A lovely hotel, with spacious and comfy rooms. The perfect venue for a wedding, which delivers both a fun and intimate environment. The hotel also delivers a good quality and varied breakfast and large car park.

We cannot fault this little gem of a place

We cannot fault this little gem of a place
Sunday night dancing at it's best!
1). Food,,,, fantastic!
2). Accommodation,,,, luxurious!
3). Beds,,,, comfy out!
4). Breakfast,,,, 1 to die for!

But our 5 stars go out to all of those who work so hard to make it happen. They really do go out of their way to make your stay a night to remember!

And from start to finish, their people skills are second to none! I would highly recommend a stay here, its the land of a thousand welcomes !

Speaks volumes,,, what more could a girl want??

We travelled from Cork and stayed the night for country music entertainment. We went to Derek Ryan. The rooms were so comfortable and very spacious. My mom loved how big her room was. The food in the bistro was lovely and staff members were very friendly. Have been there before but not for an overnight stay. Definitely recommend it.

What a wonderful place. The service was outstanding. We had high tea the first day we were there. It was a great experience. We also enjoyed the bar. The restaurant was great for breakfast, but my dinner was entirely overcooked. They did comp the meal, but we decided not to go back for dinner the next night.
The petting zoo on the property was a nice touch. I enjoyed watching the baby lambs.
The village of Adare is minutes away. That community was so quaint and beautiful. It's a must if you go to Ireland!
I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was nice. However, there is no elevator/lift available which made access to our room on the 2nd floor difficult with luggage and a mobile restricted party member. And to top it off, the same member suffered a slight ankle injury which made stair use even more difficult. Staff was very helpful getting ice for the ankle and even offered medical assistance. The staff here was VERY NICE, VERY HELPFUL and willing to assist where they could. The place is kept immaculate. The very big problem here was when we arrived to check in the place was overrun with people who were there for a baby christening and also a wedding. Both of which started in the open lobby. Consequently customers who were there to checkin had to wade through the mass of humanity to get to the check in desks. The noise was deafening in the lobby with the harpist playing literally 5 feet away from the checking desks. A bit frustrating as a customer. And I am sure the bride did not like all the strangers muddying up her pictures. The rooms were nice, spacious and had all the needs of a foreign traveler fulfilled. But again, the staff is by far the best asset of this facility. Have breakfast in the restaurant.... delightful!! And the chef was so accommodating!!

Everything about this beautiful family run hotel was excellent. Food, staff, ambiance, cleanliness, relaxation- it was beyond many top class Irish and international hotels we have experienced. An absolute joy and one we will certainly experience again.

Stayed here during my sisters funeral, the girls couldn t do enough for us. Our room was cosy and comfortable and we felt so welcome. They even sorted out an extra nights stay for us at such short notice nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was fab and our waiter brought fresh coffee whenever we wanted it. Everyone was amazing can t wait to return under happier circumstances

This was another stop on our trip around Ireland.

This was another stop on our trip around Ireland.

Out of all the hotels that were supposedly 4-star hotels, this is probably the closest that any of the hotels came to 5-stars. The hotel is located not far from the center of Adare, and is just a kilometer off the highway. There is free parking in a parking lot, and a "petting zoo" not far from the parking lot. (Really, this is just some farm animals, but is surprisingly child-friendly) One enters the hotel from the front of the building and the decor is that of extremely elegant country sheek. There are two desks for check-in and the employees are extremely polite and pleasant to converse with. Once checked in, there is a bit of a walk to get to the rooms - as the place is a sprawling establishment - but there is a lot to be found on the way to the room: leisure centers, vending machines, beautiful atriums, etc. The rooms are delightful and truly feel like the 5-star style they are going for. They are surprisingly spacious, the water pressure is excellent, and the views from the windows cannot be beaten. At night, the rooms are wonderfully dark with the blackout curtains.

The hotel boasts its own bar and restaurant. We dined with the restaurant the first night we stayed. It was a bit of a wait to get into the restaurant, but they sit you at the bar in the meantime. Once in, it does feel cramped for such a large hotel. The staff seems overwhelmed, as they have to account for the tables and the bar, and there does not appear to be a dedicated server to the tables. (This was actually something that was odd, as we often would see one waitress and then within a minute another waitress would come and see us. It wasn't terrible, just something we are not used to.) The food, however, is delightful and the food is so hearty that one is filled up completely. They do a three-course deal, which can be highly recommended for the price and the quality of the food.

We ate elsewhere after, but frequented the bar during the remainder of our stay. The bar staff is phenomenal. They are local, energetic, and more than willing to give recommendations for things to accomplish during your stay in Adare, or wherever you are headed. The prices are comparable to a hotel bar and they have a phenomenal selection of liquor. This was a lively place to be and there is always something interesting to see or learn while here.

To compound on the the "petting zoo," the establishment is surprisingly kid-friendly. There is apparently some sort of club that the children can be a part of and a "fairy garden" for the kids to explore. This was unexpected, but will be great for those who have children and are looking for a classy establishment to stay at.

Overall: 5 / 5

Pros:
- Beautiful scenery and rooms.
- Great facilities within the hotel, including the bar.
- Free breakfast each morning, and the restaurant food is spectacular.
- Surprisingly kid-friendly.
- Centrally located.

Cons:
- Restaurant is almost always busy and lacks coordination.

NOTE:
The pillows and comforters are down pillows and down comforters. If you are allergic, simply request new ones, as they are unbelievably accommodating.

Don't go near the gym where you will be subjected to ear-splitting, ear-shattering digital diarrhoea spewed out by the speaker system; it seems that whoever devised this abysmally awful tape got their hands on the CIA torture tape used to atomise the brains of detainees in Guantanamo; the noise level is clearly in breach of EU guidelines but the staff very wisely keep the doors hermetically sealed to prevent themselves experiencing permanent hearing loss. The noise masquerades as "music" but its sheer awfulness continues effortlessly and flawlessly to plumb new depths. Maybe the manager Mr C. Fitzgerald might look into it...again, once again.
