and noted that he was very healthy and his personality is exactly as described. They staff there are efficient, kind, thoughtful and professional. If I could give them ten stars, I certainly would. I've never been happier! They gave me a bag of cat food, couple of cans (all what my new kitten already eats) and his favorite soft, cuddly blanket!! This is THE model of a perfectly run business and I am going to recommend them to everyone I know who may be interested in adopting a pet!!
Good place to find your best friend and a cats. Trust worthy and trying to help dogs and cats fund a new home. and staff are great and oh so helpful.
We went in to check on about giving donations and found our youngest! Staff was super nice definitely were trying to find perfect and good homes.
We were interested in one cat but already had 2 others however she was sure to inform us of the health risks towards our other cats bringing home that one she maybe she wasn t a good fit!
We ended up getting a different cutie though, who fits perfectly with our family!
Very nice and friendly staff. Clean and the animals are taken very good care of. Great that they are helping so many animals. Reasonable adoption fees and in alignment with other rescues and just slightly over shelters.
I was just dropping off some food (donated) but the adoption area is clean and nicely maintained. Animals are so cute/sweet and plenty of staff around to help you find a good match.
Poor commitment to matching a dog to a home.
The only aspect that was vetted, apparently, was the payment. Now a young, large, athletic dog is in a home that doesn't provide exercise or training, and a very senior adult has had the bruises to show for it. The ARF staff were contacted before the dog came to the house, but did not verify the commitment of the adopter to do what was needed to make this a compatible and safe placement.
- If a dog needs exercise, the staff should be clear about what level of exercise is needed. A large young dog, especially an athletic breed, needs opportunities to run, go for long walks/jogs, etc. Taking the dog out to the back yard for ten minutes won't meet this need.
- Talk to the adopter about training. If ARF isn't going to offer it for the time being because of COVID, then ARF should, at a minimum, reply to phone calls or emails to provide training advice or referrals. A large, boisterous, untrained dog can be a safety hazard to people who are physically fragile.
Even if ARF isn't concerned about the people in the house, they should have performed a better vetting for the sake of the dog.
On August 28th my husband and I made a 20 hour turn around trip to this AWESOME FACILITY. We came from Surprise, Arizona to pick our new puppy. The volunteers and the staff are amazing. We got to work with Eric and Korina on this adoption, we couldn't be more impressed. Our puppies name is Athena Diamond Rose. We love her so much. The foster families that take care of the puppies do amazing also. We know ours worked on potty training with the puppy pads and Athena is doing great. She is also so smart and we start training on the 19th with her with petsmart. Thank you to everyone who was there and help with our new baby.
