We were there for Toronto doors open 2018. It's one of the worst doors open if not the worst one. Absolutely nothing to see except one small room to talk about some history stuff. What a shame.

My favourite theatre in Toronto to watch films.
State-of-the-art cinemas, I ve watched them walk industry people around to show them all of the features.
Snacks are delicious, staff are always friendly and courteous.
Film selections are top notch. The best art house films and world cinema, as well as having spectacular specials events and retrospectives.
The most comfortable chairs in movie theater in the city. Located in a nice building with restaurant and bar. You'll want to go back.
Food and drinks are too expensive. Bought a small bottle of orange juice for 4$.
Great place for actors and anyone who wants to watch local performers. watching New and upcoming actors inspires me to Persue my goals and ambitions.
I don't know if I'd want to spend thirty dollars on a small bag of popcorn again but other than that the whole experience was amazing!
Great cinema! Good program, loads of classics to discover on the big screen.
The theatre is really nice. It's downtown and parking is limited but side streets generally have spots if you don't mind walking a few minutes. The theatre itself has food options and the staff are really nice. My one complaint is that the movie volume is too loud. I'm all for loud movies but it was extreme when we went last time. At some points I looked around and literally 1/3 of the theatre was plugging their ears.
Love this venue. It s so large and airy. I ve been before and enjoyed the show and food and drink. Will come again.
Great theatre with unique showing and a few options for drinks and food
Love the lightbox and their varied programming. A real Toronto treasure.
The theaters here are so welcoming at TIFF. I saw two movies that day in different cinemas. The smaller one was especially comfortable. The sound was amazing and the view from the seats was impeccable. The larger cinema had more of an angle to the seating but equally great sound. We saw the quiet place. And let me tell you everyone in the theater was very quiet and respectful. No one kicking my seats no one talking loudly and disrupting my enjoyment of the movies. If every experience at TIFF is like this then it is worth the extra price on the tickets.
Top films, friendly staff, way better than their website.
Bell Tiff lightbox is a fantastic venue to see movies and for the echibitions they put on
Support not for profit film presenters. Rad place to cinema, old and new. Food is adjacent and the theatres are cozy and well tempered for presentation. Theatre snacks are a little pricey.
The cultural significance of this theater is truly the pride of Toronto, and one that showcase great films that would otherwise be lost in a sea of box office marketable garbage.
Ambient, subdued decor. Not nearly as much pretentious as I expected. Relatively affordable food and drinks. Excellent theatre speakers.
Fantastic selection of films and amazing travelling exhibits. I once caught a glimpse of 2001: A Space Odyssey projected using a well archived 60mm print and it was fantastic.
Well worth a visit!
Absolutely one of my favourite parts of this whole city. They play movies that you don't get to see anywhere else if you can't make it to Cannes, and the prices are reasonable.
I love being a member. The lounge always has free snacks and coffee and tea. I like to go early to movies so that I can spend half hour beforehand there.
I love that they play classics from directors like Kubrick because I get to see movies I didn't get to see on the big screen originally!
I love how engaged they are with the community. They always have family friendly exhibits. I love when they have special events because the atmosphere is so welcoming.
I also found some rare books that are super expensive on Amazon very decently priced in their store.
Great home for the Film Festival. Great to see any film there. Wonderful Theatres, state of the art equipment. Helpful attendants.
The TIFF Bell Lightbox is a must go location for Toronto film fans. This venue hosts several different film festivals and special events throughout the year. Beverages such as wine and beer are available to drink within the theatre. Visited with a friend for the annual Inside Out film festival. The Inside Out film festival is an annual LGBT focused event that runs annually from the end of May to the start of July, marking what many locals consider the unofficial start to Pride month. A fun event, hosted at a great venue.
How Yorkville got screwed for the Film Festival by Condo Developers Daniel's Corporation.
We're so fortunate to live in a city that offers spaces like this to foster the arts and the talent behind them
Went for a screening, dirty 3D glasses and a small screen. Real disappointing.
This is a nice cinema with loys of independent films shown here.
I have attended numerous work events there. Good venue.
Beautiful building, vibrant area, spacious/comfortable theatre seating--a great cinema experience all around! Close to lots of bars, pubs, clubs and shops so if you miss out on your movie and have to catch a later showing, there's no shortage of things to do to fill in the time.
never keep your phone in your lap here. Once mine slipped through my legs and slid right into the seat hinge and destroyed my phone. Also they decided to start charging for Cinematheque programs and so my 18 years of collecting them has ended.
An amazing environment, great service and clean facility, close to many restaurants and shops.
TIFF - The Hollywood of North America. The Entertainment District.
I don't think I've ever been so intrigued by the commercials (previews) before a movie in my life. I actually watched all of them closely. The main movie was also super interesting. I wish the screens were bigger but this isn't IMAX so fine.
WHY CAN'T ALL POPCORN COMBOS COST THIS MUCH. The main reason I don't watch more movies in theatre is when popcorn costs more then 2 upgraded tickets you can just F right off (that means you Cineplex theatres).
But here we are, a magical place where the movies are hella interesting and the popcorn costs about the same as a fast food combo.
Bravo Lightbox, I'll be coming back.
Great place to see documentaries, amazing selection of features and shorts
Great venue! Comfy seats and best of all...good movies.
Went for a script reading as part of jFL42. Loved the facility and the seating. Staff were friendly and efficient. Line handling was a bit strange but it worked.
Love going here. We saw a movie and had the theatre to ourselves less maybe 5 or 6 people. Service is always with a smile!
Toronto International Film Festival! 7th year! Cameron Bailey is the best!
Great great theater. It has friendly staff and a great atmosphere. If this theater is playing a movie you'd like to see I highly recommend you go here.
A great exploration for any film buff or casual movie goer
Went for the Ferrero Roche event. Lovely staff, the new chocolates are incredible good. They are selling the box with 42 units for 20$ of new luxury collection. Worth the visit.
Very comfortable movie theatre with comfortable seating, good quality audio-visuals and descent concession stands.
This the way movies are supposed to be shown. Some current films that are harder to find elsewhere, plus wonderful programming of classics and retrospectives. Check out the upcoming listings.
Beautiful theatre, comfortable seats. Hot docs is awesome
The best cinema experience in Toronto. The space is gorgeous with comfortable seats, and for a meal before or after the show, Luma and Canteen are excellent. During the Toronto International Film Festival it is simply the place to be in the city.
