I have been to this place three times. We were greeted with a smile every time. All the servers here seem very friendly and confident. Unfortunately that is the only positive comments I have for this place. There was a red-haired lady working and the first time I just maybe thought she may have been having a bad day, all three times this red-haired lady stopped at our table (which that is no issue) but every time is seemed as if she was trying to correct the great service we had already gotten from the servers that were waiting on our table. It seemed like she did not have faith in the other workers. I m not sure if this lady is a manager or what. The thing that made our experiences regretting was over hearing the way she talked to her employees. If an issue comes about, the professional thing is to privately talk to a co-worker. I felt horrible for the staff there. The room gets tense when this woman walks in. I clearly over-heard an employee ask a question and a snappy response fired from red-hair s mouth. Treat others how you want to be treated. It defiantly seems like the way that this place is ran, there is only orders and down talking. The potential that this place could be without the negativity from red-hair is enormous. My apologies go out to the staff there.

First time here. Was not aware of this establishment, until we were invited to join my brother-in-law and his wife. Had a wonderful time. The wine, the food and service was excellent. Our server was Sam. She gave us excellent service. Michael, who was behind the bar, made recommendations of wines, which were excellent. Met and had a good conversation with Ed, who said his wife runs the operation. Joined their Wine Club and will definitely be back with friends

This really could be a great place. The ambiance is great, service is good; however prices are like downtown Chicago prices in the middle of nowheresville. The area doesn't support $15 cocktails and glasses of wine. Was in there today and were the only 2 customers in whole place. Probably won't go back which is a bummer bc it's a cool place.

We attended the Gala the past weekend at CD & Me and had a wonderful time, well done Val and Ed! So many amazing wines to taste set in an amazing outdoor venue, great food, live music, unique vendors and interesting classes! We hope to see more events like this and we know that The Wine Thief will deliver more great experiences!

Reading Jason Wright's review feels like deja vu. My boyfriend and I had the same experience overhearing the red haired lady when we dined in. We both work the restaurant biz, so hearing fellow servers treated that way makes us sick. The staff was delightful and the food was great but she ruined our experience and we haven't gone back.

We reserved an igloo/dome for my husband's bday and it was spectacular. Safe, delicious and secluded.
The charcuterie board was divine and the salmon was delectable.
We will be back, just sad the globes are going away.

This place is amazing!!! Ordered the seafood pasta special and was blown out of the water. Definitely five stars, if I could give more stars I would. Fast friendly service 10 of 10 would recommend. The crab salad was amazing, the poppers were to die for and the hummus was great, can not pick my favorite. Seriously it was amazing and cannot wait to go again.
