First time popping into the flagship store since Covid to pick up a few treats. While it wasn't the chocolate tasting extravaganza it used to be for obvious reasons, we still had a positive socially-distanced experience.
I heard rave reviews about this place so we took a trip over this past Saturday. Maybe our expectations were too high because we were all pretty disappointed; the store has maybe 10 flavors of chocolate in bars parsed around this gigantic space to make it look like there are 70. But the sad thing is the chocolate itself - I would say it's pretty bad. From lemon, to raspberry, to coconut, to salted, it all seemed stale and waxy despite expiration dates of 2022. I know none of us will finish it.
The famous chocolatier has a quaint shop here. Get all the regular bars, holiday and seasonal specials, gift box sets, AND cocoa nibs by the pound! Also the only place to find individual chocolate truffles. Today I found these lovelies: basil ganache, walla walla onion-infused caramel, and saffron! My partner is trying the beer flavored box set. We re excited for these! I definitely recommend. You can get lots of their chocolate bars in grocery stores around Seattle and coops and natural food stores around the US, but this is the place for truffles and nibs!
I just tasted the Salted Black Licorice, and found it delicious. However, when paired with Capt Morgan Private Stock, it is exquisite. I don't know how much rum, it would take to enjoy a full bar, but I may find out! Thanks for making this!
Ooooo! The smell of rich chocolate wafted in the entire area! I was actually on an errand in the neighborhood and had found parking near by. I couldn t resist the fragrance and decided to check them out!
Their chocolate is deli-yummy-cious!! I bought a couple of boxes for friends and family and everyone liked it too! I loved the grapefruit, ginger one! I am definitely going back to try more of their chocolate! And, if you re around, stop by their shop!!
Amazing handmade chocolate. Delicious flavors. When I went I took the tour and it was totally worth it.
The team at Theo Chocolate are wonderful to work with! I assisted in ordering our corporate client holiday gifts from them this year and it was such an easy and positive experience. Not only was the process seamless, but we received rave reviews from our clients. I would definitely order from Theo Chocolate again in the future.
Best chocolate tour very informative. Already went on it 4x with all friends that visit. I insist on taking this tour. Lots of great samples, info about chocolate as well as what makes the chocolate that comes out of Theo's special. You'll find out once you do the tour.
The tours samples of latest convections are amazing. Stuff you can't get in the shop. (Which also has tons of samples of other specialty chocolates)
All in all I always go back there when family and friends want something seasonal that they have. Latest one my mother in law was extremely happy with me (brownie points with the wife) was their licorice chocolate bar.
Always some new awesome chocolate to try whenever I go about 4x a year hah.
Simply the best chocolate. Delightful to visit the flagship store to see new offerings and regular favorites. I'll never not recommend this company!
