Been going for 20+ to both shows every year. One of our best family traditions.

A super fun and reasonable priced night out. Outdoor community theatre with a great atmosphere. Have had season's tickets for the past couple of years and intend to continue. Just beware of mosquitos.
Lots of seats. Bring your own cushions and snacks. Portable potties. Good viewing area but some people prefer to bring their own lawn chairs and watch from a small hill.
I've enjoyed many TUTS shows at Malkin Bowl over the years. Recently, I saw Newsies and I loved every minute! We took the kids and they were pleasantly surprised with the experience. The new chairs are very nice. You can bring your own food and drink, which is much appreciated.
Good audio quality and fun show! We watched Disney's Newsies.
Saw The Drowsy Chaperon. Fun show in a nice location in Stanley Park near the bus terminal and a restaurant.
Love the outdoor theater, show was spectacular. Had a drink and popcorn to complete a perfect night.
Went to both Mama Mia & Newsies. One of the most relaxed and entertaining ways you can spend a summer evening. Atmosphere 5/5, Quality 4/5, Food and drinks 4/5.
I thought it was awesome. The weather was beautiful. Not a mosquito in sight. The sets and the performers were great. Trumpet player was having an off night but somehow it just added to the outdoor fun atmosphere.
Mama Mia was fantastic, so we bought tickets to Newsies as well!! This will definitely be a yearly summer treat from now on!
A wonderful venue and a great performance of Cinderella, such a talented cast and great music. Looking forward to next week when we see 42nd Street. Can't wait!
A show at Theatre Under the Stars can be a highlight of your summer. I've seen a few over the years and performances are consistently good and seating is more comfortable than it used to be. It's advisable to go early in order to find parking and walk to the Malkin Bowl. Wear clothes that will protect you from chill and mosquitoes at night. Bring water and a blanket if you can (both are available for purchase on site). Only complaint is the portable washrooms. You need to go off-site if you want to access regular public washrooms.
Amazing I've never been to a show there that I haven't loved they put so much work and passion into it
Really enjoyed the show I went to - Cinderella - and the venue was wonderful! Quaint, manicured, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, there were a lot of clean portable washrooms, and the outdoor stage was just great. If you can, bring a student ID because it drastically lowers the cost.
AMAZING! I highly recommend! The musical they presented was full of amazing talent. This was the type of show one would see in New York for 3 times the price.
Good show in a beautiful setting. Mama Mia was the show I saw with family, & the performance was well presented. Good music & acting, & I loved how they incorporated set changes within the choreography of the show quite often.
If given the opportunity, I will definitely go to see other shows at #TUTS, & I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good show outside.
My only suggestions for anyone going to watch is to bring bug spray or some other mosquito repellant, or else you might get bit, & to bring a sweater or jacket on case it gets cool later on. If you wear a skirt or dress, make sure it's a longer one, both for the same reason & in case you get cold.
Otherwise, if you enjoy a good show, go to TUTS. You can check out its website to see what's playing on any given night.
A fantastic outdoor theater venue. Easy to get you from downtown, either by #19 bus or on foot. Events are always well-staffed by volunteers, and a real effort is made with two productions every season.
