I usually go there for espresso. It has a hippy, relaxed but kind of fancy atmosphere, some small plates and fancy deserts.
If you are in town it's worth going, even if just for people watching

Hard enough to have both brioche and beer in the same place, harder even to do both well. Three Forks ends up being surprisingly good at everything it does even when it feels weird to be ordering nest eggs at the same time as a beer flight. Definitely on the short list of things you must do while in Nevada City.

The beer is awesome and super affordable, but the pizza is absolute trash. It sounded amazing, but turned out to be a really bad pepperoni pizza that somehow managed to be sour. So do go for the beer, but Do Not eat the pizza.

Food is always great. This go around we had a beer braised beef sandwich and a sausage pizza with a late and a couple of pints(lager and Baltic Porter) The beer is nothing less than delicious. I always try to make a stop in when we come to town.

Delicious farm to table food. It's not your average menu so don't expect a classic burger & fries but even if the menu is too exciting for your taste you can get a delicious slice of fresh baked sourdough with butter. Simple but amazing. We love this place.

Good service, good food, and good beer. Locally sourced and fresh with an ever changing menu around a core concept, it's hard not to only eat here when in Nevada City. I don't normally eat the crust of pizza, but I do. Get the pizza or anything else, you won't be disappointed.

I was recently in Nevada City for a retreat and I made a point of coming to Three Forks Bakery almost every day. I love fruit pie, and theirs is amazing. They sell it by the slice, thank goodness, because I can't be trusted with an entire pie. I like their Ginger cookies, too. My only disappointment was on Sunday, my last day in the area. I arrived, braving the long lines, eager for berry or apple pie, and pretty much all they had were handmade croissants. People were very enthusiastic about their croissants, and they are well known for their Sunday croissants, but it's just not my thing. The only pie they had was chocolate cream pie. No fruit pie. They didn't even have Ginger cookies, though they did have chocolate chip. Sadly, I left empty handed.

The beer flight and choices were very good, including the Two Rivers Cider; however, the food was disappointing and over-priced for what we received. Where was the lettuce with the beet salad? I've had wonderful beet salads this fall elsewhere, with LETTUCE. When I tried to make this suggestion, afterward, that people might enjoy that, the girl was ignoring me, and rude. Get off your high-horse, people! Also, the burger pic looked delish, but unfortunately it wasn't on the menu! The bacon-cheddar sandwich was disappointing-small, two pieces of wheat bread, some bacon, and I didn't taste any cheese. You would have starved. For $13, very disappointing. I've had a better time and food there in the past. The baked items and desserts looked delish, however.

(Vegan Review)

Great quality food made with good intentions... But, completely unconcerned with providing the same quality and nutrition to vegans.

They say they can make many items vegan, but what that means is that they can remove 1/2 the ingredients and replace then with nothing leaving you with 1/2 the meal, 1/2 the nutrition, for 100% of the price. They offer no vegan protein sources and no cheese alternatives.

They claim it's because they don't believe in soy or processed foods, yet they could make in-house local nut cheeses, bean-based burgers, and any of the other thousands of whole foods clean vegan options that are only one Google search away.

They are either uninformed or simply don't actually want to serve vegans.

If you are vegan, you will be disappointed.

Just keep walking around town and you will good several other restaurants with the same awesome commitment to quality AND plenty of vegan options. You and your meat eating friends will be happy!

Enjoyed the food and beer. Disappointed by the wait staff demanding one of our group not to stand outside of the patio rather than politely asking. It was very rude for our first visit to the brewery from out of town.

After eating their sourdough crust brick oven pizza, no other pizza cuts it for me. Awesome breads, baked in the brick oven with the residual heat from the pizza cooking the night before. The beers turned me into a wannabe connoisseur, and made me like stouts and porters for the first time. They have a higher commitment to local, sustainable sourcing than any restaurant I've ever heard of. Most places say "we use organic ingredients whenever possible," or something along those lines but if you ask them to get specific it turns out whenever possible means about 20-30% of the time. I've heard it's in the high high nineties at Three Forks. Even though the BLT is their most popular sandwich, they don't serve it in the winter because there aren't any local tomatoes. The opening of this place transformed my whole relationship with the town because now I always know there will be extraordinarily clean food at a reasonable price any time of day and great loitering. And, yes, I'm a little biased because I always see my friends there. Stop googling and go already!

Came for a growler fill and a late lunch (1:45) sandwich. Both the beer (Humbug Harvest) and Sandwich (Bacon Cheddar Melt) were outstanding. Three Forks rarely disappoints, and today was no exception.

I got the BLT on focaccia and my boyfriend got the meatball sub, they both came with a side salad w/ balsamic vinaigrette and both meals were absolutely amazing. For the beer we got a mother's beach blonde and a Virginia Vienna lager and both were DELICIOUS. We kept talking about it on the way home. Outstanding greeting when we arrived, service while we were there and people who work there. Great food, great beer, great vibe. Will definitely visit again and would reccomend to anyone!!

Stop on!

Absolute favorite spot for food in Nevada City. Delicious pastries, sandwiches, salads, wood fire pizza, beer, cider and kombucha on tap, friendly staff, and they support the local farms.
