Tom Cat Bakery Reviews

Tom Cat Bakery has the most delicious brioche hot dog and hamburger buns. It elevates your barbecue food and an added benefit is that is made with no chemicals or preservatives of any kind. The breads are baked daily and it is the best bread in New York.

This is a Huge commercial bakery, Not open to the public. They supply numerous businesses with a large variety of breads and rolls etc. The production areas are nearly spotless and sanitary conditions are a top priority there. They take up a whole city block, and if safety and sanitary conditions didn't prohibit it - could probably do a nice side business of Bakery tours.

The Best breads ever at Bonelle pastry shop I buy the bread there. My favorite is cranberry with nuts and also the French bread too

Great baguettes, sadly no visitor center / local shop here. The smells are enticing though.

the 5-star rating is for the huge sourdough bolle that is sold quartered at Balducci's in Scarsdale and Greenwich. Sadly, they started thin-slicing the loaves which ruins it for me. Then they started carrying another brand of sourdough that I threw out. I can't speak for any other products Tomcat makes because I wouldn't know where to buy them in Westchester County. Too bad the bakery doesn't put their own name on the label..I had to corner a couple of people at the store and keep asking until they finally told me. Like all good things that come to an end, great stuff seemingly gets discontinued there, at Whole Foods and at Trader Joe's with the constant refrain..."it's not selling so well!! I can't help but believe a competitor might be involved in greasing someone's hand, because it makes no sense. Conspiracy theory...MY BAD!

Their bread is sold in Cafasso's Fairway and I love it, especially Michel boule. Its crust is not burned like in most other bakeries and is actually edible, even tasty.

The great people who create the products that result in Tom Cat's wonderful reviews ARE GREAT!
