Fantastic Job. Cylinder came back in beautiful condition. Returned well before the anticipated date. Technicians were polite and called when they had questions about my service.
PSA. Remove your powervalve yourself if you wish to service it yourself. That said, mine came back spotless and well-greased. I'm sure they did a better job than I would have.

Service was top notch. Had a cylinder plated and it arrived looking better then new off the shelf. Fast turnaround on the work being done. Highly recommend them.
Cylinder looks great but ordered a piston thru them charged me (133) 33$ more than same piston thru manufacturer and charged me an additional 18 for the wrist bearing that comes with it from the manufacturer . Top end gasket kit was 63 dollars and could have got a better kit with all the parts need to do the job right for 25 then 35 for return shipping. I insured it for 500 when I sent it and it cost 16
They did a top end for my son Gabriel kx250. They cylinder was perfect when we got it back. Would have gave 5 stars but was two issues with customer service end. Had called them because they had it a month so he had missed a month of racing. After I called them it was done in three days. Second issue was they told me it had shipped. Kept checking the UPS tracking nothing was showing up except label created I called three days later to learn the package had not been shipped off yet was still at their shop. The people that work on them do an awesome job I'd give them 5 stars. Customer service I'd give them 3 stars. At least they answered the phone.
Sent 3 two stroke cylinders to them off KTM bikes and they came back perfect. The bikes are fresh and new again. Saved over a thousand off purchasing new cylinders.
I absolutely loved the work they did, it looked brand new, everything was awesome, they did it for my snowmobile that was blown up, Polaris RMK 800, with 6500 miles, I thought it was toast, untill a friend told me about millennium technologies, they loved their work as well. I will definitely send more cylinders to them for plating, so impressed! Way cheaper than a new cylinders! Talk with them, ask questions, they will help, awesome people working down their! Thanks!!!
We are a business and have had Millennium Technologies perform our machine work for the past 5 years. We have spent a lot with them and until today, I have always been pleased with their work and customer service. When you send them any parts for service, they typically come back clean and looking nearly new. They don't outline this cleaning service on estimates or invoices (usually a very brief description) but the cleaning is typically done. I am usually proud to show their work to our customers. Millennium is more costly than other machine shops on every level but the work is usually worth the extra costs. We sent in 6 Porsche heads to be surfaced for a restoration job on a 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2. A job that cost over $500, described on paper as a surface grind. The heads came back with the resurface having been done (with no indication of margin removed or margin remaining, also not my typical experience) but they were not cleaned in any way. The combustion chambers were still full of carbon and they didn't so much as clean off the metal shavings they left behind. I am attaching pics to show you. (don't pay attention to the suds, we had just sprayed them to begin the cleaning process. A process that, for the money, should have been done there. I've sent them many heads over the years and they always come back clean and presentable. When i called to find our what happened with the quality of this job, I was told on the phone I could pay extra for that if I wanted and it was only $20 per head. (very reasonable) We would have appreciated being offered this option before the heads were sent back and we would have paid for this option as it is the main reason we had chose to do business in the past. (Obviously no one is in a position to pay another $70 shipping to send them back and be cleaned)The cleaning option is usually included although not specifically outlined on your estimate or bill. For over $500 of cost it should have been included this time. Why wasn't I offered this option before they were sent back? Why is it done on every other head I've sent in. My Sales Rep. acted like he could care less about our dissatisfaction with the value we received for our dollar. Customers need more transparency on what to expect. Are Millennium Tech. sales reps not taught to offer an up sale on premium services? If your prices keep going up and the quality of your craftsmanship continues to go down we will be forced to seek other options for machine services. I am still in shock at the shape of my customers parts in relation to the fees we were charged. Premium service billed with premium rates come with expectations and this time Millennium Tech missed the mark and appears to have zero concern for the matter as a whole. They usually take pride in their work and deliver a quality service. It is clear to me that there is less effort put into Porsche services.
Ordered a cylinder and sent my core in. The core charge is $300. I was told I would get that back as soon as it was inspected. Usually within 5 days of them getting it. Once I got the new cylinder I sent the core back with delivery confirmation. It has now been a month and still no return on my core charge. They keep telling me their credit card company won't allow them to refund the money. I do not care how good the cylinder is. It is not worth $598 for one since they do not return core charges. Save your money and buy one on ebay that has been re-plated already for $150-$300. Now I get to go through the awesome process of working with my credit card fraud department. Listen to the other reviews!!! I should have but decided to take the chance.
I am extremely happy with the work they did on my cylinder, I have a 92 Suzuki rmx 250 and the cylinder had a large scratch in it it now looks like a brand new cylinder. They ran it it through the process twice because it did not meet their quality control standards the first time do it took a little longer to get it back but they were in contact with me through the entire process so I knew what was going on. There are other places that are cheaper but I will gladly pay a little extra to millennium for any work I need done in the future it is worth it to know it's done right.
I would not recommend using this shop or dealing with a company that partners with them. I had a local shop send my KDX 200 cylinder to Millenium and the experience was terrible.
-After the turnaround time had gone way past the estimate, we eventually discovered it was in part due to the fact that in addition to a simple replating job, there was a crack in the exhaust port that Millenium had to weld. This was not relayed to my local shop, and subsequently I had no idea that this was happening. I was left on the dark about extra work being done.
-When they finished the job and sent the cylinder back to my shop, it arrived on president s day and instead of attempting multiple deliveries, the UPS driver sent it all the way back to Wisconsin from California (not necessarily Millenium s fault). My shop had received a tracking number for the first delivery, but when we called to get the new one for the delivery the next week, they seemed confused and it took some prying to get the new one.
-And finally, when I received the cylinder on the second shipment, Millenium did not include the 8 screws/studs that they took off to do the plating. They simply neglected to send them back to me. We had to call and figure out where they were, delaying it another week.
Please look at the amount of one star review this company has and do yourself a favor by avoiding them.
Thanks for the quality work and fast turn around guys.
They did a good job replating my son s 07 KX-85 cylinder. We had accidentally put straight fuel in and burned up the piston and it scratched up the cylinder. They fixed and cleaned up the whole thing. I should have taken before and after pics.
Love these guys!! The work is flawless, customer service/support is sensational!! Fast turn around. I plan to do alot more work with them in the future. You should too!
The final result was excellent but I was a little disappointed in how long it took. I was told the turn around was 10 days but it ended up being 3 weeks. Also my cylinder had to be replated 3 times which i thought was excessive. When i sent the cylinder off it only cost me $16 to ship it. Then it was $37 to ship it back. When i got the cylinder back my dowel pins were missing so I had to buy new ones.
GREAT work from these folks, they had an estimate to me with in a 3 min phone call and all the info to send it off, did magnificent work and within their projected time frame, cylinder was better than new and cheaper than a new. highly recommended and will be using them again
Millennium repairs and re-plates all of our cylinders! Their standards are high and quality is unmatched in the plating business! It's unbelievable the finished product of some of the severely damaged cylinder heads we've sent them! Wouldn't recommend anyone else!
My son had a issue with his Cylinder for his YZ125 Yamaha. This company is great, I dealt with Adrian he was so so helpful, friendly and patient as I am the Mom and new to the riding stuff with my son. The prices are lower compared to a few other places we called. I would use them again.
We are putting a bike together that my grandson bought that was in pieces and in a Tote. Sending you the top half of the motor was the 1st step toward putting the Kowie 250 back on the dirt. This is his 1st bike and he is pretty excited.to be getting something to ride.
Outstanding attention to detail and a very fast turnaround. Leakdown tests on our motors equipped with Millennium Tech cylinders show excellent ring seal.
I hired Millenium Technologies to re-plate the cylinder and match a Wiseco Pro-Lite Piston for my 1997 Honda CR125R. The quality of work is excellent! All edges around the ports are chamfered nicely, the exhaust bridge is ground down for clearance, the piston is pre-drilled for exhaust bridge lubrication and clearance, and the work was completed in a timely manner. After following the Wiseco break-in procedure, I can definitely feel a significant improvement in throttle response and power delivery. Thanks!
Sent in a cylinder to get replated, could not get a valve guide for the power valve out so I left it in. When they sent my cylinder back, not only did they send me the wrong piston but did not send the guide back. Can't find the guide anywhere online. I sent the wrong piston back to them, and they sent me mine but didn't send me shipping info on it. Piston got stolen because I did not know it was delivered. I called them and they did not want to do anything about it. So I lost a $130 piston as well as a valve guide I can't buy anymore.
I was told by everyone one I called that I was just out of luck and no one could help me. I finally found millennium technology and called. They told me to send in my cylinder and they would send it back to me in 10 days. I got it back and this thing looks brand new, everything fits perfect, I couldn't be happier. I will definitely use them again in the future!
Millennium Technologies has a flawless reputation with me for repairing and replating cylinders. They do things that you wouldn t think would be possible! Everything always looks brand new when I get it back! Great service!
I had sent some vintage cylinders to M.T. and they did a beautiful job restoring them!! They were chromed cylinders originally and they recoated them and brought them up to todays standards. All pistons and cylinders were marked individually to ensure proper installation. I defiantly recommend Millennium Technologies.
Is there a no star option? sent an R1 cylinder head in for a valve job, new seals and retainers from a customers bike. sent all correct factory oem parts with the head. received the head back in a timely manor. installed head back on customers bike test rode all was good. customer brings the bike back in 3 months with no start problem. performed compression test and found 54psi.#1 85psi.#2,3 and 30psi in #4 performed leak down test and found all intake valves leaking. bore scoped intake track and found excessive carbon on valves keeping them open. flushed intake track to break down the carbon then vacuumed it out. rechecked leak down all was good also double checked valve clearance at this time and was still in spec. suggested to customer to maybe change gas station for a while. 4 months later customer calls and says bike will not start again but he has moved to the other side of the state. takes it to local shop there and same thing but worse this time. heavy carbon deposits on most of the intake valves. shop sends head to competent cylinder head shop and come to find out that all the exhaust valve seals have been installed on the intake valves. the problem is that on Yamaha R1 the valve stems are .5mm smaller on the intake valves than the exhaust valves. the 8 seals on the intake were not even touching the valve stem thus allowing oil to continuously run down the stem and burn to the back side of the intake valve building up carbon until the valve no longer sealed. the customer came back to me and said i was the reason his bike wouldn't start and was forced to pay the new shop for the same work he paid me for. gave the customer the money back for the job and am embarrassed that my vendor was not competent enough to assemble a head correctly when that is their profession!! sadly we still have to deal with them for cylinder plating but they will NEVER receive another dollar from us to do cylinder head work. LEARN FROM MY PAIN DO NOT SEND THESE PEOPLE YOUR CYLINDER HEAD!!! LJ
I have purchased from Millennium Technologies several times, customer service and communications have always been great, they are very knowledgeable and quick with getting what you need, everything I have received from them has been spot on have never had an issue, I highly recommend them for any builds you may have.
Great service - excellent communication, fantastic workmanship, and quick turnaround time!! A pleasure to do business with! I will be sending all of my cylinders here going forward. Thank you!
Rodney, Chris & Jeff are always friendly & happy to compose an estimate for repair on the cylinders & cylinder heads our company sends them for repairs. The work is performed in a timely manner and they always keep us informed on progress, completion and shipment. The work is always done as promised. Thank you for making it so easy!!!!
We have used Millenium Technologies for all our cylinder plating needs since 2013. Their standard to produce high quality end results have never let us down.
Absolutely pumped on how the guys did with replating my cylinder. I have a 02 cr250 build that became alot of fun trying to find parts for (insert sarcasm) when I found out my cylinder was all scarred up from years of neglect I was having a hell of a time trying to find a new cylinder. These guys made my life a whole easier and I notice more power from bike!
Did a great job of replating my cylinder for my KTM 5640 LC4 - and then when I was concerned I'd damaged it after running my bike with a failed oil circuit - they cleaned and inspected it for free. Great customer service.
I did a swap on a kx85 Cylinder with them. Great People, awesome service, fast turn around! Would recommend them to anyone needing re-plating or head work!
Spoke with customer service, answered all my questions. He even help me have a few bucks on my order. They arrived as scheduled. They cylinders i orders where like new. Will recommend they guys to my friends.
Excellent customer service! They took the time to go over the service and each of the charges. The crank came back looking awesome and like brand new! Awesome job!
Took 4 weeks for my cylinder to be repaired the gasket set they sent was for the wrong year bike so I had to go out and by more gasket . Workmanship looks good just bummed on how long the turnaround time was and the incorrect gaskets
The guys at millennium are great with communication and high quality work. Definitely my go to shop for cylinder repair whether its new coatings or welding broken exhaust bridges
I can't figure out how to upload the pictures but they did an amazing job on a 99 yz250 I'm currently rebuilding. Will definitely keep doing business with them.
Staff was very helpful in getting my cylinder block replated. The end result is flawless. Haven't had the engine running yet, but I'm sure the plating won't be a potential for concern.
This was my first time ever needing a 2 stroke cylinder needing the nikasil repaired. I chose to use the cylinder exchange program and it was seemless. Talked to a very knowledgeable and polite person and in less than 15 min I had a new fresh cylinder coming my way. Thats the way business should be done. Thanks guys.
Great workmanship and a really good value. I sent a friends custom ported kx250f head to these guys for valve seat repair and the end result is really good. Precision work and a job well done. Price came in under the estimate. Time wasnt too bad considering I am not their only customer they are servicing. Highly recommended.
Terrible experience I will never waste my time or money with there people again. Talked to these people for my bare cylinder it was supposed to be 220 to have it replated . I was charged 298 then was shipped at seventy something dollars. Add up the totals I m 400 in a used cylinder that can be purchased for 360 New with free shipping from motosport. Don t be fooled.
Wish I could give a no star review.... Shipped a 2 stroke cylinder to Millennium through my local shop. They took about 5 weeks, (2x as long as estimated) and when I got the cylinder back, while it looked nice at first glance, there were some fairly major issues. One of the head bolts was bent, not badly bent, but enough so the head would not go back on the cylinder. We theorized that someone had dropped the cylinder while working on it and the cylinder landed on one of the bolts. Another head bolt was stripped out inside the cylinder (looks like they had cross threaded it) and the piston they included with the cylinder was the wrong size, clearances were off (had to go up to a C size piston which means I am capped out, which also is a bummer). Oh, they also forgot to include the wrist pin bearing in the kit which I had paid for, so had to order one of those adding to the frustration. Not a good experience. Had a local place fix the issues because I did not want to wait another 5 to 6 weeks to have Millennium take care of it and my local guy will try to get something for the hassle and extra costs incurred. Sounds like that may be a long shot based on some of the reviews here, fingers crossed...
Have had great results with Millennium over the year. From GSX-R work, to work on our Yamaha R1 - racing at the expert and professional/MotoAmerica level. Quick turnarounds and work verified on the dyno.
After 400 hours and 6500 race and trail miles My KTM 300 piston/cylinder was .004 out of spec for new, .002 over max suggested clearance. I got great info and feedback from Millennium up front and shipped off my new piston and worn cylinder. It was returned packaged well, spotlessly clean, looking spectacular with nice cross hatch and all ports expertly chamfered, and sized at perfect clearance well ahead of projected completion date. I m impressed and pleased. It s such a pleasure to deal with this outfit. I highly recommend! Mark L
Great turn around but inspect their work once back. Exhaust side failure after 90 minutes of runtime on 2 stroke top end. They added a gasket behind my o ring seal spigot then wouldnt admit fault. $700 down the drain.
Amazing company. I work with them through my shop Rock River Power Sports and they support all our racing efforts, I can t thank them enough for all the help. From flawless product rehabilitation to speedy turn around, this company is a home run, and the only solution for all your powersports needs! Keep up the good work guys!
Excellent work from them! Customer service was great as well. Any issues that came up, they immediately called me to address them. Got a cylinder replated and it looks like a brand one.
Work and communication is top notch! I had a rod install, crank balance, cylinder nicasil and valve job done. These guys are on top of their game! Great communication. Thanks Adrian and Mike!
Other than some minor burrs on the crank journals that had to be polished out, after received, everything looked good.I will let you know further after I ride it.
I researched companies before choosing Millennium. The others stated that they were 2-3 weeks out . The salesman told me 10-12 days as indicated on their website. I ve seen mixed reviews online and from the many guys I ride/race with. I sent the head off on Sept 24th and was guaranteed an arrival to Millennium of Oct 1. I did not hear anything of its arrival from millennium. I called on Oct 7th. By coincidence, it just arrived. From there, I followed the percentage completed guide that they offer. It was at 27% for 6 days. I called again on the 21st. By coincidence, it was just completed. At this point, I know My son is going to miss the race on the 24th. To my surprise, the head arrives to me in 2 days. I am willing to let my frustration go with the process at this point. Until..... I find there is no wrist pin with the piston/ gasket kit that I purchased from Millennium. Maybe I should have gone with the honest time quotes from the competitors. I will say that the head works great so far and may try millennium again in the future. I understand things happen, but can t be fixed if not aware of the issues.
Top notch service. Recieved a quote in a matter of minutes and had my cylinder shipped off the same day. Turn around was about two weeks and the work looks excellent. Couldn't be happier!
Rodney and Adrian kept in touch with me and explained everything I wanted to know, Millennium did an amazing job on my 97 Cr500 jugg, Bore/Hone and piston match. Will be returning for future work
I sent a very rare reed valve converted, H2 750 cylinder to Millenium Technologies for a cracked fin repair and Nikasil plating repair service. I contacted Millenium a week after the cylinder had been sent to check the status (I paid extra for priority service, advertised as 3 day). The representative Rodney Heaton told me that unfortunately my cylinder had failed the QC process and would have to be re-plated and re-honed (although my account had already been charged without my knowing). When Millenium finally shipped the cylinder back to me (1 day before my race), it was completely destroyed. It appeared as if the aluminum casting and iron liner had been dissolved in some sort of acid or chemical bath. There was actually a hole eaten through the intake port, thru to the mounting stud. All of the gasket surfaces were destroyed and there were large flakes of loose plating material in the transfer ports, and the sleeve was separated from the casting. I again spoke with Rodney Heaton and he told me that the cylinder was sent to me in this condition because the powder coat that they removed had exposed the natural porosity of the aluminum. The funny thing is that the cylinder was neither painted or powder coated, or coated with anything, it was bare clean aluminum prior to shipment to Millenium. Millenium has not refunded my money, and the manager Raleigh Wood screens his calls and will not answer mine or respond to the voice mails I have left for him. Raleigh Wood will try to convince you that Millenium is a company that stands behind their products and services, but it is all politician like propaganda to keep money flowing into their pockets. I am here to tell you that there are some very dishonest people working there and they have absolutely put me in a very bad spot with my racing program. I would HIGHLY advise you to do some research about Millenium's recent quality issues before deciding to send something to them (particularly if it is rare and hard to replace). There are other very capable companies offering the same services with better customer feedback such as US Chrome and Powerseal USA. Please look into it for yourself, dis-satisfied Millenium customers are speaking up to protect you. In the photos, I have included a normal cylinder from the set so you can see the extent of damage from the chemical erosion or electrolysis.
While they answer the phone when you call it s about the only thing they are good at. Needed a top end rebuild for my ktm and they gave me 5-9 business days to fix it. With an original estimate of $260. About 4 weeks later I got part of the top end back and they charged me almost $400. When I say part they didn t include a piston which they said would be another $200. Then they proceeded to sit on the order for another week. Long story short it s been over a month and I m still waiting on them. DO NOT BUY, they offer lies and a blatant disregard for how to run a modern day business. Reviews don t lie
Sent in a couple RM cylinders for Their 144cc big bore. Took an extra 1.5 weeks because one of the two failed post plating inspection but that s the way it goes sometimes. I ve had them do many cylinders for me and I believe they are the best in the business. I m glad they do a good job of inspecting and rework it if things are not up to par. The big bore kit pricing is an outstanding value! I m Going to have an extremely happy customer towards the end of the week!!
I was very pleased with this company. Complete professionalism from the man who took the order to the work being done. The part they worked on for my Indian motorcycle is very hard to find and I wouldn t have trusted this work to just anyone. I will definitely use these guys again!
Good price, great service. Sent my 98 kx500 jug to be re-plated. Placing an order was easy, the turnaround was much faster than expected, and my cylinder looks brand new again. Would highly recommend
