TLI - Transco Lines, Inc. Review

Amazing company. Hands down best for Lease purchase/teams. They are always ready and willing to help. I highly recommend this company. Awesome pay. Great home time. Never had any issues.

This company is very unorganized and extremely unethical. First their training was suppose to last 3 days, but do to the DIRECTOR OF SAFETY LAURA WOLFE being soooo unorganized that didn t happen!! The guys had to check out of the room on the 3rd day and take all their belongings with them to training room, just to find out hours later that they would be there another day, with no explanation as to why!! So a situation happen where a driver had to get back home ( keep in mind he was originally told he would be there for 2 1/2 days) to take care of personal business matter with his attorney and when he advised LAURA WOLFE of this she automatically assumed he was a criminal. Not sure if it s because he is black ( I have my reason for saying this) but, because he would not tell her what business he had to attend and why he had to speak to his attorney she advised him to leave. Now keep in mind they rented a car for him to get to Arkansas and he was suppose to pick up a truck and drive it back (which he also found out the trucks was already at the location) So he was responsible for getting himself back home. That speaks volume about her as a person and the company integrity. Do you really want you or your loved ones working for a company like this. If they did it to him they will do to you as well. They don t care about you and your only as good as you are worth to them!!! There is absolutely no excuse for LAURA WOLFE behavior!! She should be ashamed of herself, but again it s the trucking industry right!!!!

No one ever leaves the good reviews about companies! Remember you only read their side but there is always 2 sides. The bad reviews on here is so different from our experience we have had with TLI. My husband has worked for several trucking companies (trust me there is some really awful ones) and Transco Lines has definitely been the best he has worked for! If you are willing to work they will do you good. No company is perfect and will mess up but give them a chance to fix it before you just walking away ;). Good pay and home time! (he is a owner operator/lease purchase for TLI for almost a year now)

Only leaving this reveiw cause I needed the address.The dispachers were cool enough, But this place place couldent seem to get the pay right with me. Was told i would start at .52 cpm, to 50 to, to we cant pay you more than .48 cpm. Later started giving me 450 to 580 mile runs daile and it was only after I decided to leave that they gave me decent mile. But my mind was set.

They have done everything that they said they would I am an owner of lots of trucks leased through them they are the best

Me and my wife have been working here for almost a year and absolutely love this company. I understand most people who are happy with a company or a job never post the good, you just get to see the mad people post bad things on their own experience. As with equipment I don't understand how the trucks could be so trashed if the oldest truck is only 3 yrs old...Just bad drivers in them first who don't care about the equipment and mess them up for future drivers...how is that the company's fault?

Tli is best company. They never make you down once you at TLI . When they says miles means miles you are running and making good money.
Each and every person who work at the office no matter who they feel you as a family member.
You're welcome to the office all the time .

Recently transitioned to this company! It was a great experience. Everyone was great from the recruiter to management. Am on a dedicated route & it is great. Also great pay. Recommend this company to drivers looking for a good reliable company.

My team partner and I are lease purchasing and have only been here 1 month. It seems as though everything we ve been told coming in the door has been a lie. From having two full weeks free of no truck payments; to running great miles. Last week our settlement was only $40 after paying our bills concerning the truck. Every week, we as a team run about 3,500 miles total, and we find ourselves sitting because of shortage of runs. We ve reached out to several people about dedicated accounts because we see they re hiring for them on various websites. However, we ve been trying to get on a dedicated account since we ve been here, and we re constantly being lied to and given the run around. There s a 2. plus star rating for a reason, heed the reviews and don t waste your time! I guess they save their best accounts for those of their choosing. Other than that, you could do better as a company driver somewhere elsewhere!!!

they hire you as a regional driver from your state to another state but don't tell you that you're just a middle man for the otr drivers. You take loads that otr doesn't want and you do live unloads and loads so that the otr drivers don't run out of hours but what about your hours? I drove for them for a month and only got 2,000 miles one week and the other weeks I was averaging between 600 and 1100 miles a week how can you feed a family on that? I hate sitting and wasting time this company just doesn't keep their promises at all and the dispatchers argue with you about everything like you're a rookie just getting on the road when they're behind a desk and you're the one driving.

I m living my best life since I have been working for Transco Lines Inc. known as TLI. Great Pay and benefits. Sign on bonuses are the best. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends.

Horrible horrible company. They fire their employees on the word of crooked people without getting the side of the driver. What kind of company doesn't even get the truth before firing their drivers? Especially a veteran that has a wife at home suffering from cancer?! Horrible horrible people.

This company made me go through they're entire orientation to jus send me home claiming I didn't participate in orientation enough because I was going to the restroom to much I had the stomach flu and was throwing up allot guess they would have rather me throw up in the classroom sent me home even after I passed the driving,backing and all the written test and I have a clean CSA/PSP record and clean driving record no violations at all I was working for Southern Refrigerated Transport with a trainer I have 22yrs experience and didn't need to be with a trainer and they bugged me to get off the truck so I got off in Little Rock and started orientation all for nothing but a long bus ride back to Arizona with no money to eat or drink on this company may be for some people but my experience with them was horrible the instructor Kim had an issue with me from the minute I met her never got a warning or anything about going to the restroom it came time for them to issue our trucks and a girl from safety came and got me took me to her office and told me I didn't participate in orientation enough and I was going home she didn't want to hear it I had the stomach flu and was throwing up allot so with that said don't quit the job you have to go to this company stay where you are or you could be in this situation.......12/15/2017

Doesn t seem like anyone knows how to tell time.. I m having to seat for hours on almost every load, you can t get good miles sitting.. you deliver a load at 9 am then the next load is 3 hours away that s getting there 12ish to 1 pm but they have your appointment at 4 to 5 pm so you get to seat and wait.. then you don t have any time left on your clock to get anywhere

Also as a broker worst experience i did have with Brandi and Brandon. Had good experience with other dispatchers but after those 2 TLI's image fall down so bad. False accusing (even when you put screen shot as a fact they still arguing and ignoring) , unprofessional, ignorant, lairs. And forget about detention with them :) Also should explain them what is after hours line is because obviously they do not know that.

I have been been with Transco Lines over 2 years now and they have delivered on every promise. I am especially gratetful to our amazing dispatch team for the hard work they do to get us the miles and home time we want. I also had my share of problems with this company they have such beaytiful patriotic colored trucks. They are a bunch of liars and crooks truck dicers need to stick together. When you are in a bad company and quit let others know. This company lied from tje moment they opened their mouths and if you are leasing you get a penalrg of -1400 or more. Bunch of crooks i toufht it was a walk away lease. Anybody looking to lease from this liars and thieves go somewhere else. Promise things that they don't keep. Take lumper fees and physical fees out of you check. Let you go cause they don't have loads out of the area that you live in. Very piss poor Fleet Manager and load planners. Think of their self and not the drivers. Top management needs to get their heads out of back side and start think more of there driver's and driver's family. Very piss piss poor family oriented

Lots of changes in last 6 months. It is getting better here. TLI is not for everyone. It s great for those of us who are tired of running 48 states. I get aggravated with them. They get aggravated with me as well. I ve had my fair share of problems but Bradley is easy to talk to and gets most problems fixed in a timely manor. My only real complaint is it pays short miles. If they would pay practical miles I might would rate them a 5 Star Carrier.

I've been with TLI for just over 3 years, and it's been a great experience.
I enjoy working with the staff and the other drivers. TLI dispatchers are great at communicating with the drivers.

broke down 5 times in 6 weeks . the last week was broke down for 5 days. Had to argue about every penny layover pay detention pay and breakdown pay . Then they didn't want to return my deposits they took out of my pay for load locks. In 18 years since I started driving , this is hands down no even close, not only the worst ive worked for but I ahvent even heard of one this bad stay far away. you will regret it.

stay away,dishonest company ,they promise you the world just to keep your truck and when you provide them with exceptional service they pointing fingers to each other and do everything possible and impossible for them not pay you .

These people will lie to your face. Stay away from this company. The recruiters tell you one thing then lie to cover their own ass. They are by far the SHADIEST company I've ever seen. They will be hearing from my lawyer on a Defamation of character lawsuit. THEY ARE A POS COMPANY.

Miles promised not given no-one will answer phones day or night can't get a hold of no-one. Still waiting on about 800.00 dollars. Will promise you stuff that Will not happen. Went on paid vacation while on vacation my co driver went to the doctors and was put on medical leave, so I went on personal leave then when it was time for me to back to work I was informed by Steven who is one of the driver mangers there that I would have to wait until they found another team driver for me called every day and then I was informed that I quit when I did not and I had to reapply for a job there.... Do Not Work Here they will lie to you and never get you home on time Plus you will never receive your sign on bonus...

My husband and I have been Team Drivers with TLI since November of 2019. The experience here has been awesome! Communication is key and once you communicate what you need with your Recruiter, Driver Manager, Payroll, Human Resources, Maintenance, etc., they will do their best to get it done and in a timely manner! Need more miles? They give more miles! My Driver Manager and his team are top notch! We would definitely recommend Transco Lines!

They will call you on your time off and harrass you.... I have a new DM for about 2 weeks named Jose... I've been running this particular dedicated way before he started ... Never picked up late and never delivered late except 1 time which was because fed ex canceled the load... They then made us run off our route then got us back on our route w/o us getting out 34hr reset which caused us to pickup late that one time... So now I'm on my 34 at home as usual the DM called me and said we not good enough to run this load... I have every BOL since I've been here and every load number and every bill stamped and dated... Not one was late... The reason he said this is because I took off a week to see my daughter graduate but I have pictures of the QC and date that I asked for this time off and the date it was approved.... Now remind y'all my DM I've only been working with for 2 weeks and I've been there almost a year... Thus company it's they way or no way... They only do dedicated and his words out of his mouth was basically... We offering you otr or if we don't take that they was going to fire us for nothing.... Like I said I have every bill stamped, time & dated since me and my first team partner started until now... Also have text messages and phone calls where the call non stop on my 34hr reset, and I have text messages from this new DM... Not only that every bonus I earned was always paid late and thats on the check stubs to prove it along with my contract I first signed.... This is not a pleasant company at all... If you need time off or have an emergency and you are on a dedicated they will take you off that dedicated because they don't have no other drivers to rotate and help... Except the time that me and my co driver had to come off our dedicated to help (which I have records of that to) listen to these reviews .... Everything is correct and came from drivers.... Except the one recruiter below which was my recruiter ... Which is the only person who goes out her way and help you ....I been here almost a year and was promised a new truck still haven't gotten it... Every truck you get into it have 600000+ miles on it... Mine is almost 700000 miles... You have to get your pm done on your 34 hr reset which is illegal, (I have proof of that & they still force you to take your run even if you didn't complete your 34) anything wrong with the truck you have to do it on your time off or 34hr reset

Do not drive for this company I have been here for a year and I had my toe amputated do to the blood flow in my legs I was a lease purchase driver there and talking to my fleet manager prior they took opond there self to repo my truck without a phone call now with leg I got to go get my stuff out my truck this is a terrible place to work.

I worked for this company for 3 months. I thought it would be great. I was wrong, nice trucks but that is about it. The Big Denton / Dallas @#$% Up!
Trying to find an empty trailer can be a B@#$. They don't have enough trailers. No trailers at Peterbuilt or the other lot...Go to Dallas FT W, none there go to the other side of Dallas at rush hour. None there either, oh we will wait until morning. I got sick of sitting in truck stops waiting to unload 2 days, and then back to the same truck stop to wait another day for a load..Too many times 4 this boy. I stayed out 4 weeks at a time, was cheated on my time off. I made appointments for the dentist / Dr. and gave them a week and a half to make it happen, it didn't. They said F You go take that load..I said F you right back and took the POS back to Little Rock. I was not impressed and of course now have another FD Up company I have to put down for work history, I look like a job jumper..Thanks TLI & a Big F You too! I give them 2 stars because they do have nice trucks! My last check with this company was $435 for the week, yes of course the result of sitting waiting to unload or load. It was happening too often 4 me! As if this weren't enough, I got sick of swapping loads, sure it happens but I was growing very tired of swapping my load with another driver in of course a packed truck stop, I hated it. I couldn't handle the stress of the job, a lot of that falls back on me, but if things would have ran smother it wouldn't have been so stressful. I do admit to having issues with stress, and if you do to, avoid TLI.

TLI is by far the one of the worst companies in the Industry. If you want to ruin your financial goal for the year. Waist your time with TLI. Trust me, It will be next year before you recover the lost of money and time.. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. They make their drivers feel lower than a Ant. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY

This place is horrible....they dont get you home when they are supposed to...my husband's dispatcher is the absolute worse...she does not communicate with my husband ..she will only answer by text and doesn't tell him if a load has cancelled after he has already almost made it there and spent half his fuel getting there...then when he called Al the vice president he was absolute no help and told my husband he didnt have time to take care of the problem he had a motorcycle ride to get to.... ....then dispatch got worse...he put his 10 day notice in and it's not getting any better from.there...dont waste your time on this company they are not even getting him enough miles to make his truck payment that he is leasing from them which is supposed to be a walk away lease...you would think a trucking company would take care of thier drivers but this one DOES NOT AND DOES NOT CARE!!!!

Not a good company at all. If they have to guarantee you miles it is a sure sign your not going to get them. As all companies that promise this they will always find a reason for you not to qualify. I have not got the guarantee or the miles from sitting to either loading unloading or waiting for a load. Trucks are trashed out. Don't waste your time here look elsewhere.

Everything was good in the beginning with this company great pay and good miles then all of a sudden they changed how I was getting paid .46-.52 cpm to $1050 every week don t matter the miles I drive each week it was a set pay. Just stay away from the CH Robinson account it s straight bull

Negative reviews I saw were all from driver's who did not qualify to drive for TLI, too many jobs, way too many CSA/PSP violations etc. accidents not listed and/or disclosed, and so on.
Happy driver's don't have time to surf the internet posting their negativity for the world to see because they are busy working and loving their job! No company is perfect, no company is without fault, we are very family oriented and Terry Wallace is one of the greatest men I have ever had the pleasure of working for, he cares about all of his drivers and shows that on a day to day basis.

Well I can say being a fleet owner and being in this business for years I thought this company was decent. Well I was completely wrong that's for sure. Reita and Beverly T are the only two here with any decency or respect. When there are issues you would think,after multiple calls and emails someone would respond besides a load planner. I have two drivers here
One with 30 years the other with 10 and both have been treated like garbage. As for me no different because when you call out the issues and there is a spin of justification from them that speaks volumes. The fluff and puff is at orientation then its back to the games. First of all they pay cheap rates, however with the miles it might work out unless as in this case they come up with bs excuses why the truck didn't make money. Pulling fuel out of the air and assigning to a load, the list goes on. Another example - driver ran 3500 miles

Makes nothing? All I can say further is use your head and go to a company that you will actually get paid . Experienced drivers and people in business should not go through this.

Mega carrier than this place. Extreme failure on their part in communication, problem solving and overall management from top to bottom. When the Vp ignores a call as well that says a lot. Its a shame a company with decent equipment treats the drivers and owners like school aged children. On a final note, when you have to request settlement sheets- huge red flag, and of course that dept.
Ignores the email as well. Typical when you're hiding things.

When all you see is 1star rating in a trucking company in its a reviews and talk to drivers on the road and hear nothing but complaint after complaint what makes you think?? So I had to try and give a call. Talk about a hoax. Recruiters made me laugh .. we will give you all the miles you want. Lol sounds like no miles. But when you see people posting a 5 star and review saying 1 star is grain of salt that person is either a kiss ass or a I'll bend over for anyone in the company. For example just scroll 2 spots down. Sounds like this company trying to push slot of dirt under the rug. C'mon drivers wake up do your research better......

TODAY, this company just posted an ad in Craigslist Los Angeles, CA and their TOLL FREE NUMBER is DISCONNECTED !!! I called the number from the Craigslist link five times (in disbelief) just to be sure I was hearing the message correctly !!! I Googled the company in order to locate the correct number... First of all, if you have to search for the correct number due to the number in the ad being disconnected then that s a RED FLAG ALREADY !!! Also, they confessed in their ad that they re NOT perfect. REALLY ??....

So, the Reviews populated for this company when I Googled it, and as I read through the reviews (THANK GOD I DID !!!) this company sounds EXACTLY LIKE WESTERN EXPRESS (I m a former driver with Western) !!! DRIVERS BEWARE !!! It s companies like these that need to be shut down and to NEVER recover !!! They ll tell you all kinds of BS to get you in, BUT you DON T find out it s BS until AFTER you re hired which wastes your precious time. And in trucking, you ll learn VERY QUICKLY that TIME IS MONEY, and ALL MONEY AIN T GOOD MONEY (where you make good money, but the company wants you to drive illegally for it - YOU LOSE, NOT them !!!). However, Western Express will show you their BS right from the gate, LOL !!! Well... What can I say ?? I was desperate trying to re-enter the trucking field, coming from a three year break, due to an injury I suffered from a previous employer.

That particular company put me in damaged equipment (in which they refused to fix from a previous driver) and caused me to slip and fall on the broken steps of the truck, my right foot went straight into the gaping hole near the bottom step !!! I was still holding on, but the impact from the slip injured my right foot and my back. Despite the fact that I have a lot of trucking experience, most companies wouldn t hire me due to the long break which caused me to not have recent experience.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE... Do your research, your due diligence on these companies, or you ll find yourself NOT getting ahead in life, due to job hopping, from dealing with so much BS with these low-grade trucking companies. And, don t let them reel you in just because they re dangling a shiny new truck, or fat paycheck in front of you like a carrot. Nine times out of ten, the pay may be lower in order to put you in that shiny new truck, and/or that so-called fat paycheck may cost you your license IF they re forcing you to drive illegally. Now, IF you so happen to find a trucking company that actually provides a shiny new truck with a LEGAL FAT PAYCHECK, and treat you with RESPECT, then consider yourself BLESSED of GOD because you are most definitely WINNING. Be sure to pass on that company s info so other drivers can be winning too....

I love working for TLI, very laid back company, I push myself rather than the company pushing me. I get hometime when i want it, great miles. And wonderful family atmosphere. Best company i have ever worked for.

I'm very impressed with this company and the hospitality of how they treat New Driver's, I'm excited about my new adventure and, thankful for all the good reviews that helped me make my decision, looking forward to doing well and making some great money!

Really unprofessional company. They won't give you the miles you need to make money then they charge you for not making a quota. They don't even give you the courtesy of letting you know its coming. Then they piss your drivers off and make them quit and call your drivers and offer them jobs and tell them they will get all the miles if they are Company drivers. We had 3 trucks on there and within 2 months had 3 drivers quit. Its ridiculous they are out to take your money not help you succeed.

When your driver parks like a jagoff blocking pumps at a gas station it's not gonna earn you any stars.

Requires outrageously high customs clearance costs (for Switzerland), twice as expensive as usual.

i have been working here for almost five years and this company keeps getting better and better to work for . i plan on retiring from TLI.

this is a great place to be. everybody in safety is very nice they really has your back. Lesley is very sweet person she makes sure that your taken care of. been here 2 yrs and it's been good so far.

this is bernd jorgens. melinda and i drive for transco. i looked up the reviews. so many hateful people! look we had weeks at 6000 miles as a team, we got weeks at 7000 miles as a team. our best checks before taxes were nearly 1800 each, the worst 1100, each.
we had a bad week at barely 4000 miles as well. i don't judge a company based on a weekly check.
the equipment is fantastic. fully loaded volvo 780 with everything they make for it. everything. our dispatcher is jordan. he likes to run us. wish he wouldnt send us to rescue loads as often as he does...it hurts the check. but he gives us great miles. couple days ago storms here at home took my roof nearly off at the house. told them about it, they said hey ok, call us later in the week get it taken care of. and i got roofers coming tomorrow. i don't see how people trash the place so badly. maybe it's not them ? maybe it's you ? you get kickass gear, every luxury they make for the trucks. every option. miles. you still cry ? don't be a trucker.

It was a good company for the 18 months that I ran teams, but my partner quit without notice because he fell in love. We had a st Louis to Dallas route, which paid very well. Lease options drivers complain about high fees and low pay checks. One lease purchase driver got a check for $10.00 one week! Only do company driver and teams if possible. They pay really well for that .

My wife and I just started as company drivers with Transco. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. They have done everything they have promised and more.

Their drivers suck. 127001 on the trailer just changed lanes and almost ran me into a concrete barrier. The driver flipped me off and laughed about it.

Transco Lines has been the best Trucking Company i have ever worked for and i have been in the business for 29 yrs. Dispatchers respect the drivers, get you great miles, hometime when you want it. Great equipment as well. They also have one of the best L/P programs i have come across.
Over All they are the Best of the Best!!!

I started in Feb 2018. They sent me post orientation(2.5days) about 700mi to pick up a 780 Volvo, with 654000mi on it. First load out of Dalton GA; did not exist. Waited nearly 2 days. Then had to repower a load for a team. Finally get rollin. Following week, I got left in Louisiana from Mon-Fri (34hr started at 11a on Mon). At that point, I got a load to Chicago, called dispatch, got permission to drop truck at a yard in Chicago. I walked. On my way to another company orientation, the VP of Transco-TLI called me. Heard him out. Decided to come back. Now, as of today, after exacty 7days, ive logged in 375mi. Truck has been in 2 shops in 4 days. This 2nd one, Ive been here, in motel, since Fri and its Mon.
Im not sure what to think. I know the breakdowns are not their fault, but man this just sucks. Rough start? Yep. I cant seem to get along with my DBL either.
Now, Im suppose to be in an airport 750mi from here, for a sm vacation (hometime) in 2.5days.
Im not looking to jump jobs so much, but their breakdown pay is a whopping 50.00 a day. I cant survive on that.
I want to work for them, I was a referral.. but man.

By Beaver Utah, about 3:20 pm my husband was driving our car, With 4 kids. We was 8 to 10 feet back from the cab of the truck to the left side. All of a sudden the driver pulls over into our lane. Slamming on the brakes and left off onto emergency lane . He almost killed our family. Got a photo of truck plates and side photo of Driver. Trucker needs to look in mirrors and blind spots better.

Let me start off by saying, if I could give this company negative stars I would. If you are looking for Job please do yourself a favor and keep looking. I ve been a professional Driver for 16yrs I ve seen the industry change throughout my yrs and I ve been with a lot of companies. This company here is by far the worst I ve driven for. stay away from the lease purchase it s a joke they don t even own the trucks. They will promise you miles that you won t get, as a team driver we were getting on average 3,000 to 4,000 miles a week . Now if you still decide to go there and you happen to get Steve Hanei you might as well change your address to the nearest Truck Stop because you will be sitting. Al Harrison is the biggest liar on planet earth it s his way or no way period. As far as Nicole and Haven in the Safety department were the best, very sweet, kind and patient 2 of the best. Last but not least Jennifer and Kindra would go over your settlement every week if needed be and never got an attitude always treated drivers with respect. David Edge thank you for all you did you were the only one in upper management that kept your word. Over all the company should get a -4

When you can't get an employee or Supervisor to listen and address an issue, post it for the others to listen to not go through the same. Lindsey in Accounting and Mike her Supervisor are completely inefficient, unprofessional, and incompetent in mannerism. We recently ran a load for this company, it was our first with them so I always follow up to ensure paperwork was received and payment is on it's way. I left 3 messages over 10 days and never received a call back from Accounting! When I finally spoke to Lindsey, she had no idea when I had called. She questioned why I was even calling in to check on payment. She had no idea who our Broker Agent was and told me I was being rude. I was agitated as most professional, organized, people who run their business would be. I then spoke to her Supervisor Mike who was abrupt and rude. Before hearing me out he said he'd "have a conversation with Lindsey". He is too inept to have a conversation with her because he doesn't care what the problem was. These two employees are bringing the reputation of this business down and we will not haul loads for people who don't appreciate our work.
No one keeps you at your job except yourself. If you don't like it or can't make yourself do it well, find a new one instead of putting others through your misery.

Was a ok company when first stared but after a couple months it gets bad. They only hire lease purchase to start out. If you are in the negative and your truck break down find another company because they will fire you . They don t pay there bonus they promise you and they don t pay detention or layover . They keep you at a certain amount of miles per week . Have good equipment but dispatchers talk to you any kind of way . Only way to make money is staying out 2 months at a time
