With how incredible expensive this place was, I thought it would be a lot better stay. Although the staff was kind and would listen to concerns, the communication between staff wasn t existent. I came here for a conference, for which they obviously jacked up the price to make more money, make you pay a resort fee for which everything still costs an arm and a leg, and charge you parking and room service when you don t even have a car here and never order anything! They did take these off my bill after I brought it to their attention. I spent my first three nights without much sleep due to my toilet constantly flushing itself before they finally came and fixed it. For how expansive this place was, I sure expected a lot more and plan to not return. My last Westin experience in Boston wasn t a whole lot better, but at least they didn t charge an extra $28 for resort fees.

Their communication to the guest are horrible. Never was it communicated to us that there was a resort fee per day, $40. Why would they charge you to pay $20 per night to park? The communication regarding the fairy was unclear, so $30 later in a cab, we made it back to room. No apologies whatsoever for this inconvenience. Had to pay $44 for three ham sandwiches, chips, and drinks at hotel since we were unable to eat at a restaurant due to the lack of communication on the fairy situation. So, for two nights we paid nearly $700 and we weren t even on site 90% of the time.

This is a beautiful hotel right on the other side of Savannah Downtown. You cant miss it if you are Savannah's riverfront. The tall building is obviously the Westin Hotel and the building to the right of it is the Savannah International Convention center.

The best part is that you can take FREE boat ride to and from Savannah downtown to Hutchinson Island where this hotel sits. So if you want a good nice free ride hop on and enjoy the short 10+ ride to the other side of the river. While you are at it check out the hotel which is nice as well.

I was here for a training, and I LOVED it. I loved it enough just to make a day trip back. I've traveled through Savannah several times, but I never stopped. The Westin is a very nice hotel on the Riverfront. To get to the other side you can drive or catch a ferry boat. I've never been on a boat, and never thought I would. But, I rode the ferry boat and enjoyed it. There's a port right there so these big cargo ships come through. I've never seen ships this big in person. I could not wait to get out of class just to sit by the water, and watch these ships come through. Water is relaxing to me. So, I really enjoyed being right there at it. My last day there, I saw a dolphin swimming in the water. It was a sight to see. Joe's Crab Shack is on the Riverfront, across from my hotel. I sat outside to eat and enjoy my lovely view. I can't wait to go back with my family.

Avoid this place at all cost. Waste of money if you stay. Horrible hospitality from every employee, food is plain for it to be a resort, and it's too expensive for poor service and food. Choose another place to stay for business or vacay.

Mixed - The convenience and the ambiance was fine. Superb location on the river, though a bit overpriced in the restaurant and lounge. We had better choices at the river front across from the hotel. The pool was very cloudy and full of kids, so we chose not to swim.

Major bummer was that we came home with visitors. We stayed on the third floor in the handicap room first on the right just as you get off the elevators. I did some major timeline tracing and this was the place we got 'them'. We came home with bed bugs and have been fighting them ever since. Finally spent $2500 to have the house professionally treated and we are now 'bed bug' free. Just be aware that bed bugs do not pay attention to the price of the room nor the reputation of the hotel. Be sure to inspect your room closely. Google 'bed bugs' and learn about what you need to do and look for when you travel. And report it to the front desk immediately when you check in. the problem is becoming epidemic throughout the country. Sprays do not work, only desiccation "heat" will kill them. My advice is to become an educated traveler. These critters have no mercy, and don't be embarrassed if you get them. They are non discriminatory.

Beautiful hotel with great views all around. Staff was attentive and the pool area had a great vibe. Hotel did not offer too much in the way of bars and restaurants which is surprising due to the size of the hotel and the convention center being right next door. Room lacked all that was needed for a perfect stay. The only place that I could get my phone to charge was in the bathroom. The TV struggled to turn on and water did not drain out of the tub completely. Having said that, the bed was super comfortable.

The Westin Savannah Harbor is a beautiful hotel with breathtaking views of the Savannah River and River Street. Free ferry rides take you from the Westin across the river to River Street and back.

One of the nicer hotels I've stayed in and the view was great. What I love about Marriott Hotels is they have Netflix built into the TV programming so you can login when you get there and watch your shows. They automatically wipe out your login when you check out of the room.

The hotel is right on the Savannah River and you can take a ferry across the river to the downtown area. The ferry runs every 20 minutes.

The staff are very friendly and they have two restaurants in the hotel. One a sit down restaurant and the other is a sports bar type area.

Exceptional service upon check in, beautiful view of the river and pool, nice well kept and tidy room. I d like to give this hotel more stars but I left a very important ring behind and called twice and left messages with security and the front desk and what went from exceptional service upon check in quickly headed south once I checked out.
I m very sad about leaving my ring behind I gave a detailed description of the ring and exactly where I left it and it s like they didn t even want to try to help reunite me with it.

Although it s a gorgeous property that is conveniently located near where I travel for work I probably will not return to stay because they didn t try to help me get my ring back. No service after the sale if you will...

Came at 5 pm, check in began at 4 and the room was not clean. Had to wait a uncertain amount of time for it to be done that ended up being 50 minutes. I was supposed to get a riverfront room, said had none available and blamed it on the party I booked thru. Said they could upgrade for a extra charge (which was never stated ) or too bad basically. The golf view is the parking lot and roof of the lower part of the building.
They had smores by the pool, we weren't there for them but did get to see all the trash that was not picked up later that evening and 2 raccoons scavenging.
We were out all day and came back at 4 :15 to wash up and change for dinner. Our room was not cleaned yet. Waited another 45 until I saw the housekeeper down the hall and just asked her for fresh towels.
A 4 star hotel should be run much better.

We were in Savannah for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We stayed in a king room - river view with a balcony. (Highly recommend the upgrade! Why stay riverfront if you don t have a balcony to enjoy the river?) Each and every staff member at this hotel were all AMAZING! Concierge, front desk, room attendants...top notch service! We wanted to give a shoutout to Seth Husk who helped us get checked in. He personally gave us a list of great recommendations for restaurants/bars/things to do in Savannah, and we literally checked off everything single item on the list! Can t wait to come back to Savannah to visit again!

I checked in on September 27 at around 10:30pm for a quick one night stay and was greeted by two of the most courteous, professional, and competent front desk staff members I have ever encountered. Though I forgot to get their names, these two young women helped me with everything I needed, and got me checked in quickly. They were welcoming, informative and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for the great stay!

Wonderful hotel at a fair price for the amenities that you receive. Was there for a conference and their meeting room facilities are well above average too. Only drawback that I can see from this location is if you are not going to have a vehicle and rely on Savannah's public transit, it is a bit of a hassle to only have a ferry pick-up every 30 minutes. But it does have great hours of 0700 to Midnight. Just something to consider.

Great choice for Savanah!

Great choice for Savanah!
Very well located, you can get the complementary ferry to cross the river for restaurants and historic district. Very clean hotel, COVID-19 measures, great attention, parking for $20 and spectacular view.
Clarissa at the reception was very kind, nice, and helpful.

Yes, it is a luxurious overpriced comfortable hote...

Yes, it is a luxurious overpriced comfortable hotel full of many commodities and set at JUST the right distance from everyone else so as to be peaceful all while being close and overlooking the city... but the staff could be better as well as insulation.

Night 1 was wonderful, everything one expects from such a hotel: 5 stars!

Night 2 was full of having to hear a couple go at it: not great.

Night 3 was terrible :
At about 8pm my family and I were awoken by a loud banging on the door. No one was there. Then at about 9/9:30 a man banged on the door again and shouted security! . He didn t wait for us to see what was wrong he just ran off. But not before breathing heavily against the door... we immediately called the front desk thinking it was a prankster dressed up like security, but to our surprise it was legit; or should I say "legit". The staff justified the behaviour because apparently, a guest had been hearing an obnoxiously loud TV and they had decided that we were to blame despite there being several other guests who could have been at fault. More likely another room adjacent considering we were sleeping.
With such poor insulation, it can be very difficult to pin point a sounds orgins, so attacking one guest instead of actually investigating is absurd; furthermore, it was summertime! God bless the folks staying up late enjoying the warm nights at a hotel! Because this is a hotel, and while we ought to respect one another and maybe not blast the TV, it s someone s vacation and they deserve to enjoy it however they want to while trusting that the building is maintained enough to not eminate the sounds of their room. But aside from that, the security should never have banged on our door - clearly is was very quiet in the room because we were asleep, therefore we could not have been at fault and yet he continued to disrupt our slumber. The next day the staff made a BIG deal about it with the refusal of apology or compensation for a grand 40 minutes.

Now, the Westin is a beautiful series of hotels and I have never experienced this kind of treatment from them before. For that I can say this is my least favourite hotel, but at the end of the day an apology was given. However, the hassle around it made the remainder of my family s stay awkward and uncomfortable.

PERFECT VIEW of Historic Savannah!! Easy access to the city with the free tender. So close to Hilton Head easy 26 mile drive n only 18 miles from Tylbee Island. A lot of historic landmarks in Savannah. We will be back.

Only issue I have is with the hidden fees and charges. Every day you will be charged some random fees even if you are not using all the hotel amenities.

This hotel ruined my 2012 Thanksgiving by giving us food poisoning. After filing a complaint they never followed up. I followed up a month later with promises of free stays and my money back. Never got either. Stay far far away from this dishonest place.
