I don t know what is wrong with the labor and delivery department here but they strike out every time I brought my wife. It s honestly to much to even explain here. It s so bad there may be a lawsuit coming their way. Absolutely disgraceful, pathetic, horrible service.
I just got discharged from Backus after being treated for Covid-19. Everyone is super professional and they gave me the best and most up-to-date treatment. I was definitely a grumpy patient but they cared for and accommodated me.
So thankful I got treated by the Backus staff. They definitely know exactly what they are doing. Thanks Dr Snowden and the awesome nursing and technical staff. Also food service is excellent.
5 stars because despite reckless walk-in Covid cases (srsly people?! Stay home if you refuse to wear a mask to a hospital!), a packed ER, construction in places (to improve conditions) making flow of beds and people difficult, my personal experience was excellent. Once in the ER, my issue was diagnosed, tested, and I had immediate surgery with Dr Briggs, a specialist. He was very clear in his explanations and easy to talk to. All procedures were smooth and efficient. Every nurse and EMT i encountered was kind, professional, and all while working under intense pressure. Thank you so so much!
My arm after the nurse did my IV! This is the most embarrassing thing ever. My family thinks I am being abused now! Almost wish I never went to just have avoided this bruise. PLEASE train your nurses better!
Treatment fantastic trying to get a job there not so good you apply and apply and apply and apply and you never received an email or anything back when you have the experience and the knowledge just think it'd be more professional when you fill out so many job postings and they don't call you back or email you back kind of bothers me but I still gave it four stars
I've been here a few times for varying degrees of emergency. When I had an extremely urgent issue they were extremely urgent themselves and helped me out immediately. When I had a non-life-threatening issue I was treated very well, albeit after a few hours. That was as expected. The ER doctor was very thorough and attentive. Bravo! And thank you!
Came for imaging study for my elderly mother. Registration was quite a wait, but Shannon was awesome. Jennifer at the front desk in imaging was amazing. She went out of her way to help us & was so incredibly kind. Not too long of a wait, but it s to be expected. Mom had no complaints and I was impressed. Great job!!
I have had the need to go to backus ER twice now in the past 14 months. Both times I had a VERY Short wait and the staff has been excellent, compassionate .both visits were great actually...hardly anyone else in the waiting area.
Have lived in area for almost 50 years and always gone to Backus for everything with my kids and myself. Their ER, in-house care and follow-up is the very best. The entire staff from cleaners to surgeons treat you like family. I was out of town recently and had to go to the L&M ER and there is just no comparison in terms of time, quality of the facility, and the attitude of the staff. Backus Hospital is a very important element in our community and I recommend it for excellent care.
I have recently been there twice in the past year. I found the er staff to be very pleasant and friendly. Even though this week the place was packed everything was handled efficiently. Staff was great and helpful.
