Amazing weekend stay recently! Very comfortable bed, large room, beautiful outside with a pool. Very quiet and a beautiful getaway. Breakfast was awesome and the host was nothing less than spectacular. Will definitely be back!

I must say the Wooden Duck was a truly enjoyable experience that I would recommend to anyone interested in a B&B. The hosts were very kind, the room was clean, the decor was nice, and the breakfast was good. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that my friend and I accidentally spilled some red wine on the quilt (watch out for those steps by the bed) and the owners were extremely understanding. We communicated back and forth regarding the removal of the wine stains and they took care of it no problem without charging an additional fee for the clean up/inconvenience so A+++ for service. I would highly recommend you give this B&B a chance if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed! Thanks again for a great stay and overall great B&B experience, we will certainly be back!

The hosts are a lovely couple who are so kind and sweet. The breakfast meals were absolutely delicious and unique, even the table setting so pretty and they really made the experience upper class. The room we stayed in was very cozy and the house itself was beautiful. I came with my friend for her birthday and I can't wait to return with my husband.

Booked as a gift for our wedding. The home was beautiful, rooms amazing, breakfast and accommodations were top notch. The owners were tentive and cared only about your comfort and happiness. We will most likely be returning every year for our anniversary. I'm a highly finicky and detailed person who could not recommend this bed and breakfast more.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time here. The B&B is located in a large property far away from any main roads. The surrounding area has so much good nature - lakes, hikes, and nature walks. We were even lucky enough to spot a baby black bear one night while driving to dinner! If you're not into that, the pool is beautifully landscaped, very clean and next to several bird feeders which were enjoyable to watch. The breakfast each morning was delicious and easily customizable if we needed it to be. They are very thoughtful about COVID-19, with mask mandates in all common areas, hand sanitizer everywhere, and well-spaced out breakfast seating that you can reserve the night before. The inn as well as individual rooms are spacious and spotless. We would definitely come again!

We spent a very pleasant evening at the Wooden Duck visiting local attractions and relaxing with friends. It was a snowy night which added to the ambiance. This is a lovely inn. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and the rooms are very well appointed. Breakfast was wonderful. We joked that the only thing that would have made it better would have been a sherry or brandy at the end of the evening. We will remember to bring some on our next stay.

Very friendly and go out of their way to fill you every need. The rooms are super cozy and beautifully decorated. Great for a romantic getaway. Great restaurants in area with some places to go for a day trip. I am here on business but will have to come back with my wife. Delicious breakfast in the mornings, and if you have to run they will pack one for you.

Have had several lovely stays. Maryanne and Jason have thought of everything for a most enjoyable experience. Cozy, serene surroundings and amazingly comfortable bedding lend to a wonderful retreat in a home away from home. Highly recommend.

Excellent best service at a bed & breakfast I have ever had!

Where to begin... A secluded B&B hidden in the hills of Sussex county. The owners Jason and Maryann are wonderful hosts who do everything they can to make your stay memorable. The rooms are spotless, very well furnished and very comfortable. Plenty of antique shopping nearby and amazing restaurants to eat at, wineries to visit and Sussex county's only distillery. The breakfasts are freshly prepared each morning and full of flavor! Maryann is an amazing baker and cook. We are looking forward to visiting in the summer and spend time in the pool. If youre looking for a quiet weekend away, this is the place to go!
A note concerning covid concerns. Numerous signs, hand sanitizer everywhere and their genuine concern for their guests comfort made us feel we were as safe as being in our own home.

Our experience at The Wooden Duck was nothing short of amazing. It was our first B&B experience and I dont think we could have chosen a better one. The property and buildings are beautiful and the hospitality an utter treat. The owners worked with us regarding check-in, timing for breakfast, and were happy to make local recommendations. The whole property has a relaxing ambiance and made our visit to Newton so much richer and more enjoyable.

We stayed in the Old Squaw Room (which of course had it's own wooden Squaw inside) and was located in the annex building. The main building has very comfortable living spaces with coffee and tea available, and games, movies, and books to borrow. If I HAD to come up with a negative, the water pressure wasnt great. But I've had worse at corporate hotels, so it's not even a terrible thing!

FYI--when you approach TWD from 206, your GPS may tell you the entrance is about 60 feet further than it actually is. So be prepared to turn left before it tells you to.

Lovely area, lovely hosts and very cozy rooms. The area is quiet and calm, and overall had a great stay. The hosts were very warm and had nothing but positive interactions with them. Upon check in the common room was decorated with some fantastic festive winter decorations. Definitely an inviting area to meet other travelers(social distancing was enforced and hosts followed COVID precautions). I would definitely come back and would also recommend to anyone looking for a cozy stay.

Everything about the Wooden Duck was amazing. Their compliance with COVID protocols was easy and refreshing. The property was so well appointed and beautiful - it was breathtaking. Perfectly decorated. The hosts were so kind, friendly and accommodating that I can't wait to come back and see them. They provided us with a listing of restaurants in the area that had dine in and take out options with details that showed how much they cared about their guests. The room was so warm and comfortable with a two person soaking tub facing the fireplace, along with a separate shower and bathroom. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. And then there was breakfast - a true work of culinary art. Thank you so much - we will be back.

Didn't stay here but was able later in the evening to stop by and use their car charger for my plug in hybrid for free! Thanks a lot

This place is just AMAZING!!!! If you're in the area, you have to stay there! The rooms were impeccably maintained, the grounds are beautiful, the staff incredibly friendly, the pool was crystal clear/clean, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had in a while!

I stayed there for only one night, but it was simply fantastic.

The overall experience at the Wooden Duck was fantastic. The food and service were top-notch and there are tons of activities to do around. You can either go out to eat or there are few options that have delivery to the Inn. This is definitely a place I want to come to again and definitely a place I will refer to friends.

Once again, it was a marvelous trip. This B&B transports me to a time and place where there are no worries. It's always relaxing and serene, yet near all the major attractions. It's very comfortable and the rooms are immaculate and quaint. The price is right and the owners are always sweet and attentive. The area is lovely with nature and animals - a great retreat not too far from home. I highly recommend it.

Jason and Maryann Jerome made this experience such a comfortable, warm, and welcoming one. The Canvasback room that we stayed in was spacious and beautiful. It has all the charms of a bed and breakfast. The room has ample storage, amenities (a separate soak tub in room), and extras such as champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, and in room massage (Debbie Connolly was awesome! We chose reflexology and it was well worth it). The breakfast each morning was delicious. We would definitely be back in warm weather when the pool is open.

Our second time staying at this elegant , impeccable b&b. If you are looking for a relaxing , quiet atmosphere this is the place to go. Mary Ann and Jason are hospitable, and always around if you need anything such suggestions on the activities available around the area. Their delicious breakfast never disappoints, the pool is definitely a plus, and there are hiking trails behind their property.

We spent the weekend at this beautiful spot in order to visit family living nearby. The estate is exactly as pictured and was ideal for us! Our room was very comfortable, the grounds were lovely and the breakfast was beyond delicious! We wished we could have taken advantage of the nearby walking trails, but due to rain, we did not.

My husband and I have been staying at the Wooden Duck Inn on special occasions for over 15 years and twice under the care of Jason and Maryann Jerome. They are worthy successors to previous owners! They always greet us warmly when we arrive and go out of their way to tend to my special dietary needs. The inn itself is in a perfect spot if you love to hike with many state parks nearby. We always stay in the Pintail Room because of its large window overlooking the hilly terrain, its elevated bed, and its country decor. It feels like a second home! Also, the room is always so clean and the amenities are top notch like soft, high quality sheets and robes. In the morning, Mary Ann and Jason always have a wonderful breakfast prepared.too. We highly recommend The Wooden Duck Inn and want to thank Jason and Maryann for their warm hospitality and for going out of their way to make us feel so welcomed.

A great B&B tucked away to offer a relaxing get-a-way experience. My finance and I needed to escape and couldn't have picked a better location to do so. The owners are wonderful and so welcoming! You can tell they really pour their heart into their business and making each guests stay a warm one. The tubs in the room were amazing and perfect for unwinding after a long week at work. My favorite part was pouring a delicious cup of coffee and sitting on our room balcony enjoying the beautiful fall weather. We can't wait to come back!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Wooden Duck! We especially loved breakfast, and just how accommodating they were with our schedule (we had to be at a local airport by 9am, so they were up early and made sure we were well fed). We'll definitely be back!

The Wooden Duck is amazing! They served a three course delicious breakfast each day. After breakfast, I would sit outside on the patio and read a book that I borrowed from one of their many bookcases, and watch the birds fly around the several bird feeders. My husband and I followed a path in the backyard and ended up in a state park where we went for a small hike. We borrowed bikes from them and rode a nice path that they mapped out for us. The area some nice lakes and lots of hiking. The house had books, movies, and games to borrow. The decor was awesome - it was very sophisticated, but homey. The yard is beautiful and private. They have a beautiful pool. It feels like you are living in a forest summer home, so relaxing and comfortable. My husband and I will definitely come back!

We booked all of the Wooden Duck for our extended family for our son's wedding with ages spanning 10 to 75. Maryann and Jason were great hosts serving us delicious breakfasts, providing clean and comfortable accommodations, and making us feel at home as we hung out and visited, played board games, and celebrated. What a treat to spend quality time together in such a great setting.

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary here. Lovely place to stay on a gorgeous piece of property. I would recommend walking the trails around the property, very pretty views. The room was perfect and the owners cooked a 3 course breakfast in the morning that was absolutely delicious. 5 stars all around.. no complaints at all. Can't wait for our next stay.

My wife and I have stayed here a couple of times and we LOVE it here!! Jason and Maryann are excellent Hosts. The breakfast they provide in the morning is to die for. Eating breakfast in the spring and summer has an amazing view of the birds that come up to eat near the sliding glass door because they have a beautiful garden full of feeders. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. Summer time is awesome because you can relax in the pool and have a couple of drinks. There s also hiking trails nearby which is pretty cool. This is an Awesome Bed and Breakfast and I look forward to coming back!! I HIGHLY Recommend this place for a little R&R!

I LOVE this place. I stayed in the Bufflehead room. It has a HUGE soaking tub and a fireplace. It is nicely decorated and quiet. I have a lot of allergies to foods and they were more than accommodating with my breakfast working around my allergies. I highly reccomend it to anyone.

We went here for our 4 year anniversary. We stayed October 30th into the 31st. I had won our stay on Q104.3 by guessing hotel California by the eagles when they had played it backwards! Because it was last minute when we decided to book, the rooms that I had won were already taken so we upgraded!!!! Best decision I ve ever made! The room was gorgeous! We stayed in the goldeneye and it was breathtaking! The fireplace, the bathtub, the balcony and the bed were seriously the coziest things I ve spent time in! Not only was the room great but Jason and Maryann are AMAZING people! The food is all made by Maryann and delicious! Every moment we spent there was so relaxing and peaceful! They were extremely covid aware and took all the necessary precautions and then some but we never felt like they made it awkward or uncomfortable like other places do right now. Everything had such a flow to it from check in to check out. I couldn t be happier with our stay there! It was a night that we needed desperately after a rough year and i didn t realize it until
Now but it kickstarted a new chapter in our relationship for us and things have been going so beautifully since our stay! Sometimes you need a night without the kids that s all about you two and I cannot think of a better place to have done that! So beautiful, charming, and romantic!

I definitely recommend visiting the Wooden Duck for your next romantic getaway. Jason and Maryann were so warm and welcoming. Everything was very clean, felt especially safe despite the pandemic and food was SO delicious.

My wife and I decided to spend a night in Western NJ to go hiking and this was the perfect place to stay. The owners were so nice and welcoming. Much better than a hotel stay IMO. The room was clean and comfy and the breakfast they made in the morning was phenomenal. Would highly recommend.

A wonderful stay!! The owners, Jason and MaryAnn, are the most gracious hosts and enhanced this day so much by researching local places to make sure we didn t find ourselves outside of a closed establishment. The location is so tranquil that we really just embraced the quiet. The house itself is so warm and comfortable that in the living area, you felt as if you were sitting or just chilling out in a friend s living room. The room we had provided everything for our perfect stay: double sided fireplace, very large soaking tub for 2, small refrigerator, and a balcony. They thought of everything, even having wine glasses and a corkscrew in the room. (You have no idea how many corkscrews we ve had to buy because we have forgotten it as we ve gone away before.) ;) The perfect place to just get away from everything and relax. We will be back!!

My wife and I and are friends stayed here for a weekend in May, what a wonderful place for a get together. Beautiful area, very clean rooms and a beautiful house, breakfast was wonderful, our hosts, Jason and Mary Ann were awesome, friendly and knowledgeable, giving advice to places to go for entertainment. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.

The Wooden Duck Inn was a fabulous Bed & Breakfast experience for us. The food was delicious, the room was quaint, and the owners were friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Pintail Room in the cottage house it was like our own private getaway. I told my husband that I wanted to come back at least once every season. The grounds are beautiful, and I would love to see it through the New Jersey seasons. We only live 25 minutes from The Wooden Duck, but it felt like a mini-vacation nonetheless. One word..."PERFECTION!" Our stay at the Wood Duck could not have been any better! The Inn is immaculate and so tastefully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable - I had the best night sleep!! The B&B was an awesome getaway after a week filled of hectic running around before my wedding. My husband and I made a trip to The Wooden Duck for a mini-moon. Our first time at a B&B, the peacefulness and tranquility you get here is by far the best. Tucked away and secluded made it even better! Great place to disconnect and enjoy nature! The inn keepers were very welcoming and give you great suggestions for local activities. Definately will be returning.

This place far exceeded our expectations. I'm usually not a big fan of BNBs what with creaky floors and uncomfortable antique beds. This is a beautiful in on a lovely wooded estate. The food is awesome and we loved sitting by the pool amongst the flowers watching the various birds show up. The room was spacious and well appointed. Snacks and beverages downstairs were much appreciated. Jason and Mary Ann are tremendous hosts. You will lack for nothing. We will be back!

The owner was as rude as possible to me, and hung up on me on the phone. Horrible business!

Get one of the rooms with the see-through gas fireplace, soaking tub, and private balcony. It's luxurious! You can soak in the tub while gazing at the fire. We played a soundtrack of a crackling fire on my phone to complete the ambience! Highly recommended, and their breakfasts are nicely presented and delicious. Lots of hiking in the area as well as horseback riding.

My husband and I have been staying at the Wooden Duck Inn the past weekend. Is a perfect spot if you want to relax. The room was clean, high quality sheets and robes, very comfortable bed. George and Linda were lovely, since the arrival to the breakfast when the offer was not exactly fitting my needs, they did their best to satisfy me. Really recommended.

A little suggestion for the owners for breakfast: a little buffet with different milk, granola, nuts and cookies or cakes would complete the offer
