get rid of the new management in the festival towers. Houda the manager should not be in that position. she is rude!!! impolite!!!! not helpful!!!! My dealings with the festival towers have been since day 1. The previous management was very pleasant and always very helpful. Houda has made my experience with the festival towers a very unpleasant one. As an owner of this festival tower I am not happy with her at all. Please make sure we screen our people before hiring them.

Some of the best cinematic experiences I ve ever had. You can watch films in 70mm or 35mm depending on the series. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The concessions are lower than going to a normal movie theatre (cineplex).

A really great space. It's comfortable and sophisticated at the same time. The sound in the theatre is crisp and precise, and the picture is crystal clear. And the film selection is, of course, top-notch. I highly recommend a visit!

Excellent facilities, world-class films, friendly staff, but horrible service.

If you go a few minutes before a movie to try to buy a ticket, even if you are a TIFF member and in the "special" members' line, you may find yourself stuck there for a long time, and miss the beginning of the movie.

Its much faster and more efficient at a cineplex, even though cineplex's films are not in the same league as TIFF's.

It's a shame they haven't gotten this figured out after being open for quite a few years now - why should anyone have to wait in line so long to buy tickets, let alone tiff members? Why are there not automated touch-screens available, like at Cineplex, for people to buy their films?

It feels quite archaic in 2020 having to stand in a lineup to buy a movie ticket. Just because we want to see films from the 1980s doesn't mean we want our movie-ticket-buying experience to also be from the 1980s.

one of the best places in toronto!.

one of the best places in toronto!.
It s a nice place where you can share your taste in cinema, meet people with the same tastes and learn.
I m always good to visit it.
In featival times it is clearly full of people and sometimes it is difficult to pass, but they have a very good team and help to cope with all possible events so in that way we have good experiences both in the movies and on the red carpets.
my all-time favourite here in Canada.

A staple for me while I lived in Toronto and whenever I come back to visit. They play great films during the film festival and all year round. The building is great and the theaters are spacious.

A very elegant and comfortable place to watch particularly thought provoking movies or classic ones from varying decades. Excellent place for a fulfilling (date) night. The staff is lovely. Some films have featured presentations such as film discussions, interviews with cast members or film critiques. All in all, a great place for film lovers. As well, a true gem in the city supporting Arts & Culture in the film industry.

Significantly decreased the amount of visits to cineplex. As a lover of movies, it's great to go to a theatre to watch a movie (old or new) with other movie lovers. The entire audience is respectful and I have NEVER heard a phone go off or seen a phone screen turn on during a movie. Also no "Sally seat kickers" and the like ;)

Nice building. There are some great featured films here during the year. I have never purchased food here, it's probably expensive. There are lots of places to eat right across the road, and there is convenient underground parking. Not hard to get to from the highway.

This one of those places you bring someone to watch something off the main stream path. Take someone whose opinions you value and discuss what you've seen, it's intimate enough to feel personal.

Great place to experience independent filmmakers' work, which is a very valuable and exciting part of our local and national culture. A great facility for a very comfortable and enjoyable viewing experience.

Great place to see films you generally won't see a wide release locally. The screens and projection are are still well calibrated offering a sharp and vibrant picture. On the other hand, the seating arrangements aren't great not enough incline between rows, tight horizontal space, and the cup holders are awkwardly low.

Nice theater but multiple lines to finally get into the theater showing your movie. Most places you buy a ticket, get it scanned and go to your screen. Here always two lines to get in before entering the theater with your screening. Long way to washroom.

Disappointing. Got there for the show - didn't have lunch so we could enjoy popcorn and a drink. Concession CLOSED because of a function in another auditorium on the floor. No need to have closed it, other than snotty discrimination.

The best theatre of all time. The film library for classic and Canadian films is amazing. The screen rooms are amazing. Super comfortable seating. Great concession and gift shop.

Studio Ghibli exhibition is AMAZING when it's on. Their special events are great and their featured director areas are great and change regularly.

Regular showings tend to lean on the more art-house ecclectic side so I wouldn't recommend looking for a blockbuster here if not during festival.
