The pinnacle of consistency for me. Haven't had a bad meal here since they opened.
The pinnacle of consistency for me. Haven't had a bad meal here since they opened.
The quality of the food was mediocre at best. Our waiter, Scott, handed me straws with his bare hands which completely grossed me out because he was moving his hands on the floor trying to adjust a table just a few minutes before that. I also asked an employee there for change. His response was "I don't have change". He might as well have told me to get out of his face. Also, our shrimp plate had a hair in it once we got to the bottom of the plate. Sufficed to say, for the first time being there, I wasnt impressed and I wouldn't come back.
Great food and cocktails! Also good selection of beers on tap.My favorite restaurant in Manhattan beach!
We arrive without a reservation it was not a problem we sat down and the service began we were told about happy hour great menu by the way ! We order Brussels sprouts they are the best as we dined everyone in the place had the Brussels sprouts! The ceaser salad was delicious as well over all I would go back again and again the food was so good Salmon was great and the service was thought about I give them a 10 yes @
Food was fantastic and they have an amazing atmosphere
I secured a timely reservation for Mother's Day and when my mom and I arrived we were seated right away, my mom is elderly and didn't want to chance getting cold sitting in the quaint patio so we asked for a place inside. The host had us place at more private table inside, thanks for the quick work!
It was a set menu which offered a good variety of their breakfast and lunch fare, my mom settled on the Simmzy's burger of all things and they easily accommodated her tastes on how she liked it, plus since I sharing the large burger they presented it nicely halved.
Our meals where all enjoyed and our server was sweet and attentive, the ambiance was on the noisy side but the energy was good. I had eaten here before so I knew my mom would like it, thanks Tin Roof for a last minute reservation booking!
There is always good quality food and ambiance here.. I had the new Billionaire burger and I think it was one of the best I ever had.. well worth the extra price for the quality .
They have amazing pizza and a great fountain outside on the patio.
Roasted Brussel sprouts were a bit salty. The braised pork was delicious.
I've had client lunches here several times and highly recommend this place. Each time the food was amazing and everyone liked what they ordered. The service was efficient and the staff very friendly. We were always seated promptly and there was no rushing us at the end of the meal to leave. I will definitely retrun
Great lunch with my daughter. New to me and will return. Lovely and cozy.
One of my favorite places to eat when I visit Manhattan beach. Great lunch and dinner options. They also hosted a great dinner party for mother in law's birthday party.
Don't reserve a table here. They won't actually reserve anything and then will lie to you about the status.
We just visited this restaurant with a few friends it was about four of us on 11/6/2020. We hadn't seen each other in a while (Thanks Covid). And came here because of the outdoor seating and one of friends spoke highly of this place. To be More
This is a hidden gem! I almost passed this place up for CPK. So glad I didn't. The lobster ravioli was absolutely amazing. The MSG pizza (without sausage) was good. The apple crumble... we ordered 2. I plan on going back again. Cute little date spot.
Went in to enjoy a lunch for a party of five for lunch. Arrived a little early and told them the name the reservation was under. Actually, I sat for one hour until I got a call from one woman in the group. I asked where they were. They sat the four women on the patio with me waiting for them to arrive inside!
Never again !!
Kid friendly, great service, very attentive wait staff. Food was very delicious.
Nice location, happy hour on the patio. Tomato soup is the best!
Nice place. They have a good happy hour. The best brussel sprouts dish .
Excellent Service! Great food! Server was outstanding. Definitely recommend and I rarely post comments.
The food was amazing! Got the lobster ravioli and a "mezcal me sometime" the BlackBerry cheesecake was the best dessert I've ever tasted! Hunter was a great server. Definitely coming back
Terrific experience all around. Burgers were perfectly cooked to order, very good wine, friendly and attentive service. People working here appeared genuinely happy and collegial, so the place had that sort of relaxed and friendly vibe. Good value, too, in terms of price. Nightly special fish looked fantastic, will try it next time
Very good restaurant, friendly welcome, fair prices, too far from France ....
There is a server Ryan who was fantastic. Interacted well with myself and all the families sitting in our area and the family with kids. I will recommend The Tin Roof to all at Tesla and SpaceX and in my area. Thank you
Love the food, service and atmosphere. I visit every time I'm in town
Delicious and great service... brussel sprouts and MSG pizza my personal favorites
The food is very authentic delicious and fascinating.
This is a great little place. Lots of charm, good service very good food nice ambience.
Had a really good time, good food, great atmosphere.
Went here for dinner on a Thursday evening.
Terrible service and teamwork by staff. The waiter Scott seemed to be in his own world as did every other employee . I shouldn't have to hunt down my waiter for something or wait 15 min intervals until someone comes to us. He didn't even make eye contact with us and also didn't make eye contact with the table because my drink was empty for half the meal and nobody felt like getting me a refill or nobody saw it. He brought food to the table as did others and nobody noticed to ask or get me a refill? I finally asked myself. The refill came with my desert. This place had good reviews so I'm guessing this was an isolated incident because they were a little busy but that's what separates good from great We really felt neglected, as if the larger group guests were more important. There's no reason why my head should be swiveling for 10 min looking for someone and everyone walks past without asking if we're fine and helping other tables. I was literally staring down every employee with a plaid shirt, even a guy that probably wasn't an employee because he gave me a odd look. We were 2 people. Maybe the larger groups were more important. Food was good though and came out really fast.
I was even pissed at the tip principle. The people that are not waiters that just bring food came to our table more than the waiter. I tipped because it's a societal norm but my check was 70+. So roughly 12 bucks. For what?... I don't understand. I should have gotten tipped for having to deal with this experience.
All I have the power of is the review. Lol
Not going back though.
Great entrees and sandwiches for lunch. The main dining room can get a little noisy. Try the brussels sprouts, they are amazing!
We visited Tin Roof on Saturday and had what I would consider the BEST service I have ever had in my life. I don't hand out compliments too often and this is my very first review to ever be written by me, Tin Roof exceeded my expectations. I had been here a while ago for parties and been pleased with the food. We ordered the buffalo sauce shrimp app, Brussels sprouts app, salmon main, lobster ravioli main, strawberry rhubarb crisp, a beer and a cocktail. Everything was unique in taste, perfect temperature and it's just impossible to say enough about the service. The manager, Mike, checked in with us regularly and the waiter was beyond attentive and polite. I will be going here again and recommending friends as well. Who knows, maybe our next birthday will take place here as well!
Great food and great service. Very busy for lunch and dinner. Call ahead for reservation if you can.
What an outstanding night of food & fun! We went on a Tues night and live entertainment was occurring in the outdoor eating experience. First the food. Everything we ordered on point from the appertizers roasted brussel sprouts & chacouderie (sp) board to the salad (generous portion) to the meals. Beef frieas (sliced beef), braised beef tips (off the chart) and pastas were great. The Wagu beef burger ( Billionaire Burger) was not what I was hoping for. Flavor was okay but super salty seasoning and a little dry. Rhubarb and apple cobbler is a must for dessert. Definately go but suggest you get a reservation. Walk up may be wait without.
The food was good, the service was good but the prices I thought were a bit high for the amount of food and what the food was.
As the general contractor for the building owner (approximately 10 + years ago) we renovated this former office building into mixed use (retail & office). Tin Roof Bistro, Susie Cakes, the Wine Store, RPM Mortgage, etc....
In my opinion Tin Roof Bistro is certainly one of the premier restaurants in the Manhattan Village Mall (perhaps one the best in the southbay). Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.
Dined there last night for my husband's birthday. Our server Scott was wonderful making the evening very enjoyable. I had the steak and my husband had the beef rib. Both were delicious. The food is always very flavorful and served hot. All in all it was a delightful experience.
Great place. My wife and me enjoy it the dinner time. Great wine great food with the best service. We love it. Thank you guys.
An adorable place to go for dinner that was also reasonbly priced. Service was extremely friendly and very helpful for helping us pick out dishes. I had the short ribs with a Syrah to drink and they both were fantastic. Unfortunately don't live in LA but would love to come back here some day.
I visited with my mother when she was in town for a conference. I ordered the brussel sprouts, french onion soup and the braised short ribs. Everything was fantastic and our service was superb. We had a reservation, which I recommend, and were seated right on time. Should I be in the area again, I am definately returning.
Had a really nice dinner here. Great drink menu and our waiter was super friendly. Definitely will return.
what a cool place. another place in the Manhattan Mall. Cool (as in fun) beers and wine, tricky food and a cool vibe.
American casual, yet refined dining. The server, I wish I had caught her name, was attentive, fast, personable, etc.., based on how we were attended, I can safely assume thats how all the staff is trained. The main courses are a decent portion, and tasty. One appetizer of note: the Brussels sprouts, are to die for!
Delicious meal, great service. I highly recommend a reservation for a shorter wait. We were lucky enough to have a table at the fire pit. Would return, but not a center table.
Great food great vibes! I recommend their pizza ! Amazing !
love everything i've tried here, but the brussels sprouts and the fig and pig pizza are standouts!
We had a great time here. Another exceptional meal at Tin Roof! Tonight we had the braised short ribs for two (or three). Tender and delicious with the perfect marbling and crust. This place was always be the best and serve good food that is worth to spend of with good customer service.
Great place my waitress Anya rocked too!!! We had the Brussels sprouts, firecracker shrimp, half sandwiches with soup and salad. Everything was so good our new favorite place!
Always great...the food, the ambiance, the service...
COZY FRIENDLY INCREDIBLE WINES OUTSTAND FOOD short ribs, pizza apps my favorite!! soup and lunch Specials u cant beat!! love this Place
Fancy food with casual atmosphere. Great outdoor seating. Parking is shared with the mall which makes it hard to find parking.
Very disappointing. Fish and chips were greasy and bland, tasted a little better after adding salt, which you have to ask for. Ordered the blackberry cheesecake, after reading good reviews- lump of cream cheese, piled high with unsweetened whipped cream and a few sour blackberries on top. The crust tasted like stale graham cracker dust. The whole dessert tasted like a mound of lard. The only good thing about my dinner was the beer. Service wasn t great either. Our waiter didn t ask once how our meal was or if he can bring us anything, I had to ask for dessert. Needless to say, I will never be going back.
Beautiful ambience, and super nice employees. The bartender Jeff took great care of me as I waited for my table. The drinks were fire! And the craft beer on tap is a must. I didnt catch my servers name but she was very fast and knew the menu well. It felt like a limo ride through the whole experience. After a awesome time Zack came by to see if my wife and I enjoyed our dinners! What a awesome team here! This is a must if you are in Manhattan beach area. Oh, and the burger... let just say out of this wagu-world.
The atmosphere was amaxing. The lighting was art in itself. My cocktail was tasty. I ordered the Indian spiced spinach dip as a starter, wine braised short rib with boccolini and polenta which were superb. Because we sat and chatted we ended up ordering the tiramisu for dessert.
The place has an outdoor dining area very beautiful and fresh under the shade. Has a nice pond in the side. Staff was great food was delicious. Free valet too What you see here is the ribs
Fun place to go with a group. Our food was amazing and the service was outstanding.
We had a large group for a work lunch and the service was great!
Pros: Close to hotels
Firecracker Shrimp with avocado slaw was delicious
Amazing wine selection
Cons: Waited 40 mins to be seated
Prime rib for two with veggies was horribly salty, veggies were whole-even the onions and meat was more fat than anything
Food was not worth the price or the wait
Won t be going back
Excellent menu, drinks, staff, and back room for larger events. Mall parking can be quite challenging, especially during construction and holidays.
The food was way over salted to the pint of it not being edible. Lobster ravioli was way over cooked. My son ate 2 pieces and couldn t eat anymore. Avoid if I were you.
So good I went there two nights ina a row. Great service! I was worried because I'm currently trying to drop e few pounds a Me to diet. They were very supported accommodating my totally off menu request.
It had been years since I visited Tin Roof...yet caliber of food and service had not changed a bit. Excellent all around
Good food, good servers, but the host staff is completely incompetent. We live in the area and 3 of the last 4 times we have been there, we showed up on time with a reservation and still had to wait to be seated while there are open tables in the restaurant.
The food is good but they messed up our meal orders .
Finally the manager came to help
I absolutely loved the Thanksgiving Lunch and they were so fast and efficient getting it out for me just in time for me to leave and get to work that day. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious meal. The beef and veggies was the short rib meal and I wholeheartedly approve. The cinnamon cup was the pumpkin cheesecake, the soup was some kind of butternut squash soup. Those green balls are their famous Brussel Sprouts and they were out of this world.
