It's a GREAT place for the animals but the custome...
It's a GREAT place for the animals but the customer service and people working there are AWFUL. Absolutely terrible with customer service!!!

Awesome place. Very well kept. It was worth the 2hr drive there. Great deal on Groupon. We got half off basically.
If you like tigers (or other big cats) this is the place to go. They have many cats, bears, wolves, etc. to see here. Follow their guidelines and wear walking shoes and paths are gravel/dirt and often uneven and/or muddy. Be prepared for the smell-cat urine is pungent! Staff was not exceptionally friendly, especially the lady at the front, who questioned me about my child's age and also made a snide comment about my backpack. I would not spend the money for a return trip.
Great place to see Lions, Tigers and Bears..oh my! Also wolves and other large and small cats
Amazing place! Animals are all beautiful and well cared for. Tons of information if you ask. We will definitely be back.
This place will change your life! It is so AMAZING! I would definitely 100% recommend taking the whole family!
Great place to visit! Beautiful animals in well kept enclosures, obviously happy and healthy. Extremely pleasant and knowledgeable staff. 10/10 will be back again!
Seeing the animals up close was great.. staff was very controlling and constantly watching you and waiting for you to break one of their ten set rules/instructions..
Amazing experience. I went on a field trip here. The lion, tiger, and bears...oh my, looked like they were very much so cared for. Everyone seemed to know a lot about these animals. Definitely recommend bringing your family. Also note that these animals are generations of captive animals. They have no idea what the wild is.
Amazing people that owns and runs it. Great for family
We ve been wanting to stop by for almost a year now and finally made the trip and I m so glad we did! Despite the rain it was a wonderful adventure!! We were able to get up close and personal with all of the animals. The animals and facility were all well cared for. The staff was incredibly nice. 10/10 would recommend and will be coming back!
Loved this! Wish people hadn't ruined it so we couldnt take pictures butninunderstand why those rules are there! The animals are beautiful and you can tell they're well cared for!
Guide tour is the only way to visit ..or early lunch so you can see them eat.
Any amazing animal sanctuary with not only tigers, but lions, bears, ligers, wolves and various farm animals. Such a neat place to visit, and love how they've saved animals from various places and gave them a place to live. No pictures or videos allowed to let the animals live here in peace.
We attended a community tour of the animals and learned quite a bit about them. The animals are great and well cared for. You can easily get a sense of just how much the owner/caretaker loves these animals.
Nicest staff ever, with beautiful animals from everywhere. When feeding the animals at the beginning of the tour, we found the goat to be very greedy lol
Awesome place for family, a date, a birthday, whatever. Fantastic beasts to see and learn about. I suggest it for anyone.
Loved seeing the bears eat their fruit. The tigers and wolf's
Had a great time looking at all the animals! Worth the money and time!
After driving 4 hrs from GA to get to Decatur Al. It seemed like forever to try and find it from there, maybe GPS took me the long way. Got there at 330 p.m. and 15.00 a ticket didn't seem high to me. The next time I go I'm gonna take a private tour so I can feed the tigers. It was totally awesome ! So many different tigers and lions.
This is the most amazing sanctuary for animals. Their protection comes first and are treated with dignity. It's a beautiful place to say thanks and to appreciate G-d's most wonderful creation.
Really cool place to be close to the animals, very friendly staff
This place is amazing. I love seeing all the animals in such a beautiful setting.
This place kept coming up as a highly rated recommendation near Gadsden and I'm so glad I took my family. It was such a good experience! You really get to see all the animals up close and the tour guide was so funny. There is no video allowed & you have to wear a mask so be prepared. I only saw portable restrooms so make sure you do your business prior to coming if you wouldn't want to use what they have. The whole tour took an hour & a half and you can stick around afterwards if you want. It was only $10 per person & it was totally worth it. I personally wanted to buy souvenirs but didn't find anything that I would want so I would just suggest better quality stuff to buy.
My family and I went today. We were literally 5 feet from feeding tigers. WOW! The keepers (one was named Ryan) are very friendly and will answer any questions. My suggestion would be to follow the rules, they post them for a reason. Also, walk slow and take time to take in the beauty of these massive animals. Worth the money!!!!!
A very interesting place! We saw many animals - tigers, Lions, a grizzly & black bears, wolves, ligers, and assorted farm animals. The staff was friendly, and seemed happy to relay info about the animals. We went at a good time - got to see the big cats have "lunch". The reason for 4 stars - being a photographer, I was disappointed in not being able to take pics, though I understand why they have that policy.
Had a great time at TFT - awesome array of animals that seem extremely comfortable in their spacious living quarters. The big grizzly bear seemed especially happy with his swimming pool.
We enjoyed it but, the place is a bit small for 15 dollars per person.
So cool! Gorgeous property and amazing work they are doing! I love going back to see the animals and the progress!
We were able to walk really close to the animals. Everyone that worked there was very friendly. I already want to go back.
This place is truly amazing. You get very close to these beautiful creatures on the tour or even just walking through. You learn a lot on the tour and can take pictures though. The work and care put in by the employees is very evident and its very pleasing to see. Definitely worth visiting do not miss this extraordinary place.
Your very close to the animals. They also have a mist area for those hot days. They offer water or Gatorade but no food. Everyone should help this place and go by and see the animals.
This place is absolutely amazing! Had a blast the seeing all the beautiful big cats, bears, and wolves. Cowboy the tiger and Oz the liger are breath taking. The staff is nice and friendly and don't mind answering questions. It is the closest thing to a one on one experience with big cats and much better than views at normal zoos.
What a great place with many wild animals. Lions tigers and bears oh my. Wolves, white tigers, Grizzlies and more. Animals are very well taken care of. I highly recommend going there.
Cool to see the animals. Wish photography was allowed.
Beautiful animals in a clean environment. Spent 3 hours enjoying the animals.
What an Awesome experience! The animals are so beautiful and happy to be there. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and the tours are great! Stop by soon!
This is a very peaceful and nice place to visit and see some beautiful animals...!!
Very natural nice environment. So exciting to see wild tiger. Pay cash
Loved seeing the animals and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Not easily accessible
I've been there a few times and always enjoy it. On one of the date night tours i heard the lions start roaring as it got darker, and that was something you don't get from a book. Primal,
Really amazing spot, by far the closest I've ever gotten to big cats, bears, and other impressive predators. They do request guests wear close toed shoes so take not elf this before planning your day. They also prohibit photography. While here you'll get within a few meters of lions, black bear, grizzly, wolves, tigers, and more. Very unique perspective that's not replicated at any zoo I've been to. They always need bleach so bring them a few gallons when you go, they will appreciate it! Enjoy.
Setting all these animals gives you appreciation of how beautiful they are.
Great place to visit, you can tell that they really take good care of the animals there. Better than any zoo that I have been to.
Great family outing. Animals well cared for. So much fun!
I would take the time to go
Highly recommended
WONDERFUL sanctuary for animals, especially for tigers
Awesome place check it out! Fun for everyone in the family!
I love this place....and yes improvements can be made..but this place is NOT a corporation that makes a profit....the young men and women that work there in many cases work for nothing but the joy of being around those beautiful creatures!...so if more people would donate, more improvements could be made....I spend most my time around Yonah the grizzly bear and learning to chuff with the tigers.. ...a great place to decompress and be in awe...
It's a nice place and you're likely going to be as close to lions, tigers and bears as you're ever going to want to be. Recommended.
What a delightful surprise. I heard about this place on the Rick and Bubba radio show. We were not that far and decided to stop by. Man we were impressed. Lots of tigers and lions to see up close. If your in North East Alabama you should check this place out.
Tons of variety of tigers, lions, wolves etc. Highly recommend!
Such a great experience, I highly recommend the private tour!
Nice little day trip with the kids, only complaint is that the trail is kinda hard to navigate & it's very easy to miss stuff
Enclosures were well kept, staff was very friendly, animals were very relaxed
Took the kids they had so much fun seeing the animals enjoying the site and feeding the animals the only thing I hate is that you're not allowed to take pictures of the animals but they are beautiful creatures
Enjoyed a morning adventure wandering among the many big cats and wolves being cared for. It won't be our last trip.
My husband and I had a wonderful time. It is nice to see a local place doing everything they can to take care of these animals. The workers were nice but clearly put the animals first, which is what I like to see. That's how it should be. Just a side note, i think its so wild that people bring their small children here. I heard a small child get in trouble twice for running. This place is about saving endangered animals and rehabilitating them for various reasons.
Awesome. Within 6 feet of these magnificent animals.
It was raining the whole time but can't wait to go back
Fantastic Place! All the animals seem happy and the staff really cares about them as individual animals. Very knowledgeable about the animals they care for. Loved visiting this place! Thanks for making it handicap accessible.
Glad someone is saving these beautiful animals.
What I like:
Beautiful creatures
You can get closer than most any other zoo. I wanted to get closer enough to pet those big cats, but I do value my life more.
Biggest animal "play area" I've ever seen in a US zoo.
Animal workers really seem to care
Suggestions:
They need more signage to direct people to the park.
They need more and better signage in the park.
They suggested we ask any worker if we had any questions, but we only saw one person the whole day; an intern at the beginning of our visit and the same intern after walking the entire park... Slowly.
I will assume the lady in the ticket booth was having a bad day, so I will give her a break.
Excellent! Most active group of animals you will ever see in an environment like this. The Grizzly is very entertaining, and the Black Bear Brothers love to fight on top of their house. Clean, Safe, and friendly. One note, if you don't like porta-poties, hit the rest room before you leave civilization.
Our guide was so knowledgeable and you could really tell that he had a real love for these animals. It was awesome!
It was great. We went for my neices birthday. She got to feed a couple of tigers ( normal tour doesn't happen). Only thing negative is the porti potties. They were only at the entrance. Need to have upgraded restrooms and located more throughout area.
Unbelievable animals up close, seem to be very well cared for, a little rough terrain for walking but overall really worth seeing.
Very awesome place really worth going to enjoy ginger and many other animals.
Very nice staff. Really great place for the animals.
Athough it is always sad to see wild animals in enclosures, it good to know there are places that take them from undesirable circumstances and try to give them better life. We always enjoy our visits to TFT.
Incredible! An up close experience. Please go and support this amazing institution.
